Just want to know what everyone's opinion is with crossover fics that occasionally come up. (ex. KP and Batman) Are you interested in these types of fics or more for the original story stuff? How about Crossover fics where Kim and Ron become the characters in the other gene (Ron as Batman, Kim as, um someone). Personally I like some of these, if done correctly. It also can explain why a bunch of my stories are essentially KP and something else combined to one (My Kim vs. The Car story). What does everyone else think?  |

I really like Crossover Fics. In fact my favorite story(KPXSpider-Man) is a crossover.

Generally, I don't mind them (You'd better say that, given what you've got planned. - Ed. You hush...).
Specifically, I prefer a crossover that merges the characters from two "universes" to tell a story. Two good examples of this are G-Go's "The Simian Odyssey" (Kim Possible, Indiana Jones) and MrDrP's "Kim Possible: The Next Generation" (Kim Possible, Star Trek TNG). Also, ClassicCowboy's "Kimmatrix" trilogy, and his Evangelion/Transformers crossover (which is simply brilliant, in concept if nothing else), are good examples as well.
I don't much care for crossovers that attempt to tell the story of one universe using characters from another. This can work, but more often than not you simply have Batman By Another Name... at which point you might as well have used Bruce Wayne and been done with it.
Either way, it all depends on the story.

That's pretty much my view on them, molding the two universes together. I did it Twice so far (3 stories, one's a sequel) and the reviews I've gotten were amazing. Like people come out of the wood work for those!
The actual underlying aspect of this is also for me to see if I should continue with these crossovers. (really good one came to mind yesterday) Especially since my original story isn't doing so well (writing wise and popularity wise)

i guess i like them i plan on writing a crossover between my 2 favorite shows, Yu-gi-oh and Kim Possible. but only after i finsh my story i'm working on now.

I'm generally always interested in reading a good crossover; the character interaction is generally interesting, especially when the two "universes" being crossed together are rather different and the characters follow their universe's rules. EX: Kim Possible 's villains remain largely more amusing than evil while the other universe's villains are... whatever they may be.

Personally I like crossovers (of course, I'm writing one myself so I'd better say that). I like to see the interaction between chars...their similarities and differences, etc.

Well I once read a KP/Star Trek crossover. It was werid, Kim was turned into a Borge and it just got really weird and confuseing. Personally I think if you wanna make it work you should have the 2 exists in a similar world.

I guess I'm the only one here that has never really cared for them. I honestly prefer the more original stuff--or stuff that sticks to just the one show. They quite scare me... and I have just never been interested in reading any of them. I guess I find the idea rather lame.
Mind you, this is a general rule, and I do have a few exceptions that I read.
But it takes a lot to get me to read a cross-over.

I like them. Not every crossover works, but I read some cool stories.
Once I wrote a KP/Fairly Oddparents/The Big Levowski Crossover and I also wrote one with FOP/Hellboy. (Both are only available in Nacospeak, sorry).
I also have the idea for crossovers between KP/Scrubs and KP/Sin City, plus a multicrossover in which an event happens that influences the different "universes" of my favourite series, movies and books ;D

guess it depends on if it is a fusion where Kim and Ron are in still in their world yet have abilities of the other story. A crossover is where characters of both universes are working together. Least that is my interpretation. I always have enjoyed both as long as the characters are canon yet have their new abilities or powers. I am playing around with one now. Some of the older fans here should know of this one. Kim and Ron/six million dollar man-bionic woman. Just playing with it now. Have to see how it plays out.

I specialize in Crossovers especially KP/Star Wars types of stories yet I a;ways try to blend both universes into one, i.e. the events of one occured either in the past or future of the other, or at the same time.

Blending the Universes together seem to be more interesting to me, where its still Ron and Kim that we know and love, but now dealing with a entirely new set of obsticals.
The Crossover that I just thought of was between Kim Possible and Get Smart (comedy spy tv show) Using all of Agent 86's useful gadgets like the phone shoe. ;D It should be real good when I have a storyline down.

I've written a few chapters of my story, which is a Kingdom Hearts/Kim Possible cross-over.

I got the complete season for Xmas, and the two would work so well together (especially since some remarks Max Smart Makes are used in KP) I already have one scene planed out for a demo: Drakken:Well Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable, Even with help from Agent 86 you cannot stop us now! Max:Would you believe that at this very moment the US Coastgaurd is closing in on this lair with 7 Ships. Kim: Yeah, you're so done Drakken! Drakken: I find that hard to believe Max: Would you believe 6? Kim and Ron look at Agent 86 with complete shock Drakken: No, no I wouldn't Max: Would you believe two cops in a Row boat? Like I said, no real storyline other than All of Kim's villans are suckered into Joining KAOS, and to fight a large orginization Kim has to go to CONTROL and work with Agent 86 and Agent 99, and on occasion Agent Fang (dog). |

Anyway yes I support crossover/fusions after all it was ClassicCowboy who inspired me to start writing. Leaving his Gundam fic only at the start made me decide to actually write on that will finish.
So far I've got about two fusions myself and I plan on writing more. I like the genre what can I say.

I like crossover but i hardly fits into Kp.
As exapmle, Kp and FF does not fit well. Oneis saving the world by using powers like limit break? What sort of Limit break could Kp possily posses (I can se ron but not KP)
KP with winnie the pooh? Forget about it
Kp with Yu-gi-oh? Do not even start. Kp has no gaming power at all
Kp with megaman X. Could be since both involves sceince but no match against Zero
Kp with sonic is not even possible. I do admit Kp once posssed Sonic's shoe in Queen Bebe but that story is really sucks. First of all. If Kp is moving at that speed, she would turn to crisp. Imagine a meteor entering the earth atmos[here and it is not as fast as Kp either
KP with crayou shin chan. That will be like Kimo the clown
Kp with Titans? No superpower for Kp
ironically Kp will do very well with Sky High. The lastest movie from Disney. I had to say Shego's power is in the movie. A boy can create flames at his hand. However, the story is worse than the fish smell left in the hot cars for weeks
