Can it be that Quin Separable, the one who likes no pairings, who *mostly* speaks out against K\R actually write a fic that has K\R in it?! *hears gasps*
Yes, I have finally lost it and have started a piece with K\R in it. It really isn't my choice, but I believe that this is the only way it's going to work . . . after So The Drama. Don't worry, it doesn't focus around K\R's relationship . . . there is a plot in mind.
Anyway, it's titled "By My Side" and rated G\PG. It is in the early stages of devolopment. I actually have this somewhat planned out (outline going and everything). I have no idea how long it's going to take me, but I'm not putting up on Fanfiction.net until it's completed. However, I want to know how you think it's going. So here's the beginning of it for all who wish to read. Please comment. Constructive Crisism welcomed!

Darkness surrounded them. The only light they had to see by was the light that came from in front of them, but it wasn't a constant light . . . it changed in not only color, but brightness as well, and it wasn't only one shade but many. There were people all around them and walls around everyone so that they were enclosed in a dark room with only two small, closed doors as exits.
Yet it didn't matter. Ron Stoppable stole a glance at his girlfriend and smiled as he studied her profile as she watched the movie that played on a large screen in front of them. They had been friends for so long that it felt a bit awkward that they were now dating. Ron casually put his arm around Kim Possible, feeling extremely nervous as he did so. It was true that they had already kissed, but he didn't want to be too forward. Kim had always been - and still was - his best friend, and even if this dating thing didn't work out, he didn't want it to ruin the lifetime friendship that they had.
Kim turned when she felt Ron's eyes on her face and his arm around her shoulders. She could see the nervousness in his eyes so she smiled at him. Even though it was at times awkward to be dating her best friend, she had not yet regretted doing so. They hadn't been on many dates yet, but they still hung out like they had before. About the only main changes they faced at the moment was the fact that neither looked for dates and when they walked down the halls together, they did so hand in hand. They still hung out at Bueno Nacho and went on missions like they used to.
Soon, the movie ended and people began filing out of the theatre, talking and laughing about various things or just quickly walking out of the movie theatre to get to wherever it was that they wanted to go. Kim and Ron waited until the majority of the crowd dispersed before likewise leaving the theatre. They didn't hurry as they left, but instead walked at their own pace, hand in hand.
"That was a cool movie." Ron commented as they turned toward their homes.
"How would you know?" Kim asked, a small smile on her face, as she elbowed him lightly. "You didn't even watch it."
"Oh so I got distracted . . . does that make it my fault?" Ron asked playfully.
Kim raised an eyebrow. "You've gotten mushy, Stoppable."
"You make that sound like a bad thing." he replied flashing a small smile at her. "Don'tcha like the new me?"
"But I fell in love with the old you." Kim protested.
"Well, I-I can change back!" Ron exclaimed, forcing a small laugh out of Kim.
"Come on, we have to get back." she said as they turned down her road.
Ron glanced down at his watch. "Whoa, didn't realize it was so late. It's almost quarter to."
Their pace quickened a bit as they made their way toward Kim's home. It was a clear, beautiful spring night. The stars twinkled as they shown and the full moon seemed to be watching Middleton, guarding it from whatever dangers that could present themselves. Kim stole a glance at them before turning into her yard and walking up to her porch.
"You coming in?" she asked as she rested her hand on the doorhandle.
"Nah, I have to get home." Ron replied.
"Well, I had fun tonight." Kim said, flashing another smile at her boyfriend.
"Me too." Ron replied as he moved closer to her face and gave her a small peck on the cheek. "See you tomorrow at school."
Kim nodded, blushing. "Yeah. Make sure you get some rest. Big Geometry test tomorrow."
The smile faded off Ron's face and was replaced with one of shock. "Geometry test?! Tomorrow?! Oh man!"
Kim giggled and kissed him on the cheek. "Good night Ron."
"Night KP." Ron replied as she walked inside. He turned and walked down toward his house, thinking about the date. Who would have ever figured that he and Kim would hook up, but he was glad that they had. These past few days had been the best of his life and he was glad that things had worked out between Kim and himself and had not taken a turn for the worse like he had previously thought, though there was still that chance. He glanced up as he rounded the corner and walked up to his porch. With a small sigh and smile, he opened the door and walked inside, feeling as if he were walking on air.

The next morning came too slow, yet too early at the same time for Kim. She didn't really feel like going to school, but she did want to see her friends - and boyfriend.
Boyfriend. That word felt very awkward when used to describe her relationship with Ron. For so long it was 'best friend' and sometimes even 'sidekick', but now 'boyfriend' had to be added to her description of him.
Rolling over, Kim turned off her alarm before slowly stretching out and making her way out of her bed. A huge yawn escaped past her lips as she walked into her bathroom to get ready for the day ahead of her. Glancing into the mirror, she saw her reflection staring back at her. Despite the fact that her hair was sticking out in various places, Kim couldn't help but smile . . . something she'd been doing a lot in the past few days.
"Kimmie! Are you coming down to breakfast sometime today?" her mother's voice called from downstairs.
"Just a sec!" Kim called back down. Grabbing her hairbrush from the side of the sink, she set to work smoothing some of the frizz out of her hair. It didn't take long, but as she continued to look in the mirror, she decided that she wanted to try something a bit different with it. She first thought of pulling it into a pony tail, but even that didn't sound good. Rumaging through the cuboard below her sink, she spied a curling iron that she hadn't used in forever. With a small smile on her face, she plugged the device in and waited for it to warm up.
"Kimmie!" her mother's voice scolded from downstairs.
"Hold on!" Kim called back down as she set to work on her hair, curling various strands near her face. She was suprised at how her hair took to the curls, and soon her red hair held many little spirals in it. Smiling in satisfaction, she finished getting ready before finally heading downstairs to get some breakfast.
"Wow Kimmie." Mr. Possible remarked as she walked into the kitchen.
"How do I look?" Kim asked.
"Like a curly freak." Tim commented from at the table.
"Oh nobody asked you." Kim retorted a bit angrily just as her mother walked into the kitchen. "Mom, how do you think it looks?"
"Very nice." her mother replied as she moved a strand of spirally hair out of her face. "Now come eat some breakfast before you're late for school."
Kim nodded as she sat down at the kitchen table and glanced down at her plate full of pancakes. Hungrily she poured syrup over them and ate them quickly, not wanting to be late for school. When she finished, she grabbed her empty plate and put it into the sink before grabbing her backpack and hurrying out the door. "Bye mom, bye dad!" she called to her parents just before shutting the door behind her. As she glanced out in front of her, she jumped a little in surprise when she saw Ron standing a few feet in front of her.
"Sorry, didn't mean to scare ya KP." Ron commented as she walked off the porch and up to Ron.
Kim lightly punched him in the shoulder. "You're not sorry." she tried to say sternly, but she couldn't seem to stay mad long enough to. She ended up smiling at his apologetic face, knowing that she would probably never be able to be mad at him for too long.
Ron's face suddenly contoured into a smile. "Your hair is so . . . curly." he pointed out.
"What do you think?" Kim asked.
"Looks like you had those hair curler things in your hair for too long." Ron teased.
"You - you don't like it?" Kim asked as her face fell.
"Th-that's not what I meant!" Ron exclaimed. "I like it . . . I-I was just kidding!"
Kim's hurt expression suddenly twisted into a mischievious smile. "I know you were."
"A ha. Very funny KP." Ron replied, not amused.
"So Stoppable, where do you get this idea of startling me this early in the morning?" she asked with a small smile as she put her small hand into his.
"Not my fault if I scared you." Ron replied. "I always wait for you here."
Kim rolled her eyes but continued to smile as she and Ron made their way toward the high school, ready to face the day together.

The first time Kim and Ron had walked into their high school as boyfriend and girlfriend had been awkward to say the least. Everyone knew that they were a couple now and wasted no time in either congradulating them or teasing them; although none dared to openly say anything negative about the couple . . . no one was willing to risk Kim's wrath.
As the two walked down the hall near their lockers, they were immediately greeted by Felix Renton. "Hey Ron!" he called as he wheeled his way up next to them. "Hey Kim, nice hair."
"Thanks." Kim replied as she brushed a piece of spirally hair out of her face.
"So, how was the date?" Felix asked, his eyebrow raised.
"Date? What date? How did you know we went on a date?" Ron asked quickly.
"Ron man, everyone knows about your date." Felix replied.
"But how?" Ron asked, wanting to know.
"It doesn't matter Ron." Kim pipped in. "Besides, almost every couple was at that movie . . . someone was bound to see us."
"And you know how quickly word gets around this school." Felix added. Ron sighed . . . so much for their private lives being private.
"Oh don't worry about it Ron." Kim told him as the three made their way over to Kim's locker. With her hand still inside Ron's, she used her other hand to open her locker. As soon as it was open, Wade appeared on the monitor inside. "Hey Wade, what's the sitch?"
"Everything's been pretty quiet since you took out Drakken." Wade replied. "Just wanted to know how your date went." As he said this, he raised his eyebrow and grinned at her.
"Oh come on, even Wade knows?" Ron exclaimed. "Man!"
Kim turned to him. "What? Are you ashamed that we're going out?"
Ron shook his head. "No! But there are some things that every person on the planet doesn't need to know about."
Kim looked straight into his brown eyes. He had matured very fast . . . faster than Kim thought was possible. Between those days that she had dated Erik to the time she began dating Ron, his whole demenor changed . . . no longer was he the bumbling buffoon - although at times he still acted like it - but now he had become the mature guy Kim had known resided within him all along.
"By the way Kim, I like the hair." Wade commented before disappearing off the monitor in her locker. Rolling her eyes, she grabbed some books out of her locker before closing the small, metal door. The three teenagers turned away from Kim's locker and walked down the hall, a few people commenting on Kim's hair or giving Ron a pat on the back while others however just turned away from the couple and some even snickered.
Felix glanced up at the couple. "So, you two going on another big date tonight or are you going to Bueno Nacho?"
"Well I promised Ron that since he took me to that movie last night, we'd go to Bueno Nacho . . . my treat." Kim replied, looking down at Felix.
"Cool. Uh, mind if I tag along?" Felix asked.
"Not at all!" Kim replied. A sudden bell rang, warning students to get to their classes before they were late.
"See you guys!" Felix called as he wheeled off into another direction, leaving the couple to walk toward their first class together.
