From Hell. My favorite ghetto film.
"Hell, Netley...we are in Hell..." Ian Holm is great.

Gettysburg.
Talk about an epic film... The climactic scene with Picket's Charge was absolutely mesmerizing!

Gettysburg. Talk about an epic film... The climactic scene with Picket's Charge was absolutely mesmerizing! Chamberlain's charge down Little Round Top was my favorite. It's too bad Maxwell can't get financial backing to direct "The Last Full Measure," since I also really liked Gods and Generals. It's just a shame they cut out Antietam and the apparently creepy scene featuring John Wilkes Booth playing the title role in a Washington D.C. production of Macbeth, and looking right at Lincoln as he delivers his dagger soliloquy. Oh well, would have been nice.

I'll give you that. The "swinging-door" charge by Chamberlain's 20th Maine Regiment was a close second for me in terms of favorite scenes. There are very few moments in military history where one sees a maneuver that is as bold and audacious in its execution as it is textbook in its conception. Although I found very little to complain about overall, I was in fact rather disappointed that the film makers thoroughly ignored the intense combat that occurred on and around Culp's Hill, along the Union's northern flank. The fighting here was every bit as intense and savage as the action seen on Little Roundtop that day, yet this aspect of the battle was completely ignored. Even General Jeb Stuart's diversionary attack against this position on the morning of Day Three was only peripherally mentioned. For a film that prided itself on accurately telling the complete story of the battle, this was highly disappointing. Overall rating: 8/10

Back to the Future.
I would have watched the second part, too, but my sister didn't like it and wanted to stop. She has no taste.
