The one existing KP crossover drives one thing home for me. Crossovers do not work unless one of the other is adapted into the artistic style of the "Host"
In other words, when they used (cruddy Season 1 style) Kim animation directly on the softer styled animation of Lilo & Stitch, the result was nothing less than jarring. The two styles didn't mesh, and other shows it could be worse.
Take the new style of ADJL. If they adapted KP for a guest shot, I'm sure she would be built a lot like the way they now draw Rose. Ultra skinny legs, etc. Not sure I want to see that.
Or even look at Danny Phantom. Granted, I'd like to see the DP characters adapted into KP style, but I'm sure it would go the other way around. Oh well, just look at Dannielle Phantom to see kind of what Kim would look like.
the KP L&S crossover just proves the concept ain't the greatest.

Juz to let u all know (for those who doesn't), the KP and LS crossover animation is done by Toon City......not the best of all KP animation companies (i.e. Rough Draft and Starburst). They did a few of KP episodes in Season 1 such as Coach Possible and Monkey Ninjas in Space, which was quite rough, and rather disappointing. Its no wonder that the rest of the Season 2 and Season 3 was awarded to Rough Draft and Starburst only! I feel that if either Rough Draft or Starburst did the KP and LS crossover, it would have turned out better.

I don't fault the animation companies. The KP/Lelo & Stitch crossover wasn't written for KP fans. Lelo saving Kim?! Ron gets chased instead of helping Kim?! What were they thinking? The only scene where Kim and Ron did fit into the episode was the very end when they were hula dancing.
Oddly, Drakken and Shego seemed to fit much better into the role. Drakken wanting to clone Stitch as a device to take over the world is Sooooo Drakken. And Shego got slurped. That was just funny.

ohhh...I was juz commenting solely on animation. Yup, the story wasn't so good...but bear in mind that it is a L&S episode, of which KP and Ron guest stars. So, the episode would be done to in a way that would please the L&S fans. It'll be different if its the other way round (i doubt that will happen!)....

As for the roles, yes, Drakken and Shego worked, even though they still didn't look right. But I'm not talking about artistic quality, I'm talking styles. The fluid style of KP does NOT mesh with the, well, plumper looking qualities of L&S

KP in L&S doesn't work, but L&S in KP....well, that's a different story. Starburst and Rough Draft have some very talented animators. Remember StD? who would have thought RD would come out wif some awesome animation for the movie, far better then what they started off in Season 1. I'm sure they would be able to come out with something to harmonise both animation styles if they were given a chance to do L&S in KP, but I don't see that ever happening (the L&S in KP, i mean)....not in the near future, at least!

Does anybody want to go and find the guy who wrote the episode and burn him at the stake?

Does anybody want to go and find the guy who wrote the episode and burn him at the stake? just a little, the story was not that bad, and as was said, it was mainly written to please L&S fans, not KP fans in my opinoin, most crossovers in general never stack up to what they should the story has to fit into what ever is happening in the plot, and as a result, character actions might not fit properly, as was seen in the L&S KP crossover
