I've grown accustomed to high temperatures. I mean after all I live in Texas, everyday here is a heat wave.

It's 40 degrees celsius here, and that's hot enough for me. Especially because we're supposed to be one of the coolest countries in Europe!

In the city I live in, the temperature goes from even -10ºC in winter to even 40ºC in the summer. I'm kind of used to any kind of weather. And where I work at, the sensations are highly amplified. ¡__¡

I long for fall and winter. It got to over 100 the other day. And it's staying in the high 90's with 100% humidity! Eewwwww!
Plus it's twenty degrees hotter in the plant where I work than it is outside. We've been pouring water on ourselves in the afternoons.

Checked out all your guys' posts. All I can say now is, I know how you Texans feel! And from looking at the Englanders temps, I gotta miss the good ol' UK. I went there in '99 and the weather there was spectacular, IMO. Nothing beats a sunset in Edinburgh while wearing a jacket and long jeans in summer. And, J, though we have different jobs, I can relate. I went to one body shop today and I swear to you, the guys were drenched in what I hope was water. Because if it wasn't water, then I truly feel for them.

EDIT: I've decided to add in a weather map that shows the current temperatures. The white dot is shows where I live. I'm right where the "90" is on the map, in the center of Oklahoma. Funny how it was 90 here when it was only 73 in Amarillo, just 150 miles west of us. They must have been having a thunderstorm or something. It wasn't *quite* as hot here today as yesterday, 'cause of lower humidity. Yesterday the heat index was already 92 at 11 AM, and we had heat indexes topping 103 both Wednesday and yesterday. Today the heat index stayed below 100...still hot but more bearable. Between the floods from all the rain we got in June and July and this heat wave, much of the vegetation is dying. Almost all of the plants in front of our house are dying either from rotten roots or are withering from the heat.
