So a while ago I was walking my dog, and I said "Sit, Shego!" Then I was like "Ohhhhhh....." and last week I was looking at my hamster sleep and saying "Wake up Rufus!" I caught myself again! Has this ever happened to any of you? You know, you're in class and you call the teacher Mommy, or just call someone someone else? Share your story here! ;D

I confuse my brother and the dog all the time.
"Aw crap, George peed on the floor again. Bear, help me clean this up."

Panther, I feel sorry for your little brother. A bit. He must be very understanding. I've called my teachers "mom" before. And I call my dog "Fluffy" frequently. I've called him Rufus too. The women in my family are notorious for confusing names of other women. I've been called my mother's name, my aunts' name, and my cousin's names.

I used to call my gym teacher mom, but that's because she was my mother.

Once when I was 10 - another time when I was 13 ^^ I said 'Mummy' ;D Brits say it like that. My dad always gets peoples names mixed up. He goes through two or three sets of names before he gets to mine ^^ That's only when his mind's on other things though, lol. PS. No, he's not senile ^^

I always get my dogs name mixed up, sometimes I just act so dyslexic it's not even funny. Well maybe it is.
I think we all called our teachers "Mom" or "Dad" accidentally at one point, I know I did.

A friend of mine made his teacher cry with happiness when he called her 'Mum'.
At 9 years of age, he was kinda freaked ;D

Haha! That's hilarious! I once did that at a party when I was 11. Everyone was chatting and I couldn't get a word in, so I put my hand up - and LOOKED LIKE A COMPLETE AND UTTER DORK ;D

I've called teachers mom before and I've done the raise the hand thing at home. My grandma always calls me by wrong names too. She calls me by my uncle's name, then my dad's name, then my other uncle's name, and just sticks with that one. Sometimes she calls me by my name, but not often.
I think the funniest incident though was back in high school a few times I'd call one of my friends 'Jeffers' which was the name of a teacher! He was the coolest teacher at the school though, so it was alright. He even came to our parties!

the whole mom thing reminds me of a line from a simpsons episode where bart said "this is mroe embarrassing than the time I called the teacher Mom" and then Milhouse said "even I beat you up that day"
