NightSpade, I can tell you just want to argue.
You contradict what I say, then turn right around and try to take my argument to claim for your own.
Yes concept will not be original in many story lines.
* * * * *
Let's try it your way, give me three shows that's original today, with the last three years.
* * * * * Oh, and I will still stand by my statement in iCarly.
Sam is a bully and Carly will not stick up for Freddie at all.
There has been times where Sam smacks Freddie in the face HARD, to prove that she can do it. Great example for kids to treat others and how to take abuse.
* * * * *
Finally, if you're going to quote me to make your claims, use the whole thing, not just parts to twist them around.

NightSpade, I can tell you just want to argue. You contradict what I say, then turn right around and try to take my argument to claim for your own. Please elaborate. Yes concept will not be original in many story lines. * * * * * I'm glad we agree. Let's try it your way, give me three shows that's original today, with the last three years. * * * * * Dollhouse, Heroes, Lost. Oh, and I will still stand by my statement in iCarly. Sam is a bully and Carly will not stick up for Freddie at all. There has been times where Sam smacks Freddie in the face HARD, to prove that she can do it. Great example for kids to treat others and how to take abuse. * * * * * Apparently slapstick is an unappreciated art. Finally, if you're going to quote me to make your claims, use the whole thing, not just parts to twist them around. My dear Joe, you seem to be confused. Please go back and re-read my post, you'll find that I DID use your entire quote. Like this post, I merely broke what you said into segments to better respond to your individual arguments.

Lost is original? It has clearly ripped ideas from dozens of classic books ("The Time Machine", "Gulliver's Travels", "Walkabout", "Lord of the Flies" and Asimov's Foundation trilogy are the ones that jump out), and either used or had the same sources as several scifi stories ("Space:1999 - Rules of Luton", "Doctor Who, Hartnell Era - The Ark", "Doctor Who, Troughton era - The Macra Terror", "Doctor Who, Tom Baker era - The Armageddon Factor", "Star Trek - A Piece of the Action", "Blake's 7 - Duel", "Blake's 7 - Sand"). I see bugger all that's original. You might, and that's fine, but don't be telling me what's not derivative unless you've the evidence to back it.
