See this is what I get for having company over. Get destracted by to good times and such, and you miss out on a clearly great episode! Gah! Curse my bad luck.
Well, fate comes a callin' to bring all the members of Team go back together. Yes even one time member turned bad-gal Shego. And fate turns out to be a villainess named Electroinique who is armed with, of all things, the Attitudinator and uses it to turn the members of Team Go into opposite selves. Yep, Team Go is now her evil lackeys...Wait a sec. If Shego's already evil, then....Oh, SNAP! The infamous plasma-wielding green gal gets a positive perk up as she now ends up at Kim and Ron's school as a teacher and is rather enjoying herself as a good gal once again. Freaky for sure. *shiver* Let's just hope that Kim, Ron, and Shego happen to notice that Team Go is wracking havoc on Go City.
When I first saw the promos on DC.com, saying that I was freaked out by Shego's behavior was an understatement. I thought for sure that she might have been under some kind of mind-control or something. But, we're actually given a chance to see what she's like if she lived her life as a good person. And you know, after awhile, even I began to enjoy having her as a good person. And I began to enjoy those girlfriend moments that she had with Kim. It seemed as if they were acting like life-long friends, heck maybe even as sisters. I was very impressed by this interaction. So much so that by the end of the episode I was rather disappointed by what became of her at the very end. I will say this, Ron is prone to accidents, a lot of us are and you can't overdo a good thing when it came to Kim and shego's friendship in this episode. It was rather touching and sad at the episode's end that I felt sorry for what Shego did to those photos (she jumped when Drakken called her and she had to do something to make sure he didn't see those pics, K?). All in all, I did get a huge kick from Kim and Shego's relationship. Definately a lot (surely over a ton) of subtext for Kigo fans to look out for.
I've got a good feeling that this episode may start a lot of conflict over Shego's relationship with Kim. I say this because there were moments were Ron felt like when he was left out of the loop, and Kim and Shego were way too buddy-buddy for their own good. A lot of conflict of interests between Kim/Ron fans and Kigo fans. I look at it this way, if you find out you had a lot in common with someone you least expect, would you want to spend time with them? I'm sure I would, but Kim never actually dumped Ron on the spot. And besides, Kim had someone to spend time with and actually understood her. Keep in mind I'm typing this with no knowledge of the past comments (never did check up on these threads. But this episode was fantastic in just about every way. Hey, who didn't love the battles between Drakken and the pickle jar!
My Review Score: 5/5
