What's The Kepler Project? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johannes_KeplerIt's a reference to Johannes Kepler, (12/27/1571 to 11/15/1630), a 16th-century Nacospeak mathematician who is widely regarded as the father of modern astronomy. His landmark work, "The laws of Planetary Motion," represents the first time in history in which the fields of astronomy and astrology diverged to form separate disciplines, clearly dividing science from mythology. He is credited with being the first to determine that the planets traveled in elliptical orbits around the sun, and that the motion of each planet traced out equal areas in equal time. He was also one of the world's first science fiction writers with his book "Somnium" (The Dream). Published posthumously in 1634, it represented his speculations on how futuristic humans might navigate through space in "ships with sails adapted to the heavens," as he put it.

Sorry 'bout the double post, but a strange thought just occurred to me... Does anyone think the tweebs' "Car Monkey" remark might be a veiled reference to these advertisements: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8avOiTUcD4YMaybe coincidence... maybe not... you be the judge.

I'm starting to think they took this little blurbs at the ending, it's almost like Jake Long. Well, I guess if you design two shows there will be some similarities... I still love this ep though. Today I watched it before "Year of the Jake" came on.

Wow, that's really cool. It makes sense. Thanks to KP, I learn something knew everyday. I'm starting to think they took this little blurbs at the ending, it's almost like Jake Long. Well, I guess if you design two shows there will be some similarities... I still love this ep though. Today I watched it before "Year of the Jake" came on. I did the same thing. LOL. But, yeah, the blurbs are like ADJL in a way. Who doesn't love the "guess what the shark is gonna puke up!" one. Although, Emperor's New School does it and so does The Replacements. Wow... all the animated shows do it. I thought I was gonna hate the tag at the end, but it's an extra thirty seconds to a KP episode. What more could I want? I mean, it extends my tapes to instead holding 16 episodes per 6 hour tape, to 15 episodes per 6 hour tape. I don't care, because it's KP.

The tags is also an opportunity for characters to be out of character once in a while.

This eppie is a great stand-alone story that I'm sure will rank WAY up there on most peoples' faves for a long time to come. A lot of you guys know me as being somewhat of a car nut, and I couldn't resist doing a little 'picking apart' of the now world famous Roth SL Coupe that Dad gave to Kimmie. First, I'd like to show you what I think actually contributed to the 2 designs of the 'Sloth' that we see in this one episode. The first in'car'nation after Jim & Tim do a little tweaking to the "Piece of...History" This model of car, I would like to think, was inspired by a little car that was produced by the Kaiser Steel Corporation from 1951 to 1954, with very few modifications over the years. Unfortunately, the old "Henry J" as it was called after the owner of the company, Henry J. Kaiser, didn't sell very well. One of the major drawbacks of the car was in early production years, there was no trunk area at all. Only after dismal sales numbers did the company pick up on this design flaw, but it was too late to implement the change, as the public just didn't buy the 'no trunk' concept, and the car ceased production in late 1953. I managed to find a couple of pics for examples, and find it kind of spooky that this particular car was even painted the same color. Coincidence? HMMM... Now this version, as we know, doesn't last long in the eppie, because the Tweebs 'Trick out' the Sloth after Kim gets her "Doors blown off" to look like this... I can hardly believe that's the same car that we saw previously, but it just shows me how determined the Tweebs are after being so embarrassed by Motor Ed and the KeplerMobile. Talk about an upgrade, too! Acheiving a high orbit around the planet in about 2.2 seconds? Wow! I'll do Ed's air guitar for him for this little acheivement. Good thing the window wasn't rolled down there. Nice car, and I look forward to seeing a lot more of it in future eppies. Like bacteria. Shego... Yeah, Shego in the ep. I'm really surprised noone has drawn the conclusion that Eddie has dressed her up as the quintissential "Jersey Girl". Ed IS from Jersey, and this outfit is obviously what he considers to be the perfect wardrobe change for his 'Dream Girl' with the Green MAGIC! Fran Drescher in the role of The Nanny springs to mind, and I wonder if SHE was in any way a model for the 'Shego Disguise'... I love the pants, too! And the old Shego ATTITUDE just seems to fit here SO well... Somebody mentioned it was too bad there wasn't a full body shot of Shego in that get-up... there was, but it's not a very good shot. She's just blasting Ed after they both fell in the river. And what's this mention of "Wet Shego" fans??? Whuzzat? This was a great eppie to me, lots of action, but a bit of a re-hash with disabling the Kepler as Kimmie had to do to Drakken's weather machine. Is that shark getting closer in the writing, or what??? RD

Awww, no one mentioned that majorly awesome line: "Ah, I wasn't even helping, how did this happen?" I thought that was hilarious! Guess that makes me the only upper-middle-class senior without a car...oh well, at least my mom can't complain that I sit at home and watch KP way too much!

"Car Alarm" is a great episode. I loved every minute of it. Is it just me or is Kim getting funnier? Her attempt to fix the Pink Sloth was hilarious, as was the bit with the hair gel. Ron successfully using the Puppy Dog Pout on Kim? Priceless. Since Motor Ed is a Jersey guy, him getting Shego to dress like that is not surprising to me. What does surprise me is that she actually wore it. Seriously. I haven't seen anyone dressed like that around here, at least not within the past 10-15 years or so. Fran Drescher in the role of The Nanny springs to mind, and I wonder if SHE was in any way a model for the 'Shego Disguise'... I love the pants, too! Fran Fine (The Nanny) was from Flushing, Queens in NY, so she wasn't a Jersey Girl. Shego's outfit reminded me more of Peggy Bundy in "Married... with Children". She's not a Jersey Girl either (she's from Chicago) but Shego's big hair and loud clothes were more Peggy-ish to me. Especially the pants. ETA one more thing: Doesn't the new Pink Sloth remind anyone of the Lightcyles in Tron?

I think you are right. Kim is getting funnier. I think as Barkin said almost 5 years ago in "Sink or Swin," "Stoppable's getting to you," that prophecy finally was fulfilled. The Ron Man got to her. Fran Fine was hilarious. Too bad about her voice. I liked that show but it was like, her voice killed it.

Wasnt that what ron was a pink sloth in animology? I have not seen that episode yet. Yep. In the episode Animal Attraction, season, premiered 4 years ago on January 10, 2003, the Animology test results gave Kim a blue fox, Ron a pink sloth, and other characters other color and animals, but as they are other characters, no one cares about them.

Am I the only one who sees' the Sloth as a Purple Car? That is nowhere near Pink, Purple works better for Kim anyway, most of her merchandise has purple accents in it, so a purple car goes well.

ETA one more thing: Doesn't the new Pink Sloth remind anyone of the Lightcyles in Tron? Yep. Definitely futuristic look there. And I think the color is purple, not pink. I'm sorry, but that's not any shade of pink I ever seen. After all, it's just a name to name it after Ron's animilogy animal, nothing more. So what if it isn't pink.
