I, personally, like the new look. After 5 years (2 in the KP universe) it was time for KP's wardrobe to get an update.

Well I'm going to throw this one out here.. after all Science Fiction has now become .. Science fact for Kim Way back in the 1940's well before TV , there was a comic artist by the name of Chester Gould.. and in fact one of his most popular Cartoon Strips was in fact a Crime Fighter by the name of Dick Tracyand Tracy had tech back then that would boggle the mind of any 1940's school boy (or school girl..) We're talking here about "The Wrist Radio.." so a lot of folks think that the new idea for Kim's wrist Kimmunicator is too far fetched? Think again... I was doing a search for the Old Wrist Radio.. and guess what I found? A Wrist worn.. Personal Computer... (it's called the Eurotech Zypad..) So then, think about this... what if Kim's new wrist Kimmunicator is one of these type of devices.. a friend of mine commented that tech usually starts off for the elite and rich.. I mean Books, Computers, and what not.. Yet it all eventually trickles down to the normal everyday school boy and girl... so think about this.. this is what change gets you.. a new look at thinking.. after all that Dick Tracy Wrist radio isn't science fiction anymore.. it's now science fact.. and in fact.. here's a thought.. Kim's one of the first Crimefighters (like Tracy) to get a new device...) oh these times, they be a changing..and look what you get with Change... Tucsoncoyote--

Just to add....I like this look! She looks really hot there! However, Kim looks older in that pic, like she's in her 20s. I'm hoping they would save this look for future productions (i.e. College days), assuming Disney would renew KP for another season. *cross fingers*

Kim's not getting older with age... but rather.. she's getting better. But yeah I mean can you imagine what Kim would look like in her 20's or even 30's? (I believe Iveymae457 once did a look of Ron as he aged.. maybe someone should do one of Kim..) Just a thought.. Tucsoncoyote--

It was meant to be included in the "ASiT" DVD (in the "Simulation" thing), but was rejected by Disney. Too bad he can't share the pic with us (for legal reasons). Sigh!

I don't much care for it though... erm....according to Steve, that's Kim at 60 (she looks pretty hot for a 60 year old, don't you think?). Gimme a sec, I have to search Steve's reply to my question about Kim's pic at 30 (this may take some time, coz I've asked him several months ago!!!). EDIT : YOU WANT THE TRUTH? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH! (Bonus points for those who can catch that reference.)Here's Steve's post back in June 2006 (9 months ago! ) : Wow!
I gotta admit, I'm amazed at how much attention these drawings got.
Okay, here's the story-
The dvd folks asked us to do a series of drawings of Kim, Ron and Rufus at age 1, 30 and 60. Mark, Bob and I talked it over and decided to do something funny. I mean, who knows, maybe one day we would do these characters at age 60. We did not want to commit to something serious in the timeline. Mark came up with the Dr. Director idea and Kim taking over Global Justice at some point. The eyepatch was a salute to Marvel Comics agent Nick Fury. Everybody just take it easy, it was just a joke. The one thing I'm really disappointed with, is the fact that they DID NOT use the drawings I did of Kim, Ron and Rufus at age 30. They looked super-cool. Ron was not fat and Kim looked like Jessica Alba in Dark Angel. I was pretty proud of those drawings.
Thanks. Link : ASIT Totally Awesome Tempus Simius Simula Pics? Also, my question to Steve in the "Ask the VIPs" was answered (it's now in the "Steve Loter Interviews (Transcripts)" thread) : Link : Steve Loter Interviews (Transcripts)

She didn't have to get them all of Club Banana. Anyway we are not sure that she got them there. She did shop other stores. She could get her normal clothes at CB but her mission clothes from somewhere else. Well, knowing Kim, she would want her clothes from Club Banana no matter what. She wouldn't shop at Smarty Mart, which sells the same clothes. She had wanted to continue wearing the same mission clothes, she might have checked Smarty Mart for any extras. (shrug) Anyway, I look forward to what her (and Ron's) new mission uniform looks like. Having the same uniforms for 3 years tend to be dull, so it's time she trade up for something better.

I'm gonna make this simple and sweet.
I agree with what tucsoncoyote said.
Change is a good thing, and we need it. When I discussed the finale of season 4 with my mother recently, I was lamenting on something (aliens if you must know) and what was my mother's reply? "Well, they gotta spice it up somehow." And I think tucs hit it RIGHT on the freaking nail with the best hammer of all time. I mean, the show would get incredibly boring a la Simpsons if we didn't change up things and stuff. I mean, yes, I'll be sad to see the traditional mission outfit go, but... as tucs said, with this season EVERYTHING changed. So why not the mission outfit too?
And one more thing...
I think this is comparable to the hoopla caused by the new animation and stuff of ADJL season 2. A lot of the fans there freaked, some even deserted. I hope this is not the case with KP, but the way I see it: either you take what the show gives you and keep your mouth shut or you do not call yourself a fan. A real fan should be able to take the change, take what season 4 is giving us without question. You wanna know why? Look at how hard we fought to get season 4. It's a miracle that we got it! You should appreciate it.
As for me, it doesn't matter where, it doesn't matter when, I will always be there for Kim till the very end (yes, I just paraphrased the Call Me Beep Me movie mix!) No matter what, I'll be loyal to Kim forever, that won't change. I owe her that.

Well, good thing that those pictures were rejected by Disney. Kim, Ron and Rufus looked horribles!!!. Well the ones rejected by Disney haven't been seen by anybody outside production... and if Steve says they were great I'm willing to bet they were ;D

I think tusconcoyote misses an essential point.
It's not that we're opposed to Kim getting a new look per se (did you see all of us bashing the supersuit?), it's that we're opposed to the speicific new look that, from the wallpapers, Kim might be getting.
We all like Kim's old "mission" look. She looks good in it, and the black-and-green quasi-military/commando look fits in well with her missions. Now, I will admit that the purple and grey mission wear does seem to fit in better with "civilian life" than the traditional outfit, but I'd still prefer the old black-and-green.
As for the new mission outfit, while the style itself could look nice, I'm not too wild about the color scheme. Purple may look good on the Gadgetesque wrap, but it doesn't seem "mission moide" to me. And the pants ... why grey? They'd look much better if they were black.
Personally, if I were Kim and I wanted mission gear that could be acceptably worn in "civilian" life, I'd go for something in earth tones.
