I've seen three episodes of Magic Knight Rayearth. And one day, I will watch the other 52. Gunslinger Girl? Zombie-Loan? Love Hina? Mahou Sensei Negima? ... you'd probably prefer the second series of it to the first actually, but still, Negima? I've heard of all those series, and actually was looking into watching most of them. I've been on an anime movie kick lately, but when I get off it, I'll have to look into those! ^-^ GT-kun, that was the best gravedig ever; my thread has been dead for months! Lucky me, I checked it this morning. Arigoto! Yep, I got to meet Vic! And I'll get to see him again, amongst other VAs from anime, at the con this year. And I'm staying all weekend! Um, why the Japanese honorifics? Did I miss something? Anyways, wow! I've never been to an anime con before. Did you get there by airplane? I use honorifics a lot now; I became an otaku over last summer. xD Nah, I went by car with a bunch of friends and my mother. We have two big cons in my state, and they're all within a two-hour drive from my house.

Glad to hear it. It'll take me months to go over all of the series on my list. Assuming I get around to it...

Some for the semi-late replies; been busy planning for MechaCon. Only a few weeks now! ^-^ I entered into the AMV contest and I have my new cosplay ready! Nice...wish I could go to A con...maybe I will someday... They're really fun! You get to meet all sorts of different fans, and VAs, and buy weird anime stuff from Japan! TWILAA!! I miss ya girl wassup?xD Melie! I missed you too. You know, if you really want to talk to me, just message me on YouTube. I'm there ALL the time right now. I've been good. Not too busy, because it's summer, but good. Just got through two proms and a birthday for my sister. So... you watched Haruhi. What's your opinion on Endless Eight? Ooooh! I actually watched all of Endless Eight (like a sucker, some would say), and personally, I don't mind it. Haruhi is known for its strange story tactics and lengthly boring parts (see last episode of season 1), so it didn't surprise me, but I did try to get through it as fast as possible so the plot would move forward. I liked Endless Eight's plot simply for its creativity and intrigue, but I'm not watching it all the way through again. xD Besides, you need to watch all of season 2 to understand what happens in the Haruhi movie, so I've heard.

I watched all of season 2 about two days ago. I've yet to watch the movie, but I know that you don't have to watch all of season 2 to understand it... but if you watch Endless Eight, you understand what caused Yuki to do what she does. We watched it eight times and got annoyed by it. She lived it 15532 times. If I ever rewatch Season 2, I'm watching just the first and last Endless Eight episodes. The rest were just... ugh. KyoAni was sadistic when they did that.

According to A review I read, you need to watch the whole of season 2 or read the series' novels to understand some of what happens in the movie; the stories are linked. I haven't seen it either though. I'm waiting for the DVD release. Lol! Yeah, like I said, I probably won't rewatch it. I edit anime AMVs, so all the changes in the footage from episode to episode were nice for me and helps when editing to Haruhi. ^^ I don't think many people feel the same way though.

Episodes 3 through 8 are, from what I've read, just to let you feel sorry for Yuki and to understand why she does what she does. Still, I feel sorry for the people who watched it when it first came out. Two months of the same thing while waiting patiently for a Disappearance arc in the anime, just to find out there is none. Still, the fact they took the time to animate all the episodes independently shows they're dedicated. And the episodes with original plots were good. But Endless Eight in the manga apparently consisted of just one chapter. Eesh. I hope that summer was good for Haruhi if she had to spend nearly six hundred years on it...

A truly never-ending summer! xD I actually felt bad for Yuki as well; having to live through the same timeframe over and over. Even if she isn't human, that's still so torturous to think about. OMG, I'm glad I waited for the show to finish airing; by the time I watched it, they had already announced the movie, so I knew the Disappearance arc was coming. Hey, you watch Negima, right?

I want to see Disappearance now. It sounds epic. And that I do, yes. ... I like how Google has, for once, got relevant ads. It's advertising MangaFox at the bottom of this thread.

The trailer is beyond amazing! I thought so! I wanted to make sure you did, so I have someone to discuss it with. A friend gave me the manga. Eh, I like MangaReader better. Everything it read online gets taken down on MangaFox.

And the plot itself is interesting. The stoic Yuki finally flips and changes things so she never has to meet Haruhi. I have volumes one through 19. And I've been reading up to Chapter 292. I use OneManga.

I use OneManga. That alone makes me wanna watch it. This movie may just turn Yuki into my favorite Haruhi character; so far, that role has been led by Kyon, with Haruhi second, Koizumi third, Yuki fourth, and then Mikuru last (your moe does not sway me; you are still annoying! ) I've only read manga 1, but it's very cute so far! I mean, the plot is almost overly cliched in the world of harem, but Negi is cute, smart, and determined, so you can't help but cheer for the little guy. Plus he's a wizard, so that's a plus in my book! It's written by the guy who wrote Love Hina though, isn't it? I used to use OneManga a lot, but they took down Ouran High School Host Club and Pandora Hearts, two of favorites. So I had to venture elsewhere for my scans. xD

You watched Endless Eight? And you didn't die a little inside?

I personally rank it as Kyon > Yuki > Koizumi > Haruhi > Mikuru. Haruhi would be higher, but, really, she's just cruel to Mikuru. And anyone who gets in her way. But that's why I always like Haruhi! Actually, people have compared me to Haruhi based on my personality. xD Epic! I plan to buy the rest of the series soon then. (lol, the example picture in the link is great. I know that anime too!) I've yet to watch it, but I know a good bit about it and it's on my list pf things to watch. I figured it was the same writer though; similar character designs and scenarios. He sure loves his girls' school harem. Fear not the other manga sites, young otaku. MangaReader and MangaFox are really good, but MangaReader has less copyright to deal with, so I usually read there instead. You watched Endless Eight? And you didn't die A little inside? *shrug* Not really. The fact that there's a movie afterward and a new novel being released healed whatever wounds Endless Eight caused. And even then, I actually enjoyed the arc a little. For some strange reason.

There's cruelty, and then there's downright sadism. Imagine how her actions would seem if she were male. It wouldn't be funny. It'd be sexual harassment. Recently, the series has focused less on blatant fanservice and more on action. Who's your favourite member of Negi-kun's class thus far? Love Hina predates Negima. You'll find some Mythology Gags in Negima because of that. For instance, the school of swordsmanship both Setsuna and Motoko practise. ... who you calling young, girly? To be honest, I pretty much gave up on Endless Eight on the third episode and just started reading TVTropes articles while it played in the background.

There's cruelty, and then there's downright sadism. Imagine how her actions would seem if she were male. It wouldn't be funny. It'd be sexual harassment. Well, that's true. But I think what makes it funny the fact that she's a girl, and is playing directly to otaku cliches when she forces a moe girl to join her club and sexually harasses her all the time. xD Hmmm... let's see. I really like Asana so far; she's a good leading lady. Evangeline is quite cool (vampires, yay!), and for some reason, I find Ayaka and her "closeness" to Negi hilarious to read about. Really? That's cool! Well, you're right. I really can't call you young since we share birthdays, but depending on what time you were born October 9th... I really could be older than you! ;D So do you prefer manga over anime? Or anime over manga? That's a tough one. I watch a lot of anime (I've completed watching over 50 series and 20 some movies and OVAs), but I also read a lot of manga (reading 50 series at the moment; I own over 300 books now too xD). I'm somewhat partial to manga though; usually the story is more detailed and things don't get cut out like they do in anime. But some things don't have manga origins (things like Code Geass, most Miyasaki movies, and video game animes like Air and Higurashi) so I can't always rely on manga for a good story.
