Ok now Ron's still my favorite character ;D But has any one noticed how much Ron has changed from seasons one to three? First off his voice has become much more err um what's the word? Higher lol. Second, were finding more fears out of Ron. Monkeys and bugs was fine with me, but now we keep finding more things for our buddy to be afraid of. This has got to stop people. Plus how many times has Ron dropped his pants in season three? Please the man needs his self of respect back. Plus he doesn't fight as much in season three. Actually he just fears every thing in season three, and stays out of Kim’s way. In seasons one threw two he was over all a better character. Does any one else see this? Dark Ron rocks I loved him in the episode Bad, Boy and some other episodes Ron was cool in too. But I do want the seasons one threw two Ron back any one else want this? No offense Ron..I love yah man you’re my favorite character. We just need a change or some thing. If you feel my topic is kind of rude tell me so and just ignore it thank you.

Maybe they're building up on rons character as development that way there is more for him to overcome in season 4

Fear is a tricky thing. Ron was always afraid of bug and, of course, monkeys. In season 3 more reminded him of what he feared, thus he always cowered. Useless to Kim and staying out of her way? I never saw that.
Steal Wheels: Ron frees Felix's wheelchair while Kim distracts Shego. Ron can't do anything to stop Motor Ed and Drakken, but he does understand what Kim and Felix are planning.
Emotion Sickness: On the mission, Ron goes after Drakken. He's hanging on to the man's feet. That's got to be hard. The rest of the episode, it's all up to him to save Kim and the day. He does lose his pants, but he reminds Kim of the danger he's in and snaps her out of it.
Bonding: Ron isn't even able to join the first fight. Through most of the episode, he's attached to Barkin. He does save the day, though.
Bad Boy: Ron turns into Dark Ron. He's very competent here.
Dimension Twist: Ron does lose his pants. Despite his fear of monkeys, Ron does save the day.
Overdue: Ron's the only one on the missions. He saves the world not once, but three times.
Roachie: It's Roachie that saves the day here, but it's because of his friendship with Ron.
And the Mole-Rat Will Be CGI: Ron does aid Kim in tying together the helicopters and beat up the henchmen. Quinn is impressed.
Gorilla Fist: Ron does take point several times in this episode.
Rappin' Drakken: Ron saves the day on both missions.
Team Impossible: Ron does stay out of the way this time. Why is addressed.
So the Drama: Ron saves Kim several times in this episode. He takes down the sumo-ninja, and kicks Erik's head so hard that it twists around. He loses his pants once and is caught with his pants down another time.
Ron being more fearful and less helpful? I don't see it.

He is growing up into a man. He is fianlly not being so immature, although he still has those moments. But now he is facing his fears and taking responsibility on the missions. He proved how much he has grown in STD by finally coming to turn with his feelings for Kim and not being afraid to fight the villians in the end.

I find that the lack of Ron taking center stage in season 3 was due to the lack of episodes left to produce at that time (65 anyone? I hear screams of anger already) and that they had to focus more on K/R and not on Ron.
Oh, and he didn't fear everything. I like to think that he has his own strengths that differ from Kim's (and I must say he's pretty darn brave to stand in front of national television doing his naked mole rap and also in front of a "snarky TV pretty boy", either that, or he's thick, very thick)
On a personal note, I don't see any negative change in him, but then again, I am seeing him more as a cartoon character here than as a real, live human being. He was always meant to be the walking joke cum potential boy. I think the kids love him that way and you know Disney...

Yes, Ron actually is less mature in season three, up until the last act of "So the Drama." I think it relates to his relationship with Kim. Up through puberty, their tightness was never questioned. After "Blush," Ron pretty much gave up any desire for romance with Kim, just slightly before she started showing signs of interest in him. To Ron in season 3, romance is shaky and unstable, friendship is solid, and whenever he's stressed out by what's happening between him and Kim, he retreats toward toys and childhood, when everything was okay between them.
Actually, by "So the Drama" this was exactly the wrong approach. Kim wants a boyfriend, and it's either gonna be Ron, or someone else, if he's not interested. His childishness makes him look not interested.
Given this, I think we can expect a somewhat more mature Ron in season four. Think Ron as we see him from the "No on 65" bumper sticker to the end as a possible model.

I think a few people here have this fantasized personal vision of Ron, and can't handle it when that fantasy isn't always realized in the show. I know it's common to perfect in your mind a favorite character, but you still must remember that it is a character, and you aren't in control of Ron.
The voice fluxuation... I never minded that. I felt it added to the very dramatic side of Ron. I have a guy friend that does the exact same thing. And as I have said before... it's usually the actor doing what he will with the voice.
As I have said before, this happens with pretty much anything you watch or read. A character will slightly change, as the writers and actors and whomever decide exactly who this character is. Ron has always had his immature moments... we just happen to be around more often in season 3 to see them.
Considering what happened in StD, I can see a more mature Ron for season 4--he's no longer "allowed" to be childish now that he is the boyfriend... and we know he's macho enough to take that stand.
Though the pants thing did get annoying after awhile, I really don't see how Ron necessarily changed. Ron's character was simply settled on. Come on, look at Kim! I think she became a lot more shallow and whiney regarding certain things since the 4th season.

i think they'r just telling us that you shouldnt care what other ppl think about you,take ron for instence,he looses his pants all the time but the only resson he cares is becase it happens so offten, and about this never fights anymore problem, yeah shurr he has badakul fighting skills but thay only come when he has to have them, like when he's the only one to save some one,thats when they kick in,but kim is there for him alot more in this sesson, so his skills dont need to kick in as much,unfortunetly he cant fight without them. so what els is he sopposed to do? pick up a stick swing and hope for the best? or even better ask kim to let him fight without eny help from her untill he wins or gets knocked out?!?!?!?!?!

But the reason I like Ron is because his character IS RELATABLE! What I relate to IS his goofiness, his lack of social skill... and the fact that life is still good anyway and he keeps on going. No one likes the completely noble and perfect. There is nothing interesting or even human about that. And to be perfectly honest, I still don't see many of the points you are trying to make. |

I think Ron will be a litte more serious. Maybe able to overcome his fears. Yet, he still needs his "Ronness". That playful part of him. Kim needs that very much. She can get way too serious at times and needs Ron to calm her down a notch. Not hold her back, but give a little stress relief. Yes he goes overboard at times, and I think he realizes that and will work to correct that. He is inept sometimes, his social skills are lacking too sometime. But that is his character. But the one thing shines clear. He CARES about Kim, he tries to overcome those fears, work on the ineptness and clean up his social act. He fails most of the time but he keeps trying. I think Kim is starting to realize that. Kim needs Ron to calm her down. Ron needs Kim to speed him up. Just my take on the deal.

I really don't see what you mean by this. I will admit that Ron does become somewhat goofier, but I think that's how they finally decided his character ws.
And when he does become goofier, it seems to me he also gains the determination and will to deal with that. That's why I admire Ron.

Ron is has flawed character traits. But he tries, and Kim loves him for that.
Keep in mind that Ron was mentally damaged from the horrible experience at Camp Wannaweep early in his childhood. In Sink Or Swim, Ron addresses those fears, and sees that he has certain talants. From that point on, Ron slowly regains the confidence needed to help Kim save the world. But Ron is not perfect.
But neither is Kim. Kim is overconfident, has boy troubles (including Ron), wants to stay high on the social ladder, feels threatened by rivals, tries to juggle too many things in her life at once (home, school, and saving the world), picks her nose when no one is looking, a bit of an exibitionist (changes clothes in front of Ron), collects cuddle buddies (if you think collecting plush is evil), and is a peeping tom (has telescope pointed down to houses).

Actually, when Ron drop his pants is his kind of signature and i am kinda of like it. (Do not get dirty thoughts mind you)
Do you really want to see Ron to become more serious and more powerful? I rather tnot. I rather see him as a clumsy person since it brings out the laughter. It is not shame but it is a good sense of humour

I want Ron to be the same as he always was except I just want him to be more of a fighter and stop being so childish. the end of STD makes me think he will. being Kim's boyfriend now there is really no reason for this not to happen.
And in season 4, I think when there is a serious moment where something bad is going to happen on a mission or something is really bothering Kim he should act completely mature, I think this will take the audience by surprise as his character completely changes from lovable, goofy, happy boyfriend to completely serious, determined, straight faced boyfriend.
