FYI - I've updated my blog! The show I've been working on has been officially announced, so now I can officially say I'm a staff writer on Playhouse Disney's "Special Agent Oso"! As always, you can find more information at... www.swenlin.com After visting the site I noticed the KP section. I saw a bit of the page was 'jumbled'... Dunno if it is a problem on my end or what, but I took a pic and thought to post about it just in case.

Robot chicken is about the only real competition on that list.

Mr. Swenlin, let me start by saying it's a privilege and an honor and also just really really cool.
With that... John Kerry-crossed-with-teenage-fangirl opening out of the way... On to the actual post. Though I would like to note that I may need to come back and pester you with a ludicrous amount of animation writing-based questions once I finish reading The Complete Book of Scriptwriting... if you wouldn't mind, anyway.
*Ahem* Right... um... <_< >_>
Isn't Moral Orel another of those "adult" animated shows whose entire philosophy of humor seems to be tied up in how disgusting it can be and how many taboos it can break? I mean, I give South Park credit because it's also -witty-, but...
Yeah, KP ought to win that, or at least pull second to Robot Chicken (though admittedly I haven't heard of the first two...). But I'm a bit confused... is it KP as a whole against just Robot Chicken's Star Wars episode(s)/special?
A few other quick(?) things here, though:
Best Animated Video Game? I'm sorry, but isn't that sort of like giving out an award for who can kill themselves least painfully? I mean, I've heard that like -one- of the KP platformers was a pretty solid game, but otherwise no one is exactly singing the praises of video games based on animation. At best I think you have a category with very little actual competition, and at worst you're giving awards to the pile of junk whose odor is slightly less offensive than that of the other piles of junk.
And it's -really- early to nominate Chowder for an award for anything other than "Best New Animated Series" or something like that... also I'm not sure I'd classify it as "for children," either, but what do I know?
But mostly I'm just trying to get over the fact that El Tigre has the most nominations for an animated television series. EL. TIGRE. *Twitches*
Okay, I'm done. Power to KP for Best Animated Television Program! Shame it's not up for anything else, but I suppose if you're best all-around being the best in other particular areas would be kind of trivial (not that it has stopped anyone, but... *shrugs*).

Yes, well... we lost (again) - but the real honor is simply being nominated... (grumble grumble) You know what else is annoying? IMDB. Now don't get me wrong, I love the Internet Movie Data Base and I use it all the time, I just wish its credit updates were more accurate. 1 - It still says that I wrote OVERDUE which should actually be credited to the ever talented Mister JIM PETERSON (formerly of "The Trio"). I think the problem is that the credit gets lumped in with ROACHIE since they were both shorts in the same episode. It would be nice if we each had individual credits attached to our own story, or at the very least we should get shared credit for the entire episode. I know Jim, I like Jim and always feel guilty when I see that one of us (me) is getting credit while the other one (him) is not. 2 - As far as the IMDB searching world knows my only involvement in season four is writer on OH NO, YONO! and MD&A as well as story editing on MD&A. Like how would it get both credits right on MD&A, but then only get the writing credit on YONO? And what about the rest of the season 4?! <sigh> 3 - Updating credits is a real pain in the patootie (yes, there - I said it - the "p" word)! If it was a simple process that wasn't so darned time consuming, I'd sort it all out, but the process is such an arcane mess. Okay, yes, I admit it... this is a none-too-veiled attempt to "crowd source" this problem... if anyone wants to sort out the Swenlin credits on IMDB you'll have my eternal gratitude! ;D ...with all obligatory legal disclaimers, of course.

Brian-my IMDB file is full of mistakes, and ignores 90% of my so called career. I've stopped caring.

Sorry the show didn't win.
At least it didn't loose to Robot Chicken, that show reminds me of going to the Second City comedy club in Chicago. I went to the second string group. Just a bunch of skits that never had an ending. Where's the talent in that. Also anyone can put out a joke once and a while. The real talent in creating a story and dialog to keep people interested.
Anyway, hope things are going well with everyone.
Thanks

Hello, Mr. Swenlin. What interesting projects have you been working on lately that you can share with the public? Well... all that can be said at the moment is being said at www.swenlin.com There's stuff a'brewin with the French company... I hope to be posting official word soon. In the meantime, on a completely unrelated note, I've officially launched an unofficial new blog on consumer technology on my website - check out the BriPOD link and let me know what you think.

Nice blog. It's a pity I can't afford such things at this very moment. I'm struggling to save some money for my new small flat. Sigh...

The more I write on shows that aren't Kim Possible, the more I become nostalgic for writing on Kim Possible.

That's funny the more I don't see new Kim Possible shows I become nostalgic for watching Kim Possible. I can relate. It's tough to find really good shows on TV. I'm down to watching, Boston Legal, Smallville, King of the Hill and the Simpsons. Oh, and a Kim Possible of course, on my MythTV. Hope you can make it to the luncheon on May 24th. I'm trying my darn est to make it. I bet that since you know I may be attending, you'll be (cough, cough) will be busy that day.

Mr. Swenlin, my buddy has agreed to watch one episode of KP and I've been mulling over which one to show him. I've asked others, and as a writer for the show, I am curious as to what you think. If you had one episode to turn someone from an atheist to a believer, which episode would you pick and why?
