That apparently my friend thinks I'm unreliable and I put my online friends as a higher priority.
I won't deny that sometimes I'm lazy and procrastinate, but I never do it on purpose NOR do I enjoy it. I can't tell you how many times I look back and see the time I've wasted that could've been used for drawing and I feel so ashamed of myself. I've been feeling down a lot lately and I can't really say why, I just get so upset over such little things, and that's when I turn to my friends (online and offline) to make me feel better. But to have one of them accuse me of being unreliable and pass me off as someone who ENJOYS procrastinating and just mindlessly doing other things really pisses me off, to say the least.
It's bad enough that it feels like my family thinks that I enjoy not having a job, but I don't need that crap from my friends, or anyone else for that matter. I could understand that he probably feels this way because he hasn't seen much of what I'm doing for his commission, but I guess he didn't reconsider the fact that I'm taking the critiques he gave on the drawing I showed him before and am currently in the process of COMPLETELY redrawing the whole thing so it can look better and fit his criteria, not to mention working on three other commissions that I owe to other people and making sure THOSE come out just as good. But nah, that's too much to expect from me, I'm probably just wasting hours of my day just talking to my all important online friends that I love more than my real life friends.
Oh well, this is just more motivation to do really well on my drawings, but then again he'll probably just say "nice work" and just continue to talk crap behind my back and continue to think that I'm an unreliable child. Rarely does he do things to anger me this much, I consider him a real good friend, but times like this I just want to tell him off. But, being the afraid of conflict guy I am, I'll probably just sulk in a corner for a while.

My favorite birthday gift is missing. Two days ago was my birthday, and I got the PS3 game Fallout 3. Shortly after I opened it, I couldn't find it. It's still missing. I've looked everywhere for the past 2 days- the trash, the car, the house, etc... It's just disappeared.

This thread is like my second home, and no, I don't wonder what that says about me, lol. I just got the most bigoted, retarded piece of BS propaganda on my porch today. So offensive in so many ways. Here's the cover: Of course it's sponsored by a corporation, naturally. How can anyone even compare Obama to Hitler? That's just stupid- incredibly, morbidly stupid. (Warning, graphic picture) Hitler did this: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/a4/Holocaust123.JPGThe people who distribute this are morons and the people who run this organization are psychotic. Also, could they be ANY MORE HYPOCRITICAL? From the same people that called anyone who didn't support Bush unpatriotic, and now, within the first year of the Obama presidency they're comparing him to Hitler?!?!?! Disgusting. Also, as far as political ideology goes Hitler and Obama LITERALLY couldn't be any farther apart from one another according to the GOP's denunciation of Obama as socialist (which he is NOT, since he isn't in favor of Single Payer Health Care these days.) Here's the political spectrum: Socialists_________Democrats__________Republicans________Fascists If you're calling Obama Socialist, and Hitler was Fascist then what exactly is the connection? There couldn't be any less of a connection! It's embarrassing that working-class people buy into this.

I know a peeve of mine - when someone hijacks the "Pet Peeve" thread for a political rant. I just got the most bigoted, retarded piece of BS propaganda on my porch today. So offensive in so many ways. Y'know, the Left did these kinds of things about Bush back when he was president. Because, of course, the liberals are all about the little guy, not fat cats there. Given the difference between what Obama says publically and what his policies actually, anything he says should be Not to get into a debate about the roots of Third Reich economic philosophy, but "Nazi" does mean "National Socialist." (Socialism + Nationalism) I'm just sayin... Any more embarrassing than them buying into the belief that accepting a hedonist nanny state will cure all their ills? Mind you, there's a lot on the right I'm not a fan of. From America-worship to torture-loving... and don't get me started on Glen Beck. *shudder*

and don't get me started on Glen Beck. *shudder* Seconded. I don't care what the man has to say about the government, but my god, he's helping to create a fear of H1N1 vaccine. I swear, the bs I've heard rivals 9/11 conspiracy theories. While on that subject, Charlie effin' Sheen.

Well it IS the appropriate thread. People don't use this thread to talk about what a nice day they had. Oh, really? I'd like some examples. Hitler is pretty much the most hated man in history. Has Obama done anything that even closely resembles what Hitler did? Can you give specific examples?Even if there was liberal propaganda that was even remotely comparable- Does that make it okay for conservatives to use this strategy? Should we just be uncritical of our own party and point fingers back at each other and say, 'he started it' all the time. if liberals did this- fine, it's still wrong (though i am HIGHLY dubious that any current democrats have participated in smear campaigns of this magnitude as far as pure BS is concerned), but that doesn't make it a valid argument against this kind of propaganda. Wreckless use of freedom of speech, especially by big media corporations and phony pundits, is something to be concerned about. It's the same precedent that makes it illegal to yell 'fire' in a crowded building when there is no fire. Have democrats ever said anything about any republican that would put their life in danger? Because comparing the president to Hitler is a pretty serious accusation, and anyone that has even a drip of history in their brains knows it to be an utterly baseless argument. A lot of democrats are bad people, just like the republicans. They're called Blue Dog Democrats, and their in bed with the insurance industry just like the republicans. I'm not arguing this. As far as that clip you showed is concerned- I think the underlying joke is that using celebrities in political ads is stupid since they aren't in politics- so why should their opinion matter when they've done nothing to establish themselves as educated, or politically respectable people. i don't see it as liberal commentary or critique at all. Obama does go back on his word, but it's against his own base most of the time. Can you give some examples of things he's gone back on? Here's an example on how he's turned his back on his own party (just to show you that I do have criticisms toward his administration): - When he was a senator he was in favor of Single-Payer Health Care. - Didn't prosecute people that used torture and set a horrid precedent. - I don't believe he has closed Guatanamo Bay yet. - Potentially escalating troops in Afghanistan. - Supports Karzai who won an admittedly illegitimate election in Afghanistan. As for Hitler. He was fascist. Party names don't mean anything- it's the policies they carry out that define them. Hitler's political philosophies did not reflect the party's name: www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/GERfascist.htmSocialism is spreading the wealth so that nobody gets left behind (I know the concept probably makes your ears bleed when you hear it). It's basically Robin Hood politics. I'm not arguing in favor of it, just defining it right now. Hitler CERTAINLY did not do this. I just don't see the correlation republican pundits are trying to make. I'm just being honest. I view Socialism as compatible with Christianity. It's looking out for your fellow man, and making sure everybody gets a slice of the pie. My facts aren't precise, but I believe something like the top 5% of Americans (income-wise) have around 90% of the money. That just isn't necessary. It's obscene. People that are that wealthy do not generally work their way into that kind of life- it's usually inherited. It doesn't give a lot of people, especially those who are really deep in poverty, to have a chance. I tend to hear good things about Socialist Democracies such as the ones in Scandinavian countries. Interestingly enough, Denmark, statistically is the 'happiest place on earth'. I'm not saying it is without flaws. I'm sure there are shortcomings within the system, but it sounds pretty alright to me. Personally, however, I take republicans seriously who are not the neo-conservatives like the one's on Fox News. I would listen to Ron Paul's ideas, and respect anyone who held his position. It's the fringe republicans that bring guns to town hall meetings, and compare Obama to Hitler, or claim he is a muslim (stupid/racist) that freak me out. On that note, I'm glad you don't like Glenn Beck. He is absolutely bat sh*t crazy. Undeniably unstable. It gets funny after 3:15. He just loses it.

Oh, really? I'd like some examples. Hitler is pretty much the most hated man in history. Has Obama done anything that even closely resembles what Hitler did? Can you give specific examples?I wasn't saying the "Obama=Hitler" was warranted. I was simply pointing out that liberals/Democrats made similar accusations about Bush when he was President. With comments like that you're falling into the same trap Glenn Beck is - just as he assumes that anyone to the left of his views is a Communist bent on destroying American freedoms, you assume anyone who opposes Obama's health care plans (or similar public health systems) must be "in bed with the insurance industry." I know insurance companies can be a pain, but I oppose ObamaCare, and the insurance people haven't given me any money for that stance. Well, they did make some logical arguments (how would a public healthcare option be funded) and were able to cite sources for a number of their arguments (dailykos, the Congressional Budget Office, the Wall Street Journal, and so on.) I was just saying there are rich fat cats on the liberal side, too. So, we should just abandon Afghanistan and let the Taliban (or whoever) take over? Don't we have a responsibility toward the people there who suppport[ed] us? I don't think that site is exactly a rigourous scholarly analysis of Third Reich Germany... Ironically, Robin Hood himself took money from the greedy government (if the Disney movie is any accurate about the story...) And no, the concept does not make my ears bleed. See below. As a Catholic, I do believe people have a right to private property, but that said right isn't absolute. Interestingly, if you look at traditional Catholic social teaching (such as St. Thomas Aquinas and the pontiffs), you'll see that their arguments for private property are largely pragmatic - long story short, people will take better care of things if things are "theirs" than if everything is responsible for everything. Also, the problem with forcible state redistribution is that it takes away any reason to take initiative and work well - if you work hard and make a lot of money, it'll just be taken from you, so why not just be lazy. Ever wonder why Communism failed? Well, looking at wikipedia it looks like Denmark isn't quite socialist, but it does have a significant free-market; it's more "mixed" than socialist. Also, if public health care supposedly works in Scandanavia, why doesn't it work in Canada, Tennessee, or Maine? Gotta go now.

Related to the two above: How often Godwin's Law seems to be invoked. Everywhere. Anti-Smoking laws? Y'know who else did that? HITLER! Liberal Arts College? Y'know who else went to one of those? HITLER! Vegetarianism? Y'know who approved of that? HITLER! Wearing Pants? Y'know who else did that? HITLER! It's as if Hitler was bad solely because he was Adolf Hitler, and not because he started a brutal, hellish war and organized a Genocide of around 12 million people. Nope, those things aren't why the Nazis are evil. They were just evil cause they were Nazis. Heil Nazisteel!

My pet peeve: that during the rest of the year you can hire a Dwarf to do just about anything for next to nothing pay (They’re a dime a dozen) but they expect you to pay big bucks to come to your house on Christmas Eve in an Elf costume with a big bag of gifts from Santa, telling your kid how he got left behind when he fell out of the sleigh and what is he to do with this big bag.
I’ll bet’cha he’ll drink up a storm, eat till he pukes and try to pinch the butt’s of the ladies (dirty elf)
