OMG, that was such an amazing post to read! I think I'm going to... *faints* I can't believe the KP office actually talk about rs.net in passing! It's like:
schooley: So, did you go on rs.net today? swenlin: Why yes I did!
The sheer fact that you guys are even thinking of us is great!

So, KP is now so big and awesome, you actually have staff writers?

I may have initially pitched the notion that "Ron becomes a hero", but I specifically recall that Mark & Bob had the idea to do a Batman spoof, since the actor who voices Ron (the devastatingly talented Will Friedle) had previously been the voice of Terry McGinnis in Warner Bros. Batman Beyond. We started kicking ideas around and the notion of making the original Ferret like the 60's icon Adam West. That's when things really started coming together. The real trick of the story was cracking the villain - at one point Ron was up against "The Splinter" a Dutch crime lord with a penchant for wooden shoes! Through the dedication of story editing wiz Gary Sperling we eventually found "White Stripe" and all the pieces began to fall into place. When it came time to record I was really excited that they had landed Adam West for the voice. Sadly, as a freelance writer, I wasn't involved in the recording session - so I didn't get to meet Mr. West, but I grew up watching re-runs of his Batman show - so this was a big thrill. I'm really proud of that episode because it truly is this Kim Possible homage to all things Batman, and I got to be a part of that. Not to mention that it was my opportunity to continue playing a role in one of the coolest cartoons ever - Kim Possible!!!

Hey there everybody! ;D I was previously a freelance writer on KIM, but this season I've been brought on board as one of two staff story editors - the other being the ever talented Tom Hart. So, compared to seasons 1-3, I'm hip deep in this one. Along with various talented freelancers (I personally worked with Jim Peronto and Greg Weisman), Tom and I have worked with a couple of incredible staff writers: Kurt Weldon and Kim Duran. This season has been a blast and I can't wait for it to air so we can share the KP:S4 party with all of you! So the writer of "Emotion Sickness" and the writer of "Exchange" are now the staff story editors? This is such glorious news. I'm so excited! Congratulations! No wonder the glimpses of season four from Gathering of the Gargoyles were so spectacular.

So tell me about the glimpses at the Gathering. What did you see? Was Steve there showing stuff, or what? I saw another post somewhere and a snippet of my episode MAD DOGS & ALIENS was being described in detail - sounds like maybe a scene from a story board or pencil test had been shown.

Thanks Johnnys. Tom and I have been talking about trying to do something for next year's San Diego Comic Con. Even if Disney choses to not support the show at the Con, there's no reason that we can't just do it on our own right? Well... we'll see...

I agree....KP has such a huge fan base (its worldwide!!!!!). I'm sure it can work without Disney's support! I must admit that Emotion Sickness is my most favourite episode! What inspires you to come out with the idea to write that episode?

Unfortunately, I just won't be able to go to a KP convention if it's in America. I can't afford the travel costs.

Having such a huge fan base, I'm sure it'll materialise in the near future! Do keep us posted on your plans for next year's San Diego Comic Con. I'll make sure I'll be there if the KP crew makes an appearance!

All of our Gargoyles info is in this thread, including 'Mad Dogs and Aliens' details [which is looking to be a great episode by the way!]. And it's a shame you couldn't meet Adam West! Now that you're working so closely with the writers, I'm sure you'll get to meet any future celebrities you get to work with! Though, I doubt it'll be adequet compensation for not meeting the Batman(!) As for this San Diego Con, do you have any details on that? Does it have a name? Is it an annual thing?

So you wrote that one, correct? I can update the writer field for that episode on KP Fan World www.kpfanworld.com/guides/71

The Splinter!?! That would be so cool! Man, i hope to see at least another FF episode or mention to the Fearless Ferret....THE FEARLESS FERRET ROCKS!
So, Mr. Swenlin, how do you come up with these brilliant ideas?

Wow! Mad Dogs and Aliens is yours? I must say I was really impressed with even the short animatic clip I saw at the Gargoyles convention. I'm really looking forward to that episode!
