His parents are bad parents. End of story. They don't pay attention to him. Agreed. They have no idea about what's going on in his life. PERIOD. I've even used this as a gag in a fanfic. I have Kim and Ron get married, with no mention of the Stoppable clan being there, and I plan to turn it into a running gag that they don't know Ron married Kim. The next fic will find Ron moving out and his family COMPLETELY out of the loop, in a Mama Cosma type situation, to return later.

I hate them too much.

Well, I only saw Ron's parents in One episode, and that was the one with the enhanced muscle thing >.o The only conclusion i made, was whoever does the Voice Acting for Ron's dad is SUPER boring o.o;
And to be honest, Kim was being plenty herself. She was giving Ron subtle hints, then plain hints, then started telling him blatant facts about what he was doing to himself, and at one point she even whips out the 'We Have to Talk' Line in this episode.. What some of you guys are saying about Kim Not caring just isn't true.

Yeah, trust me Ron would have lost weight eventually. Especially if kim stopped being physical with him like Hugging, Kissing, and etc.

At least they don't make junk food out to be the source of unholyness. I'm refering to Barkin's speach at the beginning about how it's ok every now and then. Usually episodes like this make it seem that having junk food even on occasion is bad.

What some of you guys are saying about Kim Not caring just isn't true. Elliot Gould voices Ron's dad. He was married to Barbra Streisand at one time. Yeah, I dunno why everyone is saying that Kim doesn't care.

Oh, I forgot one part I waited for the whole time in the episode. Where Kim finally said "What you're doing isn't healthy for you. And for us." I was relieved. First. Because then she just went away and that was it. There weren't real consequences, no serious talk about his, Kim's and their situation in general, there was just this short part. I mean, would you just sit there watching how your boyfriend becomes...ok, gains so much weight that he for sure has tripled his old weight in this short time and, what is a little bit awkward, gets taller and taller? In my opinion, it wasn't enough she said and what she did, well, she didn't do a thing. I mean, come on, we know Ron isn't the fastest if it comes to...anything someone says. And is easily distracted. He noticed that Yori likes him after, yes, a kiss. Something physical. Kim said that he had to stop this "eating", which would be obvious enough for him, but there was also this Josh...JOSH! And Kim was on his side. Well, never mind, I didn't really like this episode.
Oh, what I forgot, too: Bonnie looked fantastic.

Why did that kid have to be named JOSH?
Wait! Maybe Josh Mankey has a deep, dark secret!

I finally watch this episode ( sorry but Disney Brazil donĀ“t broadcasting KP season 4 yet and I have to borrow from a friend) Elliot Gould is that actor in Ocean Eleven and Twelve? I really like Ron in the end when he "Breaking the fourth wall" just like Ned Bigby or Malcolm

Why did that kid have to be named JOSH? Wait! Maybe Josh Mankey has a deep, dark secret! Well, there are several possibilities. 1. Coincidence. 2. Josh M. has an illigitimate child, Josh Jr. 3. Josh M. was actually not a teenager but a very young-looking cop who went undercover to bust drugs and now is probably being punished for dating students during this and also happens to have a legitimate child, Josh Jr. 4. That was the actual and true age of Josh M. and he had merely been fooling around with that arcade thing from Big during the time we knew him. 5. Josh M. helped deliver a baby when he was in Cub Scouts, and then the grateful mother named her child after him. 6. The writers are trying to pass on a secret message to us--Josh has been abducted, and the writers need our help to save him!

I just realized something else - the most disliked episode of all time also features Middleton Mini Golf!

I'm with the coincidence theory. When I first saw the ep., I noticed the kid's name, but didn't see the connection between him and Mankey. As for the mini-golf course link, I think we should see that as an area of prophecy. Any episode having to do with mini-golf at all, we may probably take as a bad sign.

Why did that kid have to be named JOSH? Wait! Maybe Josh Mankey has a deep, dark secret! Um, 'cause that's his name. Josh comes to us from the Make A Wish Foundation. His wish was to be a character on the show -- and there he is. This episode is hereby certified 100% Mankey-free.
