Just thinking. In my fics, Kim drives a (tricked out) PT Cruiser. Her new car looks like it's partly based on a Beetle, but looks, IMHO, too much like an exotic sports car.

My first impulse is to say "Nahh." But we'll see as the season progresses. My biggest fear is that the car (if it has too many gadgets, has a personality, etc.) might upstage Kim. Sadie was great for one episode, but I don't wanna have another one like her sticking around...

Not like it's the first time Drakken's encountered aliens I think her car's fine, so long as the villains can keep up with it. Maybe there'll be a Doom-vee 3.0 or something. Or maybe Shego flies her jet more often ;D

Nah...compared to some of the cars I've seen, and I've seen a bunch (my Dad has a '06 Ford Mustang GT), her car is tame.

Actually funny thing I saw a car just like it as a prop in the program I use at a Japanese site. Just no luck finding the actual thing. (all I saw a texture file for it)

It's Kim's car! How could it not be over the top?! Maybe it goes into a normal car disguise after missions.

Hehe, I'm gonna be the voice of possible evils here. What if she has an "over the top" car at the beginning, then (because she's a risk taker) there's an accident and she can't get it back... and her parents decide it's time to teach her a lesson and make her earn her next (less "over the top", more "safety conscious") car.
No one gets hurt during the accident (this is Disney after all) but she gets the whole "you could have hurt someone" guilt trip, and the moral lesson of the story is force fed to todays youth (I'm not saying it's a bad thing, it's probably better than the PSA's at the end of the cartoons I grew up on).

Or, judging from the promos, it's a car that is tricked out with every conceivable gadget you could think of, except that nothing is labeled or they don'tdo what Wade (and it looks liek the Tweebs) intended.
<Obnoxious English Professor Mode ON>
We call this, in most modern animation, "The Inspector Gadget Effect."
<Obnoxious English Professor Mode OFF>
Or even better:
Kim: Okay, the car has jets, can fly, laser beams, heat seeking missiles, freeze ray, sumbersible mode, coffee maker, onboard computer with GPS, danger sensitive armor AND force field--
Ron: Don't for get the built in naco bar!
Rufus: Naco!
Kim: (giving Ron a look then turning back to the Tweebs) ...the naco bar, and bullet proof, shred proof and puncture proof tires.
Twwebs: Cool isn't it?
Kim: Yes, very cool. Just one question.
Jim: Sure.
Kim: Where's the engine?
(The tweebs look at each other)
JIm: Aw MAN I knew we were forgetting something.

It's hard to say. We know it flies, we assume that it is fast. We also know that it can't cross over water. I just can't get the thought out of my mind with that S on the hood. I still think some type of "Sadie" is going to show up. Kim can go over the top just like Ron can, remember the supershoes, so maybe she goes a little too far with the car. There are a lot of things that could happen. The only thing I can say is let's wait and see.

We've only seen what the car looks like in the promos. That's not enough for me. I'm planning on waiting to see how it can perform in the series before I can establish an opinion though. It's too soon to even ask if her car is over the top anyway.

Kim: Okay, the car has jets... [...] Kim: Where's the engine? (The tweebs look at each other) JIm: Aw MAN I knew we were forgetting something. So why don't they just use the jets to move the car? Also, Ashley, you like Instpector Gadget? Because I remember hearing about it as a little kid, and outraged that someone else would dare and rip off her name. (Guess who I'm talking about.)

Well as long as it doesn't have aquatic capablilties I say the car isn't over the top. Flying? Who cares. Autobahn speeds on the side streets of Middleton? Whatever.
But the day that thing gets aquatic capablities... oh that day the car will become so over the top the sky could well rain puppies.
