Disney bought Marvel.
Yeah, I'd love to see a KP comic: they'd have to use the same artistic direction as the series did though, and consulting with Mark and Bob and the original writing staff is a def' requirement.
Not being in an animated format, they could even tweak or add to the original artistic direction with something like photorealistic elements for fire, etc.
Even if we don't get a DVD movie or other such animated continuation of the franchise, it'd be a good sign to see that they haven't let Kim Possible die completely.

Well it's good to see this topic coming back into light as Disney now unfortunately owns Marvel something that should have never happened cause it's not a match but Disney is out of ideas so they need Marvel to keep the money flowing in.
So yes hopefully Disney will see the potential of releasing a Kim Possible comic under the Marvel brand but this will only happen if we continue to try to convince Disney to do so.
And tomorrow being Sunday is Fight For Five so let Disney executives know that you want to see a Kim Possible comic being launched.

Okay, first off, Disney does own Marvel, but Marvel is remaining it's own business unit within the larger Disney corporate structure, like Pixar, ABC, and so on. So enough with the doom and gloom.
Believe it or not, when Disney sees something is working well, it doesn't screw around with the formula. Not only that, Marvel wasn't stupid when the sale happened. Disney's got quite a few restrictions under the terms of the sale.
Now, as far as comics go, right now Disney is having a very successful and profitable relationship with Boom! Studios. They have an ongoing Muppet Show and Incredibles series and they have plans to launch a Darkwing Duck series this summer. If that works out, I think a KP comic may be forthcoming in the future.

And what were some of those restrictions? Keeping the Disney mindset out of it?

I would love to see a KP comic, but am deeply bothered by the fact that whilst they list on the Disney site that KP is showing on ABC Kids on saturdays, it is not. (The Replacements and Emperor's New School - the two shows that are alongside KP in the early hours - are.) The fact that it's not showing is bad enough, but for Disney to not even bother to keep the website correct... But, back to the lighter side of things, and back on topic with the KP comic. I'd want the art to match the series, obviously, but I'd also be picky about who wrote the stories. It would be vital (IMHO) that the stories aim for the creme-a-la-creme of the broadcast KP rather than have writers look down on the audience (not uncommon when the view is that the audience is too young to know better).

Oh, as for who wrote. Kim Possible is classed as Spy-Fi (a subset of Sci-Fi), so it's best to look for writers who specialize in that genre. A lot of the comics I've seen (X-Men, Dr Strange, etc) have a lot of the sort of elements I'd want but seem to play them down. I see a lot of angst and drama, but not so much the stuff that makes SF distinct.
Far as I know, Tanith Lee has only done one picture book and has not been involved in comics, but I'm convinced she could do a Monkey Fist story like no other person on Earth. (For those not familiar with her, she's a Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Goth-Horror writer.) She'd not be an easy - or cheap - person to get, but if Disney/Marvel were serious about a comic KP, you want top talent on scripting the stories.
I'd also probably look for at least comparable talent in other areas overlapping with Spy-Fi for the early stories. A strong start would create the most interest (and therefore tell Disney the potential) but it would also set the bar for later writers.

Glad you brought this topic back shegoaddict as I've been trying to get a Kim Possible comic going as it would be a surefire hit again I've mentioned this before that if we want to get anything Kim Possible we gotta fight for it otherwise it will never happen.
Save with Kim Possible merchandise, Kim Possible DVD's all four seasons, etc. So if you want a Kim Possible comic to happen write to Disney or even best mail a post card to Disney and Disney executives as well as Marvel executives and just let them know you'd like to see a Kim Possible comic happen.

Well I could think up some good little tales to do in Comic form. I just think there's a ton of ideas that could be done. Some college tales, high school stuff we never got to see, Ron's dreaming of him being Fearless Ferret (with Kim snapping him out of it around the end) etc.
If only somebody in the offices would get the clue. If I did have info I would indeed send notices that it's wanted indeed.

That would be cool! I hope they do!
The comic would continue their adventures in The College Years.
Kim and Ron are still a couple and partners. It'll reveal if Ron is in college, maybe the same college.
Ron will get some attention and respect he lacked in the series. We'll probably see Gill and Fukushima trying to get more powerful to fight Ron. Gill is human who can change to fish monster form, but he still blames Ron for what happened to him. Fukushima still resents Ron for being an outsider, and is more furious now that he's the Mystical Monkey Master. And he'll try to revive Monkey Fist who will not be happy at this info. Unless, he goes through redemption.
Bonnie will still see Ron as a loser, I'll bet.
The Lorwardians will probably become the new main villains. They will try to conquer Earth following their greatest warriors Warhok and Warmonga killed, unless they survived. They believe Kim Possible alone killed them, so they'll try to capture her. They might even sent bounty hunters. Once she's captures, they'll put her on trial for "crimes against the empire" for murdering the Lorwardians, an act which makes Earth a target and enemy of the empire. No planet has fought back and they don't want it to start now, because resistance movements and rebels learn of this and were inspired. After Kim's trial, they'll torture her, and then execute her by public beheading. If Warmonga is still alive, she'll mount Kim's severed head as a trophy as mentioned in "Graduation, part 2".
Or they do it to Ron if they learned the truth, and he'll be mounted on Warhok's wall. Or they'll come to see him as "The Great Blue" and brainwash him into being Zorpox.
It'll be awesome if it turns out Shego the Supreme One somehow still exist and is in the present. She wants to get back at Kim for pushing her out the window, almost killing her. And at Drakken for making her explain everything to Kim and Ron, giving Ron the motive to fight and setting things right. Kim and Ron might even regain the memories of what happened.
