OVERALL RS.NET MATHTER AND VERVENT REVIEW: 3.78/5Ahh, Mathter and Vervent. The epithode with a lithp. ;D When Barkin starts an assignment to get his students to write about their own personal heroes in life, Ron is stuck since he's limited on his choices. He can't interview the hero he's dating, Kim already took her dad (his next choice), Kim's mom's out of town, Ron's mother swore off school projects, and Martin Smarty's schedule's booked (it's hard being a multi-billionare business mogul). And Ron can't fathom the idea of his dad, the actuary, being the subject of his paper. All seems lost for him until he gets the idea that Hego of Team Go would be perfect for his subject. Too bad that Hego (as well as Kim and Ron) have to deal with probably one of the lamest villians I've ever seen in the KPverse, the Mathter. Let me lay this on the table right now, I was very "bleh" on this episode. Had some good going on here, but a lot that was going wrong for this episode. Okay, sure, we get to see more (actually 1/4) of Team Go. Is it me, or is Hego getting smaller? Meh. Anywho, I know that there's always a running gag here when it comes to villains, but the Mathter takes it to a very dull and boring extreme. I mean, Frugal Lucre was more of a threat than this guy. The numbers and expressions that he used against our heroes were very lackluster and seemed more towards injuring them like one would throw a rock at another person. ANYONE could do it! And to top it all there was a case of deus ex machina (the god in the machine) going on here. If you have no idea as to what I'm talking about, click on the url to get a genral idea. Anyway, I'm glad that Mr. Stoppable was used to be an icon for Ron's ideal hero, but I was more impressed by what he did off camera (volunteer firefighter, search and rescue member, actuary) than the fact that he had some secret super power. Ugh! Sorry folks, but to litterally show that your skill and profession is an actual superpower really hits a low mark in my book. Well, as you can see, I'm NOT a fan of the whole god in the machine deal. I find it as a cheap gimmick that should never be used in a story, even for a kid's show. I may seem cruel in this, but I'm rather glad that Mr. Stoppable is getting more airtime this season. I've grown tired of the Possibles overshadowing the Stoppables in this case. But the amount of negative vibes from this episode just really hurt it here for me. So, I'm going to be very generous in my score on this one. If there were more unnecessary circumstances (some examples: more annoying jokes/puns, unresolved plot, etc.), the score would be much lower that this. My Review Score: 3/5

The Good - OOT in a good way- not taking itself too seriously - Ron's disconnect with his parents is shown. - Many laughable moments - Cute Hug (what if Kim exploded?) - Mr.Barkin's You're Dad rocks! line - Ron trying to act cool in the bubble, and Kim's line about it. - Good animation!!!! - "the cape, while utterly embarressing..." I luv the way he said it, lol
The Bad - Math Battle...seriously?.... - Villian was almost too lame- even if it was intentional - Math puns went on far too long - I'm just not a big Mr. Stoppable fan...sorry
Grade: C-

Just finished it, and after hearing many math puns I was with Kim in wanting make an addition, wait, I'm not going there. Anyway, I loved Barkin's "Your dad rocks!" line. Mr. Stoppable being chased by the police haha. I guess this was the episode where he goes on a mission, I kept thinking it was "Odds Man In".
And Ron getting out of the bubble, "Oh yeah yeah, that's nice". So sweet.
Whoops, almost forgot. the scene where they were tossing numbers at Kim, wouldn't it of been something if they tossed the number 65 and Kim just kicks it right back at them?

I love when kim was like "Dont hurt my boyfriend" to the mathter. Something like that anyway.

Nice episode, but clearly not one of the best. The Mather is just too lame, but his "theme music" is pretty cool. Oh, and I have noticed that during the final battle Kim was animated very well (she looked CG).

One thing I noticed was when Kim did that hand stand kick thing towards the end in the infinity dome- it seemed unecessary. She could have just stayed on her own two feet and punched out the nerd henchmen and been on her merry way...
...come on now Kim- let's not be silly.

Well, she didn't have to do a double-twisting backflip to get to the Transportulator in Drakken's lair in "Hidden Talent," either. Most people would have just turned around and walked over to the table. ;D

Ron's dad doing anything to get his son's attention was heartwarming, and seeing Kim help Ron roll through the school was adorable! Ron was a bit of a jerk at times to his dad, but he came through in the end. I'm not sure what I think of his dad now having magic math powers, but I like that Barkin though it was awesome. The Mathter was a fun, wacky villian. This was a really funny epsiode with some fairly heavy drama considering how goofy the premise is. Hego dancing in his boxers, then fighting crime in them ruled, too. 4/5 ep.
