(Let's keep this PG and lower, please and thank you)
Time for some good old fashioned speculation on what happened between the So the Drama kiss and the first day of Senior Year.
I for one think the nightmare was much closer to the rest of Ill-Suited since the whole episode was dealing with Ron's insecurity issues, rather than being right after the prom. My evidence? Just a feeling that when Kim said "We're dating" I got the feeling that their status was firmly established when she said that.
I suspect there were many scenes where Ron leaned in with his lips puckered up, and Kim said "Not now, Ronnie." There might have been some instances of any one of their family members catching them in the middle of a nice kiss.

I think it was more like once a week meeting at the most, with mild dating stuff that could just as easily be friend-hanging. Little to no physical contact.

I agree, the aforementioned dream sequence was very close to the prom. They both seemed a little fluttery to me.
I think it was a rather awkward summer. I just see them sitting around, thinking "So... now what?"

Well as I said in the other thread i believe the phone call was the night of the prom and the next scene at dementors was three months later a day before the start of senior year. I suspect there were many scenes where Ron leaned in with his lips puckered up, and Kim said "Not now, Ronnie." There might have been some instances of any one of their family members catching them in the middle of a nice kiss. I agree. I can imagine Mr Dr. P walking in from work to find Ron and Kim Kissing on the living room sofa. All they were doing was Kissing and Mr. Dr P get's upset but Kim has to calm him down. They make a rule that the only time they can kiss in the house is when a guardian is around. Akward. ;D

I don't think the phone call was right after prom. The way Kim says, "[kissing] won't happen again if you keep calling me in the middle of the night!" makes me think it wasn't the first such call.
Just a theory.

i think the phone call was a couple days before the first day of school. I think Ron was kinda nervous to go back to school and see what others thought and Kim was just trying to comfort him him

Come to think of it the way she said it wont happen again makes me think they kissed more than that 1 time which would make it have to be way after the prom.

I have trouble thinking that it was a complete pivot at the prom from friends to romanticalness. I like to think they spent the summer, or at least part of it, getting to where they are in Season 4.

Yeah, that's a definite possibility. ;D Seriously, they might have ended that kiss and thought it was a bit weird and a bit too soon. Or they did go the right way to the extent that the Disney Channel is not allowed to show it and just shows everything else.

Comparing the prom kiss to S4, I'd say they went the wrong way. ;D Well if you read the I'll Suited script there is a big kiss that got cut after the second football game because of time. So i don't think it's out of the question that they are kissing off screen because it's been cut from a script so it was supposed to be there. Still i believe they have done a great job. I would love to see more Kisses but i know a lot of the audience would be turned off by it so i understand where the creators are coming from.

i agree if u look at S4 you can see a huge maturity in the way they act towards one another i guess the summer was time to figure things out

a little bit of trying to get a feel for when to go in for a kiss.
I do believe though they were a couple once they got to the prom that night and the kiss sealed the deal. It's just i believe it took a little time to know when to do certain things and when not to do certain things and etc.

That would explain how they were acting right before the dance and the kiss. hhmmmm i like it

I feel like we missed a lot of thoughtful and serious conversations between our favourite couple of heroes. That's what I think. They had to work to change their status quo.

Especially Ron.I dont think they find it weird that they are a couple. In fact it has been addressed many times in the show that its weird but they are ok with it but i think they are just not gonna do smack lips action in public too much since i think its a bit early in their relationship and they want it to build up first when they are more confident and even closer to each other to take it to the next level.

Their summer was probably kind of awkward. I know if i got together with my guy best friend, I wouldn't just make out with him right away.

I tend to think the awkward, feeling out the relationship phase only lasted for a week into the summer, or two at most. They have too much comfort and closeness between themselves to be affected by this kind of problem for long. The amount of passion in the STD kiss scene would also suggest that they both knew that this point in their relationship was coming sooner or later.
