Dr drakkan doesnt seem to really want to take over the world to me.he seems to try to fail. its not just that hes dumb and has bad plans some times he seems to try hard to lose example STD he doesnt tie up rufus he knows for a fact that rufus is dangerous and will free kim and ron he has tied rufus up before so its not like he hasnt been learning but in STD hes about to win and more or less trys to lose. another example is in emotion sickness he goes to middleton days to steal a lasar he knows kim will be there and that he will lose.its not like he has nothing to gain from trying to take over the world if he wasnt he'd just be a collage dropout with no job and no girlfriend/wife with his evil plans hes got henchmen, lairs, shego, money, and an arch foe.also his nontake over plans seem much better than his take over plans example erik which was clearly his best plan ever it works on many levels first off it hurts the kim/ron team which is somthing only furture shego has tryed to do,also it distracts kim and also gives them an easy way to capture kim at any time. in showdown at crooked D his hats arent a take over the world plan and they work great. so does anyone think hes trying to lose or is it just cartoony super villanish stupidty

He does want to take over the world, it's his life's ambition.
"so does anyone think hes trying to lose or is it just cartoony super villanish stupidty"
The second one.

I don't think that his posse's betrayal was what finally drove Drew Lipsky to evil, though it was probably a large contributing factor. All his life people seem to have considered him and everything he did worthless. Something must have driven him completely over the edge; it seems unlikely that he was a villain for the whole twenty years of his life that we know nothing about, his lack of evil proficiency supports this, as well as the fact that initially nobody had heard of him.
But I digress. It seems to me that his desire to conquer the world isn't really because he wants to rule the world, but that he's trying to prove a point to everyone, and possibly himself: that he is NOT a loser. By achieving the one thing that nobody in the history of mankind has been able to do, he feels that finally he will get the recognition that he has been craving all his life. However, for all his crazed genius and planning, his efforts are always thwarted either by a cheerleading teenager, or his own miscalculations.
He seems to be cursed to always fail at almost everything he attempts. The more that he loses, the more he tries to prove that he CAN win. It's kind of sad, really, but as long as he tries to commit villainous activities, he will never succede. He's trapped, both by the law, and his own determination to never give up, in a cycle of vengeance and villainy that he will most likely never escape.

He almost succeded in STD. I mean if Ron hadn't rose Kim's spirit, Drakkin would be ruling the world. I mean he is a pretty bad villian because he's not a good inventor and most of his plots are stopped by Team Possible. Im pretty sure that even after his last defeat, he'd try again and again.

That Ron!
So many details to pay attention to to take over the world. Neglecting apparently buffoonish sidekicks is such a bad idea. Really, though, a plan that can be foiled by interrupting a signal or cutting the power has a lot of vulnerabilities. At the beginning of "Blush" Kim does this twice!

I have to agree.. even though as much as i would love to see Drakken and Shego win for once.. there would really be nothing more for them to do on the series. There would be no point. Though, i think he really would like to take over the world... but I always wondered why. I mean.. i always thought he did these things because he was a depressed man with a horrible childhood (which btw.. i wish they would tell us more about). Sometimes I do wonder that if (me.. being the D/S Shipper) that if he and Shego were to eventually settle down and become a couple, that he would give up on trying to take over the world and live a normal life with Shego. Of course, i would always believe he would keep his normal bad self attitude, whether taking over the world or not. i always imagined their life together (and quitting villainy) to be somewhat like how bundycoot's fanart depicts them---> bundycoot.deviantart.com Check out her stuff.. it's hilarious x3 I'll always luff Drakken and Shego whether they quit villainy or not

However, for all his crazed genius and planning, his efforts are always thwarted either by a cheerleading teenager, or his own miscalculations. I wholeheartedly agree. Drakken doesn't want to take over the world because he wants to better it, or even because he has some set plan of how he wants it to be run. He tries to do it so that people will recognize him as a winner... to get the respect he's never experienced in his life. He equates respect with obedience (see Twin Factor and the mind control chips), hence him wanting the whole world under his thumb. I think if he ever did manage to take over the world... he wouldn't know what to do with it afterward.

yea.. you're right. He probably wouldn't know what to do.. All he wants is a little respect, and like Novomagus said, to prove to others and himself that he is not a loser. *hugs him* <=3

I can see Drakken actually winning and taking over the world. He would want all the props. Maybe even having Kim and ron as his personal servants just to rub it in. Then when it got to the point of RUNNING the world, he would hate it. He would think of all the times of he and Shego taking on Kim and Ron. Won't say it was all fun but a challenge. Maybe he would let Kim and Ron escape and defeat him so they could do it all over again. I think he would like the "chase" more than the winning.

It would take a real Miracle, If Drakken ever Did take over the world. But If he's not Giant then he will never rule. Never be King.

I kind of wonder what he would do if he actually succeeded in taking over the world. Would he build a massive palace-like lair, and have a throne? Would he put everyone under mind control or just the trouble-makers? And would the other villains then become his enemies, because they'd want to rule the world? I suppose he'd give Shego Iceland to keep her happy enough not to turn against him and take over the world for herself. He'd rename all the towns and stuff, with his name in it. He'd be kind of like Shego was in ASiT, only perhaps not as ruthless. I don't think he would use obediance collars to cause people pain. His style of controlling people, is more like elaborately planned out death threats or mind control, rather than pain or torture. He'd probably also have armies of robots, clones, mind-controlled people, or something marching around to keep him in power. And he'd keep Kim on a leash as his pet slave girl.. LOL

I think Drakken wants the world to make up for the past grievances of his life, but he doesn't realize that world domination PROBABLY won't make him happy. The things Drakken desires are respect, affirmation, and attention--he wants people to be aware of his gifts and talents and treat him to a lot of ego-stroking--and while one would certainly get a lot of attention as a supreme overlord, I doubt he would enjoy being in charge and responsible for an entire planet. What he really needs is a good hug.

Are you crazy, Drakken couldn't take over his bedroom, and seems to not even want to modify his plans a little, a simple Assassian could take Kim out easily, instead he spends more time creating evil monoluges and plans that don't make a lick of sense, no wonder he fails time and time again. Shego though, watch out, she could succeed in taking over the world, after all she succeeded once, in ASiT
