All these songs make me think of Steve Irwin:These ones make me cry...-"When You're Gone" by Avril LavigneThis one makes me think of Terri Irwin and what she's going through... Loss is one thing, but when you're deeply in love with the person as well, wow.. I wouldn't know how that feels in this stage of my life. "When you're gone The pieces of my heart are missing you When you're gone The face I came to know is missing too When you're gone The words I need to hear to always get me through the day And make it OK I miss you" -"Afterglow" by INXSThis song means a lot to me. I dedicated it to Steve Irwin when he first died. It makes me cry, but it also made me feel better during those first couple months. Basically, it's me trying to convince myself that I'm going to me okay without him, because in the end, I'm following in his footsteps. =,) "Touch me and I will follow, In your afterglow. Heal me from all this sorrow, As I let you go. I will find my way When I see your eyes, Now I'm living, In your afterglow." -"Slipped Away" by Avril LavigneFor some reason a while back I had dedicated this to the Drakken/Shego relationship... I saw the song in a different light, and I saw it as Drew Lipsky "slipping away" and becoming evil.. y'know? Well, it made sense to me. ANYWAYS.. Avril wrote the song in dedication to her late grandfather. Whenever I listen to it these days, it kind of makes me think of Bindi and what she's going through. "Na na Na na na na na
I miss you Miss you so bad I don't forget you Oh it's so sad
I hope you can hear me I remember it clearly
[Chorus] The day you slipped away Was the day i found It won't be the same Oh
Na na Na na na na na
I didn't get around to kiss you Goodbye on the hand I wish that I could see you again I know that I can't ooooooooooooh I hope you can hear me Cause I remember it clearly
[Chorus]
[Bridge]
I've had my wake up Won't you wake up I keep asking why And I can't take it It wasn't fake it It happened you passed by
Now you're gone Now you're gone There you go There you go Somewhere I can't bring you back Now you're gone Now you're gone There you go There you go Somewhere you're not coming back
[Chorus]X2
Na na Na na na na na
I miss you." -"I'm Already There" by LonestarI had heard this song before, but it really hit me when I heard it used on a youtube dedication video to Steve Irwin. Once again makes me think of Bindi, and Bob too. "A little voice came on the phone, said 'Daddy, when you coming home?'"... Although it does make me a little bit happy, because it makes me feel like he's... always there. "I'm already there Take a look around I'm the sunshine in your hair I'm the shadow on the ground I'm the whisper in the wind I'm your imaginary friend And I know I'm in your prayers Oh I'm already there... ...I'm already there Don't make a sound I'm the beat in your heart I'm the moonlight shining down I'm the whisper in the wind And I'll be there 'till the end Can you feel the love that we share Oh I'm already there... ...I'm already there Take a look around I'm the sunshine in your hair I'm the shadow on the ground I'm the whisper in the wind And I'll be there 'till the end Can you feel the love that we share Oh I'm already there Oh I'm already There." -"Hallelujah" by Jeff BuckleyThis song made me cry ever since the first time I heard it. Yes, this isn't the original, but I think it's more special, because you can really hear the soul and heart in Jeff Buckley's voice. Also.. there's the fact that his first album was so.. heavenly, and yet he died right after it came out (drowned in a river). =,( A lot of people say he "has an angel's voice". This song makes me think of multiple things that make me cry... not just one thing. ... "Well maybe there's a God above But all I've ever learned from love Was how to shoot somebody who'd OUT DREW YA And it's not a cry that you hear at night It's not somebody who's seen the light It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah" -"How To Save A Life" by The FrayThe first time I heard this song, I really didn't listen to it well enough, or really get it. Then I saw the music video, and I was so so shocked. The song and the music video goes through all the steps of when you lose someone... I think I'm still stuck inbetween the steps of "Fear" and "Release", because I know I still haven't entirely accepted it, and I guess that's okay.. The last steps are "Have Faith", "Surrender", "Release the Fear", "Love", "Open Up", "Remember" and "Say Goodbye" :C This song came out at about the same time Steve died. "Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend Somewhere along in the bitterness And I would have stayed up with you all night Had I known how to save a life"Music Video (most see): youtube.com/watch?v=3cqJJ-u0nog-"He Changed Our World" (which was actually made in his dedication) I think it's pretty obvious why this one makes me sad... "To change this world You need the heart of a lion To change this world You need the faith of a child Don't you know you need to touch a billion people to get your message heard To change this world To be a hero You've gotta tangle with danger Holding onto nature And never letting go Don't you know you need to stand and shout out loud and make your message heard To change this world And all at once Voices from the wilderness Will be calling out your name Now we're apart Those voices fill my heart To change this world Crikey what an adventure To change this world And make a better place Don't you know we need to touch a billion people and make your message heard To change this world You changed my world."Video: youtube.com/watch?v=hpvkz76VsaEBut these ones empower me =,)...-"Dare You To Move" by SwitchfootThis song empowers me, because it's like... when you're down, and you feel like everything is lost, you just need to get up and keeping going if you want your dreams to come true C: "I dare you to move I dare you to move I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor I dare you to move I dare you to move Like today never happened Today never happened before
Welcome to the fallout Welcome to resistance The tension is here The tension is here Between who you are and who you could be Between how it is and how it should be"-"Drops of Jupiter" by TrainThis is a beautiful song that tells the tale of a girl trying to find and create herself =) "Now that she's back in the atmosphere With drops of Jupiter in her hair, hey, hey She acts like summer and walks like rain Reminds me that there's time to change, hey, hey Since the return from her stay on the moon She listens like spring and she talks like June, hey, hey
Tell me did you sail across the sun Did you make it to the Milky Way to see the lights all faded And that heaven is overrated
Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star One without a permanent scar And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there
Now that she's back from that soul vacation Tracing her way through the constellation, hey, hey She checks out Mozart while she does tae-bo Reminds me that there's room to grow, hey, hey
Now that she's back in the atmosphere I'm afraid that she might think of me as plain ol' Jane Told a story about a man who is too afraid to fly so he never did land
Tell me did the wind sweep you off your feet Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day And head back to the Milky Way And tell me, did Venus blow your mind Was it everything you wanted to find And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there
Can you imagine no love, pride, deep-fried chicken Your best friend always sticking up for you even when I know you're wrong Can you imagine no first dance, freeze dried romance five-hour phone conversation The best soy latte that you ever had . . . and me
Tell me did the wind sweep you off your feet Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day And head back toward the Milky Way
[Repeat 1st Chorus]"Music Video: youtube.com/watch?v=VS0CV_GWEMI-"Soar" by Christina AguileraHer voice is so empowring... and this song is so empoering.. holy crap. I literally crap myself wiht wonderfulness listening to this song! "Don't be scared to fly alone, find a path that is your own Love will open every door it's in your hands, the world is yours Don't hold back and always know, all the answers will unfold What are you waiting for, spread your wings and soar..."-"Porcelain" by Moby It's not really the lyrics of this song, but the sound of it. This song literally makes me melt. If you haven't heard it, please go and listen to it. Everytime I listen to this sond I imagine myself blazing through the African savannahs on a Jeep with my hands out waving in the air, and I see myself running through the woods, and experiencing every joy in my life and being with aimals and stuff. I hope this song can define my life. And a few others always empower me and make me feel a little more complete <3 I can't believe it's almost been a year. =,( (Other songs make me cry too.. like songs from soundtracks and.. "Concrete Angel", etc... but these ones make me bawl everytime........ or make me very very happy)

This is kind of a sad song.
» Harry Connick, Jr.- You Don't Know Me
You give your hand to me Then you say hello And I can hardly speak My heart is beating so And anyone can tell You think you know me well But you don't know me No You don't know the one Who dreams of you at night Who longs to kiss your lips Who longs to hold you tight Oh I'm just a friend That's all I've ever been Cause you don't know me
For I never knew the art of making love Though my heart aches with love for you Afraid and shy I let my chance go by The chance that you might love me too
You give your hand to me Then you say goodbye I watch you walk away beside that lucky guy You'll never never know The one who loves you so Well you don't know me
Oh I never knew the art of making love Though my heart aches with love for you Afraid and shy I let my chance go by The chance that you might love me too
You give your hand to me Then you say goodbye I watch you walk away beside that lucky guy Oh you will never know The one who loves you so Cause you don't know me Oh no you don't know me Oohh...you don't know me

Another some what sad, but more to Emotional song ..
Disenchanted - My Chemical Romance
Well I was there on the day They sold the cause for the queen And when the lights all went out We watched our lives on the screen I hate the ending myself, But it started with an alright scene
It was the roar of the crowd, That gave me heartache to sing It was a lie when they smiled And said you won’t feel a thing And as we ran from the cops We laughed so hard it would sting
Yeah yeah Whoa
If im so wrong, (so wrong, so wrong) Can you listen to it all night long? (Night long, night long) Oh will it matter, after I’m gone Because you never learned a aw, shucksed thing
You're just a sad song, with nothing to say About a life long wait for a hospital stay And if you think that I’m wrong This never meant nothing, to you
I spent my high school career Spit on and shoved to agree So I can watch all my heroes Sell a car on TV We got the obvious team, We’ll show them what we all mean
Yeah, yeah ohhh
If I’m so wrong (so wrong, so wrong) Can you listen to it all night long? (Night long, night long) Now will it matter, after im gone? Because you never learned a aw, shucksed thing?
It’s just a sad song, with nothing to say About a life long wait for a hospital stay. And if you think that I’m wrong, this never meant nothing to you
So go, Away, Just go Right away
But where did you run to? Where did you hide? Go find another way Price you pay
Whoa, whoa Whoa, whoa
Well, well
You're just a sad song With nothing to say About a lifelong, wait for a hospital stay And if you think im wrong This never meant nothing to you Come on
You're just a sad song With nothing to say About a lifelong, wait for a hospital stay And if you think I’m wrong This never meant nothing to you. At all
At all At all At all
