It's not meant to reflect gender, just the style you prefer.
One difference between me and SSS, is the fact that I won't just walk away from the hero once I capture them. Either dispose of them quickly, or lock them away welding the door shut and keeping them where I can see them at all times (don't trust your incompetent/possibly turncoat henchmen).
