Adam, morefood2001, and wallaceb (Adam, Phil and Brian) recently announced the creation of saveourshows.org (SOS) a website that will be dedicated to the championing of shows that are popular, yet cancelled for "business reasons" on various networks. Some examples of this are Phil of the Future, Danny Phantom, American Dragon Jake Long, etc.. At this time, Kim Possible is not up for renewal for season 5. KP will soon be part of this website and the fans and members of this forum are encouraged to join the fight for season 5 of KP. Since the staff of SOS is made up of members of this forum and will be part of the KP Fandom, we have created this thread for them to update us on the status of the newly formed website. As changes and upates are made, they can inform us through posts in this thread.

Thanks for creating this thread The forum will be up tomorrow if all goes well. We had a few technical database issues (windows to linux servers can be tricky). As for the site, we all will be working on that through the next few days to make it. We all have the vision, and we see the site growing tremendously. I called Tuc yesterday, and he is encouraged like the rest of us. The site will include everyone, and our motto currently is SaveOurShows.org... Bringing diverse fandoms together. Thats all for now, If I am missing anything, I am sure the team will cover it

Do let me know when you want to start a Season 5 campaign. I will try to assist as much as I can, but mainly on the internet campaign as I'm living approximately 12,000 miles from Los Angeles!

It's been a few days with few updates... But I wanted to let you know more of why we haven't been actively trying to gain membership... Aside from the fact that we still don't have a site built yet... www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=2847056#2847056Until an RC release of the forum software is out, anything we've got will be wiped clean on a new install. To get any kind of support on that site for technical issues and the like, we have to do a clean install with the RC version... Though we could use the 2.0.x version until then... But then we'd still wipe out what we've got already. Just keeping everyone updated on that...

I'm not sure if I wanna join another board, I prefer to help out through RS.Net....but if you guys make dracko19 an admin or moderator there (assuming if dracko19 is willing to be one), then I'll join in a heartbeat!
Till then, keep us updated in RS.Net. I'll help out as much as I can from here.

Adam, SOS Crew, all the members at RS; Beta versions rarely upgrade smoothly (My vista beta upgrade to RC did not work ). Not to make this a Vista conversation, but never use beta versions unless you really want to have a royal mess Anyways, I have a feeling that a fresh install will be a good idea because the SOS forum move from the old server to the new did have a few problems. I anxiously await for the PHPBB3 to be released As for more mods/admins at SOS, right now, we are overstaffed (I think it is 1 staff member per .8 members or something like that) Once we get everything up and running at 100% (including PHPBB3RC) and start drawing a lot of members, and at that time we will begin promoting mods/admins as necessary as per thoughts that have already been circulating. Ron and Dracko are 2 of the candidates that we will probably invite when the time becomes right. As for the site, the entire SOS staff is working together to make the site grow. We are accepting all the suggestions that we can get to make SOS a big success. Phil

Phil, we can install phpBB 2.0.22 and then upgrade to phpBB 3 when the RC comes out... That upgrade is supposed to be nearly flawless. That upgrade is supported

I guess I slack too much Thanks for pointing that PHPBB issue out Adam, That is why I am learning from what you do. Dracko19's appointment will be up to Adam, Binski, Tuc, and Brian (I do not want to be on the board). I am almost completely sure that all 4 will have no issues of appointing dracko to at least a moderator spot One last point, ALL shows will be supported and ALL fan sites will be encouraged to join in the effort. The more the merrier once we get everything to a stable, organized point.

But I only get say for another... 14 days. But dracko's always been of sound mind. He'd be a perfect addition if he chose to accept it.

Dracko19 has helped me many times also. That is why I say "at least" " Oh yeah: We now have a permanent solution in place for the forum so everyone can register now without any worries of lost data, names, etc in the future We will upgrade the forum (no data will be lost) once PHPBB3 RC1 comes out. We should have more features up tomorrow for other parts of the site

Okay, first off I'm honored that someone would like me to be part of another forum in the staff department. That said, I don't see me joining SOS's staff anytime soon. Part of SDS's problem recently was too many chiefs and not enough indians. Right now, SOS is trying to get things organized. Once that is done, they have more than enough staff to handle the traffic for the short term. If they begin to get overwhelmed and need some assistance, I'll be more than happy to assist. In fact, I would be more than happy to assist at any time in any way possible. However, I don't see a need right now for more staff there to handle the day-to-day load.
I'm just waiting for things to get organized before I join. I fully intend to join.
