I think it changes to whatever the writer's need, but I figure it's similar in size to my hometown

Hmmm... I think it is kinda of small.... Even Drakken ever commented that " How much places can Kim Possible hides in this boring size of this ares"

I think it's a mid size town. I'd say about large enough for MHS to have about 1000 or so students.

But--if MHS is the only high school in Middleton, that may indicate it's a relatively small community. The city I grew up in had about 100,000 people and there were 4 regular public high schools, 1 public high school that was in another district but still within the city's border, and 2 private high schools...a total of 7 high schools.

I took it that Eastside is in Middleton - just an impression.

I took it that Eastside is in Middleton - just an impression. Same here. So, let's say Middleton has about 3 high schools other than MHS. Each having about 1000 students. About 4000 people in high school. So, let's say another 6k are in Elementary and middle schools in that area, so about 10k. So, maybe Middleton is about 50,000 big? Just a random estimate.

Another thing: In Ron Millionaire Kim mentioned Denver. That leads me to think that Denver might be the closest larger city (I've always thought Middleton was in Colorado) which in turn leads me to think that they are a smaller city (the entire Tri-City area might be smaller than Denver)

Denver is about 560,000.
So, the Tri-City Area might be about 150,000 people, at the most.

Or, perhaps Middleton is a pseudonym for one of Denver's suburbs. Sort of like how "Metropolis" is seen as really NYC in Superman's universe.

I always thought of it like a suburb outside of denver or someplace like that.

Sounds like a good idea, suburb of Denver.

I thought of it a little differently. More like NC's own "Tri-City" (the "Triad") where three smaller cities are still smaller together than a big one like Charlotte (roughly the same size as Denver)
In my fics, Denver is 2 hours away. (roughly 90 miles)

I never discussed it in my fics.
Mainly because in my KPD Universe, they lived on the the California coast.

Also, in Pain King vs. Cleopatra...
Kim asks Monique, "Where do you go to school?"
Meaning, there's more than one high school in that general area of Middleton.
