I can see Ron playing as an option-QB. You don't have to be big....just quick.
If he is wearing a super-suit...he would be hard to catch...and he could take a hit (if they catch him).
I am sure Coach Barkin would overlook Ron's past dealings w him and give him a shot at QB.

Well, at least now we know what position he'll be playing. I just hope he doesn't wind up as lunch for some 340-pound linebacker with anger-management issues. Reminds me of an old Doonsbury comic strip: B.D.: "Okay, let's get a run-down on the new line the other team just put in." Teammates: "Their average size is 6'8", 320 lbs." "The right guard has one eye and steel teeth." "The left tackle killed thre backs last season." B.D.: "Alright, this next play is going to be a hand-off."

With any luck, maybe Ron will get his very own super-suit in the future. He deserves to have a wardrobe as a big as Kim's.

Also, since he IS still on the team, I wonder if we'll see any more gridiron action from Ron. It would be pretty cool, I think, to show him tearing up the field on Friday nights every so often.

I'd also like to add at this point, that Chicago could have used Ron on the field in Miami tonight. Man... Da Bears were just pathetic!

I don't play for teams that are named after man-eating animals. I'm not saying they didn't make a good offer though. Ok, fine, they didn't actually make an offer, but somebody told me they wanted to. Well... he said if he were them and I was still me but older that he them would hire want older me on the his him's team.

I mentioned this in another thread, but I think you might want to check Kim's closet again and make sure the suit is still there.
Peyton Manning was almost too good tonight, if you catch my drift...

I don't know if anyone noticed during the premier, but one of the promos showed Ron running smack into the goalpost.
What I want to know is how the heck did he do that? I mean, unless the whole school was time-warped back to the early 1960s, and the posts are on the goal line again, he'd have to be at least two yards out the back of the endzone to hit the support post like that. If he's running a reciever patern here, then he's clearly ineligible, and Barkin's gonna have a few words with him about position and finding your mark.
Although I must admit, it does give a whole new meaning to the term "running a post-patern."

I mentioned this somewhere else but, I ponder if ol Ron will, nah I don't think he'd do it, Brick maybe but Ron no.
somehow Kim gets a football and Ron playfully tackles her, little words exchange and too a kiss. (yeah doubt this with how keeping the fun couple stuff out, boo )
On the goalpost smack, remember that too (thanks the position Kim is in after he hits it) I honestly think he has his helmet off and runs into it. So hopefully we see what caused this.

Here's something I noticed in "Mad Dogs & Ailens."
After Ron catches his first pass, (and is subsequently distracted by the antics of the Tweebs), he gets nailed by one of the defensive players, then dog-piled by about six others.
Just where the heck were the officials during all of this? Isn't ANYBODY throwing flags during this game? I mean, c'mon... I've never seen a more blatant example of a late hit! Personal foul and 15 yards, puh-leazze!
Also, did anybody notice the quarterbacks? The first pass Ron caught was thrown by # 2, while the second was thrown by # 9. Did Barkin switch QBs when we weren't looking?
Furthermore, Ron seems to be spending a lot of time running pass routes for a halfback. It looks like they're using him more as an outlet receiver than a traditional running back.
Just my thoughts on the subject, which may or may not represent reality.

I noticed the QB switch to, # 2 must not have been getting it done. Ron probably would make a better player catching the ball out of the back field than trying to run past linemen and through Linebackers, Reggie Bush style.

I'd have to agree with you there, although I suspect he might do well running sweep plays. With his natural quickness and agility, he should be able to stretch a play to the outside and turn the corner, provided he gets some decent blocking from his linemen along the way. As for taking the ball up the middle and ramming it down the defense's throat... Fuhgitaboudit!

I was wondering how many yards did he run for?

I don't think they said specifically. It was only mentioned that he set a new school record, (or several records, depending on the episode you're watching), but they don't ever say exactly what that record (or records) was. Was it most yards overall? ...From scrimmage? Are they counting all the running he did going backwards or do they just measure from the line of scrimmage to where the play was blown dead? Does yardage gained on special teams count? Was it running? Passing? Combined? No one ever says.

I think it was rushing.
Because I am a football statistician, I see a flaw into how Ron gained so many yards in his final season at school.
