same here... slick... same here ;D I love Hana but she was the reason the kiss was so short. That would have been so much longer if hana did not interupt. Oh well it made for a cute scene where you can imagine Kim & Ron holding there child like that.

Yep but maybe TPTB did that because they wanted the longer more passionate kiss to be in the finale. That's what im hoping anyway.

If Ron proposes to Kim, I will either pass out, or scream at the top of my lungs, resulting in the arrival of several police cruisers at my front step ;D That is how much I want it to happen!

Well I hope to see this but even if we don't it does not mean it won't happen eventually just wont be on screen. I expect a big moment between Kim & Ron though. There was one in StD. So there has got to be one here.

That kiss is still awesome. It's def #2 right now behind the STD kiss. #3 would be the "Emotion Sickness" kiss. #4 would be the cheek kiss in "Ill Suited". #5 would be the cheek kiss in "The Big job" #6 would be the off screen kiss in "Mentor of our discontent" #7 would be the cheek kiss in "stop team go" Hopefully the finale will have another one.

TPTB did say that the finale will top STD, so just think of how big a moment would need to be to top that, and you've got a pretty good idea of what must be coming.

Meh, the kiss would've meant alot more if Ron actually came out of this looking better IMO, Hana did all the work while Ron was made to look like a jobber to his arch-foe in his most important episode. I still don't understand why a minor character was used as means to an end to a major (and arguably the most interesting) villain. TPTB did say that the finale will top STD, so just think of how big a moment would need to be to top that, and you've got a pretty good idea of what must be coming. First rule of show business, never believe your own hype. Nothing against TPTB, but I'll believe it when I see it.

My perspective of this episode has not change since I've seen it. Yet despite I know that this wouldn't make a difference in the fight, I just realized recently that Ron could have least been given the Lotus Blade since he was there at Yamanouchi. I mean, since he can wield the sword and use its powers, it would have given him a fighting chance. Yeah, yeah, I know that the whole episode was focus on Hana and that she was to save the day, etc., thus why TPTB couldn't have Ron wield the LB. Yet my realization just made me think that in the fight against Yono, Ron would have made some difference if he wielded the LB. In the end, Hana still would have done what she did, but it would have been cool (IMO) to see Ron fight Monkey Fist with the LB before going down.

I love the episode, but I *freaked out* when I saw Kim, Rufus & Sensei turned into stone.
The villains had no intention of letting Kim go free and I shudder thinking she coulda been left a statue forever. I can't rewatch that part of it just yet. I skip to the part where Kim is happy and alive again.

This episode had everything going for it. The timing of the humor and the drama worked perfectly in this episode. The beginning and middle of the episode led up perfectly to the climatic scenes at Yamanouchi. The battle there was executed superbly. It was so dramatic and well written that, for just a few moments, I thought that it would be the end of team Possible and the Yamanouchi school - the episode was that well written. I would compare this episode to a flawless diamond, perfect in every way - the perfect episode.
And then someone hit the diamond with a sludge hammer.
The episode that had everything going for it crashed when the final battle between Yono and Hana began. Admittedly, Hana dancing around to cause the Yono to sew his and Monty's defeat was cute, but it killed the drama and caused one of the best written scenes in the entire series to fall down in ruins. It even made me question why Kim Possible had to be on the Disney Channel and appeal to children.
After being hit by the brute force of the sludge hammer, the diamond was no longer perfect and flawless. However, it was not shattered either. On no! Yono! is still one of the better written episodes and is one of the best non D/S episodes in the series. The sinister portrayal of Monkey Fist and the sheer butt-kicking awesomeness of the Yono reminded me of Bueno Nacho when Drakken was more sinister and threating, a nice change of pace from all the episode where the villains are more comedic than evil.
After it was all said and done, you end up with a flawed diamond. It still has a good value, but it makes you wonder what it would have been like if it was perfect.

I'll take "flawed diamond". It was a great diamond. I may be biased though since it had the first full on lip kiss this season between Kim & Ron. My only complaint was Hana interupting them. ;D

Joy, I finally got a response to my review and it was by the writer himself. ;D Yep, that flawed diamond is definitely something to be prized, especially when the said diamond has a monkey who says "Word". I'll take "flawed diamond". It was a great diamond. I may be biased though since it had the first full on lip kiss this season between Kim & Ron. My only complaint was Hana interupting them. ;D My only complaint was the last fight scene, but the kissing being interrupted this season is something I've noticed too and was almost annoyed at. Then I realized it was a running gag, like the many references to Rappin' Drakken this season. ;D

You know, I just officially watched the episode - I'd seen it on YouTube, but that doesn't count. It's an odd episode. I mean... I don't blame the people who hate it. I watched it back to back with Odds Man Out... after watching the opening bit from Big Job. Sandwiched in between those two episodes, Yono is such a "straight" episode. Granted there are some laughs along the way, but I understand why people are calling it "dark". It's definitely more drama than comedy. Though that Flippees dance in the climax was pretty crazy. There was a bit in the pet shop that got cut where Ron peeks in a back room for clues and when he pulls his head out of the room, it's covered in animals (snakes, spiders, hamsters, etc.) - it was a funny sight gag that I'm sorry didn't make it into the final episode. I guess it's nice that the show can have such a range of tone, but if what you like about Kim Possible is the silliness of Clothes Minded or Big Job (which are two of my season four faves), then Yono is not for you. But if you like the drama getting kicked up a notch, then Yono is probably a good thing.
