Ron Stoppable Messageboard Rules
These rules have been written basically to define some ground rules to help keep the board running smoothly as it continues to grow and be active.
Rules are subject to change under staff approval, so stay alert for additions and changes.
INTRODUCTION
By registering as a member of this message board, you agree to abide by all rules. If you really think you do not have the self control and cannot, find a place that will accept your ideas.
As a member, you are encouraged to contact staff members if any problems arise. If you feel a post made by another member is questionable because perhaps it violates rules or because it personally offends you, it is requested that you please PM a staff member and do not create a new thread about it or reply in a negative way to it. Doing so typically makes the issue worse. Let the staff handle the situation.
BASIC RULES
Flaming.
Flaming is not allowed.
Personal attacks are not allowed.
No talking negatively about other boards.
Please keep personal disputes off the boards or deal with them through PM.
Mature Content.
"Adult" content (pictures and stories) and role-play (material not suitable for viewers under 18 years of age, which is typically the Kim Possible fandom) is not allowed on the public boards. If you really wish to discuss these things, do them in your own time and privately. There are numerous places such as email, instant messaging, and even PMing in which you can discuss mature content.
NC-17 is not allowed.
Members who feel their content is suitable for the board but may not be appropriate for children under 13 years of age are required to include a clear warning in the subject of the thread. This is a common rule, although sometimes this attracts more children into actually viewing the thread. The thread will be able to exist, but if complaints start happening and it starts to get out of hand, it will be locked and until someone convinces of why there's nothing wrong with it, it will simply stay that way and then be deleted.
If, in the art section, there is more than one piece of art and one or more happen to be PG-13 (not all), then the PG-13 one should be posted -only- as a link, with a warning by the link, and the warning does not have to be in the title.
But seriously, this is a Kim Possible Messageboard. We want it safe for all ages.
NOTE: There is quite a difference between PG-13 and NC-17. The latter shall not appear on this site at anytime period! But really, there should not be anything too mature for the age group that Kim Possible targets.Links to inappropriate images or statements are subject to review by staff, and are subject to deletion, including the entire post.
Content.
Please do your best in trying to use good grammar and spelling. At least with a decent amount of punctuation and capitalization so that others may understand you better. This isn't a solid rule, but keep it in mind. So far, few have had issues with this to the point where it was annoying. And please NO "L33T" or "netspeak". Typically people can't decipher that either.
And please keep your language clean and as inoffensive as you can. There are many words which can replace those which are vulgar and offensive. And anyway, you shouldn't be offensive. This is to possibly include abbreviations such as WTF!, a classic expletive that most of us knows what it means, but shouldn't be uttered on a message board.
Spamming.
Here are the SPAM VIOLATIONS that will be on the lookout for:
After March 1, a new policy will go into effect. Spam violations will now be issued a % violation using the new warning bar system. Here is how the warning bar system works:
PENALTIES AND WARNING SYSTEM:
Users that violate our board rules are subject to warning and/or banishment. We have implemented a warning bar (1%-100%) system on this forum. When a user commits a violation, they will be issued a warning and their warning bar will advance per the schedule below. They will also receive a message explaining the source of the violation. This message will become part of the profile and will remain there while a warning bar is active. The date/time of the violation is displayed. Only the member and staff can see a members active warning bar and violation message. When a warning bar reaches 100%, the next violation of any kind will result in a ban. The length of time for the ban will be determined by staff.
The folowing is a schedule of warning bar % penalties.
* Sig violation - (1st - 5%, 2nd - 10%, 3rd+ - 25%)
* Flaming/personal attacks - 25%-100%
* Forum bashing (this one or any other) 25%-50%
* Using a 2nd account to impersonate - Automatic Ban
* Posting inappropriate art/pics/links - 50%
* Spamming - 10 - 100% (depending on severity)
* Inappropriate language/stories - 50%
* File sharing of copyrighted material (or posting direct links to such material) - 50%-Auto Ban (up to staff)
* Deleting/Editing posts causing confusion - 10%-50% (depending on severity)
* Provoking/Flame baiting - 10%-50% (up to staff)
* Other violations - 1-100% as staff deems appropriate.
NOTE: Staff has the power to reduce or increase any of the above percentages at their discretion based on the nature of the offense.
Once your warning bar advances, you can consider yourself on probation here. If you demonstrate you can follow rules, behave and become a peaceful contributing member, staff may reduce your warning bar at their discretion. Exploiters of this rule will be banned. If you have a warning bar and have been "clean" for 30 days, please PM staff for a review. Typical reductions will be 15% for 30 days of "clean" activity. f you commit a violation within your probationary period, your 30 day review clock will reset, and additional percentages may be added to your warning bar level.
You may appeal a warning for review. You may NOT appeal a ban. Please PM the admin for an appeal.
Any and all complaints/problems/issues should be sent to the staff via PM. NO EXCEPTIONS.
If you have questions, you may PM an admin or moderator. Thank you.
Editing and Deleting Posts.
It is requested that you do not delete any of your posts if it has been topic of discussion. This will confuse everyone and cause misunderstandings. If you do delete a post, you will get a warning, and then a temporary ban. If you continue to do so, you will be banned without return.
This goes the same with editing. Do not edit your post to change its meaning unless no one has replied to it. What you write is what you write, and you will pay for the consequences if need be.
MAKING NEW THREADS
Some things to consider before making a new thread.
Will the thread contribute to the forum?
If you have an opinion, back it up with reason.
If you have a question, provide enough information so others can help you.
And if you just have something to say, say it respectively.
Has it been posted before?
At the top of the page, there is a search button. It's an easy tool to use in which you can find out if what you're trying to figure out has already been discussed or your question is already answered.
It is ALWAYS better to post in an existing thread than to start a new one.
If the thread is old and dead and perhaps super long to the point where you don't have time to read through all of it, then you can make a new one. Typically it should not be too hard to read through unless there is off-topic content throughout. While there should not be, you can make a new one. Just get prepared for people to comment about how they've already discussed it. If you're willing to deal with that, then make a new thread. If people start to over-react, then they're in trouble.
Always check stickies (such as this one) as they continue to appear in Ron's Messageboard.
Are you in the right forum?
Read through the descriptions of each area and decide which area best suits your thread.
PERSONAL ACCOUNTS
Members are allowed one account. Extra accounts will be deleted.
Do not post under a guest name pretending to be someone else. This will result in a temporary ban.
Avatars.
Avatar images must be appropriate and should not be super long animations that are more than 230KB. For some users, this will slow their computer and increase download times, especially if you've posted numerous times on one page.
Signatures.
Signatures should not be any larger than 540x150, but that's even found to be a stretch on Proboards. The signature limit may change if people abuse it.
****--------****
****--------****
Large signatures waste screen space and take time to download, so just like with avatars, please keep them as small as possible. A small banner image and perhaps a bit of text is more than enough for members to "make their marks" on the board. Repetitive images are not needed.
If your signature is too large, you will be PMed and asked to change it. If you keep violating this rule, you will receive a warning bar and or temporary ban.
Avatar and Signature Guide
Image Posting
Images posted in this forum need to be at or below 720x720 in size. This is done to make it easier for people with dialup and low resolution screens to view the board. There are exceptions to this, such as in the Fan Art section. Images larger than 720X720 may be posted there. If you have a special image of an event and you wish to post it, you may leave the image as a link, or you may ask for permission to post the image.
In addition, some may not know how to make an image show up in their post. It is actually quite simple. Once you have the url of the image you want to post you use what are called image tags
here is an example
for a more detailed explanation look at our Picture Uploading Help thread
Custom Titles
1. A member may get a custom title if they accumulate 500 posts AND are a member for ONE YEAR
2. Once you reach this milestone, simply PM a moderator with your desired custom title and we shall change it for you.
3. Only plain white text is allowed for this reward. To get colored or fancy text for your title, you must win a designated contest. Some of our past winners have such a colored title.
4. You may only change your title once per month. You must PM a moderator to make the change
SO...
Violators will receive warnings or bans depending on the nature or frequency of the violations.
Have you ever wondered what all those icons mean in our forum? Like a burning folder or a grey rufus? Well, here's a little guide for you. If you'd like more info or have questions on any of this, feel free to PM me.
COMPLAINTS, CONCERNS, QUESTIONS
If you have any questions, concerns, or complaints, please PM the staff.
If you have any ideas for more rules, something we missed, or something you think should be changed, also PM the staff. We'll hear you out!
ALL IN ALL.
Let's just have fun and love Kim Possible!

Spamming.
Here are the SPAM VIOLATIONS that will be on the lookout for:
- No QFE's (Quoted For Emphasis) without significant contributions/comments
- No rapid/short comments (yeah, i agree, lol, huh?)
- No taking a thread OFF TOPIC. The INSTIGATOR gets the citation. The followers will get warnings/citations depending on the severity of the circumstances.
- Do not post "I'm staying out of this" or "no comment" type posts. If you have nothing to contribute, DON'T POST.
- Nuclear/Necro bumping is discouraged (bumping a post older than 3 months old). If you do it, you better have some significant info to add to the post.
- When posting in an introduction thread, make an effort to personally greet the person. Do NOT just copy/paste some silly greeting you give everyone. Make it personal or don't post.
- 3LL3T Sp3aK should be avoided so as not to cause confusion. This includes >D , RBNSLUE or any other combination of letters/symbols that only one or two members would have a clue understanding.
- Don't post pictures in a thread bigger than 720x720
- Do not double post. Edit your first post and just add to it. (EXCEPTIONS: Ok to double post in a shippy pic thread and fun board)
