My dad just called and told me some news about while he's house hunting. (for thoese who don't know, I'm moving) I will be a freshmen next year and my sister will be a senior so if we move, I will at least be with her. But, when my dad called, he said that there is a new high school opening and it's suposse to be AWSOME. The only ploblem is that for next year, it will only be open to freshmen and shopmores. Or, I could go to a borining old high school but not be alone. So, what would you guy's do?

Your lucky my highschool is 80 years old ,and is so over crowed that it only has room for grades 10-12. it also has a student poplation of 2300. I should add that my town has a pop of 100,000,it only has two highschools & no privet highschools.

I think age is important in a school. A new school can often feel very sterile and boring. But a lived-in school is awesome, in my opinion. It has history, and when you walk down the corridors - you know that hundreds of people through the decades have walked down the same corridors - and boy do those corridors have stories to tell! I'd definitely go for the boring old High School ^^

Yeah, but it's wierd because I go to a brand new school right now and since it's so small I know everyone. It's been a really long ime since I've been to an old school.

What do you want? That's the thing.
Would you rather have your senior sib with you or would you rather go it alone?
I mean, for me, I would have given anything to have had an older friend or sibling in high school with me when I was a Freshman. But, going it alone can be quite the adventure.

i'd really look into this "AWESOME" school before i made any decisions. visit it, get a tour, check what kind of classes, sports, etc are offered there. new schools, though they usually are up to date with technology and the like, are very empty, don't offer very diverse classes, and require the students to work hard during it's first few years to actually give the school a personality.
and what makes you think that the old high school is boring? check that school out too. for a school to be so old, but so lively should give you a clue that it must have something going for it.
personally though, i would go to the school that has the most opportunity windows open. yes, high school is what you make of it, but the school has to help out somehow.

the only thing that scares me is that the reason why they made the new school was because of the parents and it was is in a bad place of town. And I just talk to my sis and she said that she didn't care.
