Monique will be joining KP on missions in season 4, and the tweebs will skip two grades and enter high school. A good thing or a bad thing?
I say, "good". Why?
In seasons 1-3, Ron was the comic relief all the way. Monique was pretty funny on the mission in A Sitch in Time. So she might take over for Ron on that front. The tweebs would take most of the comic relief at school. Therefore, we're likely to see a more serious Ron in season 4.

That kinda, sorta, makes sense in a weird way.

A more serious Ron? I hope you mean a more competant Ron. I'd not like to see him become serious like Kim is on missions. It's just not in his personality. There is room for that during the fighting though, like when he was facing Dr. D at the end of StD.

I hope Ron becomes more useful in a fight, maybe master monkey kung fu, etc, but keeps his personality.

There is room for that during the fighting though, like when he was facing Dr. D at the end of StD. I agree. Monique was funny in ASIT, but not take-over-the-comic-relief-role funny. I personally never really found the Tweebs to be all that hilarious. I'm glad they'll have bigger roles, but these changes in the show don't have to affect Ron's overall personality. Serious Ron? That would be a really drastic personality change. A bit more mature/grown up? Maybe. More effective and competant in combat? Definitely. Less funny? No way. I'd really hate to see that happen. It's a huge part of his Ron-ness.

One thing I am really afraid of is that they would change Ron's personality in Season 4, since he is now dating Kim. It would really wreck the show IMO if they did that.

I have to agree with others. I would love to see a more competant Ron not a more mature Ron.
To be honest, I doubt that we will see either one.

Ron was acting quite mature in front of Zita? Remmber how he asked Rufus to keep his table manners on? Kim was kinda of upset he did not tell Rufus to do it that way when she is around.
Ron a bit more mature? I hard;y doubt it. I like his carefree person. Hope he will be the same and I also hope that the tweebs may help in the mission.

Well, IMO, we already have a serious Kim (in some eps). I would like Ron to keep most of his carefree personality. He should definitely keep his being funny, his "Ron-ness".

Some of you guys don't understand what I meant. Let me rephrase it. Ron is likily to take things (like his grades) more seriously. I'm not saying he'll become a Volcian, just a more resposable man.

Why are they making Ron serious in the new season? It's not offical, so don't bet any money on it.

Responsible, hmm... it might take a little longer for him to be responsible, maybe that will be what the 4th season will be about, after all, each of the seasons usually have a theme that encompasses that entire season.
Quite OOP, but on the topic of maturity, both Ron and Kim are mature in their own areas. Kim is definitely more responsible than Ron (her perfectionist attitude seems to help). Ron, on the other hand, is more forgiving, a good example being Vir-tu-Ron where he doesn't take revenge on Malcolm after trapping him in Everlot and in fact recommends Malcolm to the drama club. I don't know about you, but that sounds pretty mature to me. In the end, it still boils down to what you, the viewer, sees mature as.
EDIT: BTW, Forlong, you may be right, we never know, only time will tell...

I would say no. XD We need the Nacho man for laughs! From episodes so far, I think Ron can be plenty serious without having to lose any of his humor. XD

I like Ron being the funny one. But I would like him to help in the fights a bit more.
