Hello, everyone; I signed up a few days ago at the urging of CMF.
I was kinda wary about signing up at first; I'm a member of the Global Justice Alliance, which broke away from the now-dead Alternate Reality Association.... some of you here may remember the forum war between ARA and RS.net, and frankly, the whole thing left a bitter taste in my mouth about this place.
However, both sides kinda burnt themselves out, and the current crop of posters looks to be much more civil and cordial to each other. When the GJA was founded, there was an attempt to clean the slate and repair relations.... Although I was uncertain about joining, my impressions so far have been very good. In addition, there has been significant cross-flow between the GJA and RS.net, and many of our biggest GJA posters have accounts here, and that makes the transition for me a lot easier.
-----------
Anyway, enough about that. I became interested in "Kim Possible" when the show first aired back in 2002 (dang, it seems so long ago!), and I remained a casual fan until about August-September 2004. At that point, I discovered a KP forum called "TV Tome" (some of the Old Guard might remember it) and I became aware for the first time that there was a *very* sizable amount of people who liked the show.
When that forum went down under spam attacks, we migrated to the ARA, which split into the GJA after admin Erased Paper ran the place into the ground, and now I'm here.
Personally, I'd consider myself something of a mix of things, I guess - someone with great interest in science, technology, weaponry, and aeronautics, who also has a curious, creative, imaginative, aesthetic side. I suppose I'm somewhat rare in that I want to be an aeronautical engineer, yet English is one of my favorite subjects and I create fanfiction and AMVs.
Scouts has had a massive influence on my life; I attained Eagle Scout in January 2007 and I'm currently an Assistant Scoutmaster and a member of the Order of the Arrow.
Through Scouts, I became a a backpacking/outdoors enthusiast and an opinionated advocate of the environment.
I'm currently on my high school's robotics team, and frantically trying to juggle school, robotics, college ramp-up, and my KP addiction.
"Kim Possible: For when the heroin finally loses that special oomph. ;D"
