I, for one, was not bothered by Kim's decision to go on the mission alone while Ron stayed behind for the game.
Kim clearly felt confident enough to go after the bad guys on her own, especially with her amped-up supersuit. Given her track record against Drakken and Shego, that wasn't an unreasonable assumption. At the start of S4 Kim is at the top of her game while her foes are rusty after stints in prison. Had Kim known a ten foot tall alien was going to be present, I suspect she'd have taken a different approach to the mission.
Kim is clearly committed to seeing Ron succeed on his own. She knows that he's now an important member of the football team; indeed, as unlikely as it is, he's become the Mad Dogs' playmaker. So, rather than take him on a mission where she doesn't know he'll be needed, she wanted him to stay on the field where he could once again help his teammates by engaging in some footbal heroics. That he gets to enjoy the limelight is a bonus. It's interesting that Kim cheering Ron means so much to him and that she so enjoys cheering him on. Talk about a long distance travelled since Bueno Nacho!
Ron could have objected and insisted on accompanying Kim, but that would have shown a lack of confidence in her mission judgement. Since it was clearly important to her that he stay on the field, that's what he did. When the situation changed and Ron learned that Kim might be in danger, he showed how quickly he could shift into mission mode. He and the tweebs lost no time in devising the Pluto gambit to distract Warmonga.
In short, no big here.

It is no big. They were so sweet in that scene. The looks they gave each other. The sweet touch of the face and the almost kiss. Ahh so brilliant. So canon. Beautiful. And Ron being worried something happened to Kim.

When the situation changed and Ron learned that Kim might be in danger, he showed how quickly he could shift into mission mode. He and the tweebs lost no time in devising the Pluto gambit to distract Warmonga. In short, no big here. That was very well said. I totally agree. Plus, the fact that Ron wasn't there in the battlefield of the mission and was over playing with the pigskin whilst Kim was getting her, pardonnez my language, ass kicked by a ten foot tall Alien with a bad attitude kinda amped up the tension. I know it did for me. I mean, seeing Ron's look on his face when Wade says, "It wasn't Kim." It was one of those priceless, 'Oh no.' faces. It was perfect. I doubt the episode would have been as great in my eyes if Ron was there. He would have fainted when he saw Warmonga, I'm sure. But, the fact that they had commitments to whatever they had commitments too and Kim wanted Ron to stay and fight the football fight, made the episode. I guess in a weird way, Kim was willing to get her ass kicked so that Ron could do what he had to do. What I loved is how both Kim and Shego both got their asses handed to them by Warmonga, which lead Shego to calling Wade on the Kimmunicator to tell them something we may never find out (I would love to find out that communique, by the way), and which lead to Kim getting saved. The episode also proves that while Kim is a dam n good at saving the world, fighting, and all that other stuff, but there is safety in numbers. Ron being there may have saved Kim from any injury (Warmonga did strike her and I know I let out a noise of shock), but then again, I like how the episode turned out. Probably why Kim has a team, instead of just being one random girl who saves the world without help, like all the superheroes of yesteryear.

Thank you for getting that! I mean, seriously, I really wanted to keep playing but I ain't about to let KP go off on her own if she wants my help. And let me tell you, when she makes up her mind bout something like she wants to be alone, ain't worth trying to change it. Don't think I wasn't a little worried though.
And I've seen things WAY freakier then Warmonga... so don't go telling everyone how I would of fainted.

She was a redhead as younger woman. And believe that she ain't changing her mind about stuff. And I believe you were worried. The expression on your face said enough. I don't think you would have fainted. You don't seem the fainting type. It would be cool if Kim woke up a la the waking up the sleeping Princess thing. Yes, kissing! Yay!

Hello? [points to previous comment in this thread] Maybe romance is still too queasy for Wade at this time. You saw his expression during that K/R moment. He might have been thinking "Ew... are they going to kiss? On the lips!?" like any other pre-hormone boy.

To him Kim and Ron kissing, is like his sister and brother kissing.

Okay, quote of the epi.: "Whoa, someone's been drinking their milk." -Shego first seeing Warmonga. I loved this episode! The credits with Motor Ed had me cracking up. I think both the plot and sub-plot tried to hold the same thing. Jealousy. Ron was distressed, then jealous of the Pep Pups(or Puppies, whatever) when they replaced him and Shego was the same way with Warmonga when she found out she was going to be replaced as a sidekick. I don't 'go' with the whole Kigo thing, eck. So this show reminded me of the whole classic villian thing(or G-rated-ness). You know, no killing. Remember in... The Big Job, how they stop fighting to talk about how there was no parking then continue. It was like that. A lot of this was also Shego trying to regain her pride. And yeah, just once she wants to win Kim Possible, one on one, with no help. On other notes, it was great to see Drakken out of prison! I have a feeling things will still be far from normal though. Oh and Wade in the flesh! He's been doing that a lot lately, hasn't he? Expanding his horizons maybe...

Yes, after repeated viewings of all six widely available episodes, I've decided this one is my favorite, followed by Car Alarm and Ill-suited.

Yeah, it's a great episode, ALY. I mean, the viewers are left with a cliffhanger. In a way.
We don't know what will happen with the Drakken/Shego relationship.
It's funny that we don't exactly know. I like not knowing.

I'm not concerned much about Drakken and Shego, as I am concenrend about how will Warmonga react when she finds out there was no 'Great Blue' on Pluto!!! Undoubtedly it's gonna leave her feeling Mucho Bitter!

Well after six episodes, I still think "Trading Faces" takes top rank, following by "Car Alarm", then "Cupid Effect". "MD&A" takes fourth place on my list. I like to laugh, and I was laughing often with the top three I chosen than with "MD&A". (shrug)

I dont think it's like that i just feel like he's too young. Remember this episode was Before he fell for Monique. In addition, we can't forget that when Wade saw Kim and Ron lock lips in "Emotion Sickness", he spat out his soda and fainted in shock. Another indication that Wade isn't quite used to all that making out and stuff just yet, because he's still not quite old enough to understand it.

How things change. Around Valentine's day, season 3, Wade was spit-taking Kim kissing Ron under moodulator influence. A year later, he's using his own cupid ray on Monique. Puberty is raising its head, folks.
I'd mark this kiss interruptions at the football game as nothing more than "Save the world now, kiss later," which is entirely reasonable. In the "Cupid Effect," Kim and Ron interrupted themselves to listen to the fuss at the next table.
This is probably a running gag on us. Kim and Ron aren't even objecting to the interruptions— which by the way suggests they're kissing plenty while we're not watching.
