You guys had the Homecoming Upset Review Thread LOCKED because of Bonnie bashing!?!? XD It was only locked because there were a ton of reviews before the episode aired. They wanted to keep the thread size down. Tsk, tsk, tsk... Slick, lying is something bad.

So... is any actual bashing of Bonnie going to happen outside of silly dart games? Or is there just no point to this thread?

So... is any actual bashing of Bonnie going to happen outside of silly dart games? Or is there just no point to this thread? Ask and ye shall receive. 'No point to this thread'? Dude, did you even watch "Homecoming Upset"? Not a few minutes ago, I read a complaint about the episode that the person didn't like how Bonnie was made one-dimensional. Earth to dude: she was like that from day darn one. 'One-dimensional'. Like there was actually some point in the show's run where Bonnie was something other than the obnoxious, self-centered overgrown brat we saw in HU. And just as it's time to put a moratorium on Ron losing his pants, it's certainly high time for the Bonnie apologists to give the 'her sisters treat her badly' song and dance a rest. I posted this in another thread, but it bears repeating at least until it sinks in: And if you think I'm being unnecessarily cruel to what amounts to a fictional character, let me tell you something: there are people like Bonnie out there. Yeah, I know; breaking news, but I had a first-hand experience with one of these real-life Bonnies at my workplace. Needless to say that I'm not exactly itching to join (the show) Bonnie's fan club (and it still boggles the mind that she even has one). Not that she was a favorite before my traumatic experience. Bonnie belongs to my very least favorite (I've decided) character type: the pointlessly cruel mean girl (very much a euphemism; let's just leave it at 'next Tuesday'). That girl who's quick to tear down the hero(ine) with a cutting remark. That girl who has nothing better to do than make the hero(ine) miserable. People like this deserve to live long lives alone and forgotten, not revered and worshipped. I suppose I should take some comfort in the knowledge that, once high school is over, reality is going to give Miss Rockwaller a nice, hard kidney punch. As a matter of fact, I will. Is that enough?

I approve your word, lonestarr357. Bonnie is probably the kind of person that no one would want in their lives. However, you got to see this point: Bonnie is not a person, she's a fictional character.
Now, let's make some reasoning. Fictional characters can hardly be interesting just by themselves, and in KP case, it is mostly the interaction between characters that makes them interesting. For example, Shego wouldn't be not even nearly interesting if she wasn't so mocking and aggressive towards Drakken or cocky and even seductive towards Kim.
In Bonnie's case, she is one of the few persons that can bring out Kim's darker and mean side, which makes her more human and less "Mary Sue". Besides, I really don't think she's really just a one-dimensional character. She seems like one of the most realistic characters to me actually.
The episode "Bonding" showed some things of her that made her character more deep. And her sisters are not an excuse to justify her actions, but rather the explanation of her personality. Bonnie is actually a character that could be exploited a lot, like I’m trying to do in a fanfic I’m developing, in which she is a main character having an anti-hero role. Too bad the KP writers couldn’t have thought about something better for a Bonnie-centered episode in Season 4, y’know, something like “Bonding”.
Here I’m trying to give an objective or at least humble opinion, but I can’t help but to feel that most of the hate towards her, specially now because of “Homecoming Upset”, is biased, and being that way, it’s quite obvious that some people might decide to defend her.

You have to give Bonnie credit for one thing, though: she may be a grade-A bitch, but at least she's honest about it, unlike Kim "So not the drama" Possible. It's clear to me that Bonnie is confident in who she is and is unwilling to change that even though she probably knows everyone hates her for it. I admire that in a person. It's the reason I like Shego so much.
"Homecoming Upset" proved to me that Bonnie is never going to change. And you know what? I'm happy about it. She's mean, but at least she's consistent and makes no apologies about who she is. She doesn't try to please anybody, and has managed to fight her way to the top despite the fact that she's as mean as a snake and everone knows it. Even though her portrayal leaves a lot to be desired, I can't help but feel a certain amount of respect for a character who will not let herself be taken advantage of no matter what.
And honestly? Bonnie was designed to be hated. She's the girl everyone went to school with. Like you said, there are Bonnies everywhere. Carl Jung once postulated that the reason archetypes exist in stories is because we deal with those character types on a daily basis. Granted, Bonnie is more of a stereotype, but frankly so is Kim and everyone else on the show. Like Alex said, it is the interactions between the characters that makes the show entertaining, not the characters themselves.
And that's all I have to say for now.

The reason I hate her most: She's exactly who she is, and she gets a d*** HAPPY ending. Kim should've shaken her off her leg and walked away smiling. That's what Bonnie deserved. At this point, I'm hoping she's the metaphorical "red shirt" in the finale, who dies to prove the situation's serious.

Exactly how is ending up with Junior a "happy" ending?

Exactly how is ending up with Junior a "happy" ending? Hmm, finds a guy that's shallow, handsome, strong, and is loaded to boot... No, I don't see how I got "happy" from that.

All I can say without making this a rant is: I LOVE BONNIE Then post at your own risk. This is hater territory. We lock Bonnie lovers who dare to tread here in the "armor" from Cap'n Drakken.

It's clear to me that Bonnie is confident in who she is and is unwilling to change that even though she probably knows everyone hates her for it. I admire that in a person. It's the reason I like Shego so much. You admire a person who does anything to serve her own selfish agenda no matter who she hurts? Riiiiight. At least Kim goes out of her way to actually help people everyday, she's doesn't try to feed her ego 24/7. Name the last time Bonnie went out of her way for someone, a whiny brat is stilll a whiny brat no matter how you spin it. Bonnie is pretty much my least favorite character on the show. You'll notice that Kim was willing to forgive Bonnie (to an extent) after Bonnie kissed her boyfriend even though she didn't deserve it. Of course knowing you, you'll probably come up with some bs excuse saying its an example that Kim doesn't care about Ron enough because of it. Correction, she managed to cheat her way to the top (as Homecoming Queen no less). And why can't Bonnie change when we've seen other supporting characters like Wade and the tweebs evolve, what's the excuse with Bonnie? At least there's actually a reason to like Kim, with Bonnie, I have yet to have one reason to even care about her. Your reason for hating Kim is because she's not a straight up honest stereotype, and shows shades of grey, which to me makes her more interesting and more unpredictable. I hate characters who are completely 100% predictable, which Bonnie, Miss one-dimensional is.

Why are their so many people who hate Bonnie???!!! I mean we all know she's awesome! No matter how much of a b*tch she is. That's why she rocks. Theirs gotta be all kinds of characrers in a show and I think Bonnie does a heck of a job with her part as the mean girl.

I hate to interject here, but I've got to agree with shegodrakkenfan1. I've known plenty of people like Bonnie. Heck, I was the geek in high school, so I was the victim of bullying from more Bonnies than you could imagine. And yet, I still like Bonnie the character. Because to me, she is just a misguided teenage soul. There are much worse people out there than her. And I know, because I've met some of those people as well. And trust me, after I met true evil people, my hatred for the Bonnies in my life faded away in an instant. Disagree with me if you want, but I'm just offering my personal account.

People like Bonnie are used to having things a particular way, and when they don't get it, they use underhanded means in order to achieve it. It's going a little overboard to say that there's a little of Bonnie in the criminals and tax cheats (among many others) in the world...but, at this point, what does it matter? She's not a good person. Deal with it.
