I'm not sure we ever really hear what Kim and Ron are planning on studying at college, or even how prestigious the college is. If we assume a college of some high standing (really a requirement if Kim is to get very far with being a diplomat), then there aren't that many subjects Ron excels at to the point where he'd be accepted.
For Ron, I'd say that really limits him to Food Science, Cullinary Science (yes, there really is such a subject) or one of the liberal arts (he could probably get a degree in studying the Star Wars trillogy). Maybe animal psychology, as he has mastered the call for the sausage dog and has a pet naked mole rat.
For Kim, it's harder. She isn't a polyglot (she only learned French as a second language, and we don't know how far she got with that, and maybe picked up a smattering of Latin), she doesn't strike me as being an expert in the usual fields associated with international affairs, she has only learned enough of the different cultures around the world to suffice for her work. Criminology, although a field she has good skills in, isn't really going to be that useful. I'm guessing psychology or something else that she has made enough use of in her work to count towards requirements for such a course. Anyone have any thoughts?
