The way Monty laughs in ' Monkey Fist Strikes' after Kim says ''it was no big'' and in ' Big Bother' after Monty says ''the scroll warns that as the yellow shrine was guarded by sand, the blue shrine is guarded by stone. So why risk myself and my monkeys when I can get Team Possible to find the traps for me?" Is his normal dry laugh, just ''haha''. I honestly don't know about the manical monkey laugh. Monty's either calm or manical and seldom anything in between. I'd say the laugh switches between the two kinds depending on the mood and the situation. ...But who knows? Who knows? XD Thinking of the moment when Ron tickled him in ' Monkey Fist Strikes', It could be considered a non-manical laughter too. Kinda LOLhilarious. I hope I don't confuse you! Oh riiiiight. I forgot about his "dry laughs".. but those are very obviously sarcastic (which I love, because Monty's so sarcastic and English.. lol). And, yea.. he's either one extreme or the other extreme, but I'd love to her a genuine laugh of his that isn't maniacal... I have something in mind as to what it would sound like, but obviously.. it's hard to describe. *shrug*

I just think he has an all around good laugh, regardless of the pitch or effort put into it. But yeah I'd love to hear a good hearted laugh from him as well....like if he genuinely found something funny for the sake of it being funny-for the right reasons. It's hard to explain, but yeah I follow.

WHAT CAN WE TALK ABOUT NOW?

We were posting MF quotes, remember? That's one thing to do while thinking of what else MF-related to talk about.
I'll continue:
(To Ron:) "So monkey hater, we meet again''. (Suddenly interrupted by a chime sound, possibly automatically inside Monkey Fist's head, and he goes into meditation mode) ''Serenity chime, time to center". MF debut episode: 'Monkey Fist Strikes', Season 1

Oh yeah! Thanks Hannah! *ponders on some more quotes* I like it when he gets so angry in "Exchange". He's full blown all out MAD! Full nostril flare and everything. Yes, it's priceless, as always. I love every strong emotion from rage, frustration and painful, dark sadness to joy, excitement and fuzzy, warm feelings! And yeah....there was much nostril flaring in that episode....and more in the episodes to come. ''The Lotus Blade!'' ''NOOOOOOOOO!'' I like how he was really furious here, every muscle was pumping in pure rage. You don't mess with an angry monkey! And- the next scene, after Ron says '' OK, real quickly, I wanna point out that it wasn't my fault. He did it!'' *points at Fukushima*: ''GRRRRGH ATTACK!'' Wow...I think put too much effort into my posts with pictures and all...but that's how I like it. Enjoy! *********************************************** Also, another favorite MF moment of mine is the scene in ' Monkey Ninjas in Space' where Monty frantically bangs on the rocket door trying to get it open. I really like the situations where Monty's desperate and totally crazy. The trivia says Monkey Fist either didn't know how to open the door, or was panicked and had forgotten how to do it. I think both. A confused, desperate and insane man monkey is dangerous, yet somewhat ''aw''! Like I've written before, speaking of panic and desperate moments, I'll mention the scene in ' Monkey Fist Strikes' where Monty tries to save the four jade monkey statues. It is, of course, a favorite. Hmmm...quotes:Bates: "My Lord could have handled those primitive booby-traps." Monty Fiske: "And risk injuring, THESE hands?! Besides, by masquerading as the ninja, I threw suspicion off me." MF debut episode: 'Monkey Fist Strikes', season 1Again...it's the tone of voice in when he says '' THESE''. It's somewhat ''jokeful'' and surprising at the same time. Sudden loud yelling, quickly followed by and calmed down with a clever line. ________________________________________________ "A lemur?! I've never even been to Madagascar. Hm. Lemur, indeed." MF episode 4: 'The Full Monkey', season 2The fun thing about that quote IMO, is that since lemurs are not considered a family in the same suborder as monkeys and apes, they're not ''real'' simians to Monty. Even funnier, in norwegian, an other word for lemur is ''half-monkey''. It made me crack up for a second, thinking of Monty being part monkey, and being called a lemur. But he's part monkey- and part human. And we learn that Monty's never been to Madagascar. I guess that's because of the ''lemurs aren't real simians''-thing, so it's not of interest.

What's interesting is how the artists change his appearance.. body wise. Like, sometime he looks super skinny, and other times .. like in those last two pics you posted, Hannah, .. he looks a lot more muscular. Y'know..?

Yes...I know, I know. I say it again: of all the characters I've ever got hooked on, Monty's the one who has changed the most physically wise. ....and shortly after, he's back to ''athletic asparagus physique'' again (aspargus in this case=slim/slender and flexible). We were talking about it here: ronstoppable.proboards89.com/index.cgi?board=villains&action=display&thread=1121286091&page=6I'd really like to know why Monty's physical appearance changed so much, artistically wise. But we may never know, so I guess we have to blame it all on the monkey DNA.

*Nods* Most likely. I still wonder if they did it by purpose, or if it was just an artistic mistake, ''laziness'' or something. I like it anyway. Seeing as Monty's a bit bi-polar and part monkey, it fits his character to suddenly develop super strength or extreme monkey features caused by strong emotional outbursts.

I agree, Sarah. I love the monkey ninja moments.

"Come to me Han, I'll raise you as my own and school you in monkey evil!'' -'Oh No! Yono!', season 4
