I'm sorry I didn't reply to your post quicker (as in the same week.) Terrible human being. Thanks. I'm going to take a wild guess at your identity and go with... " RedBlueGreen"? Bah, my secret is out. Thanks for reviewing The Monster. Have you had a look at my other fics? Yes, all but the one rated M. You're a pretty good writer! The Monster was my favorite, though. Thank you very much! ;D

I just finished Chapter 9- more emotion, but not quite angst. Hopefully it'll get better down the road! Bonus: Freaky dream sequence! Edit: Just uploaded Chapter 7! Read it! Read, I command it!

For lack of a better term, BOOYAH!!!

Just added Chapter 9. I only have one more chapter in reserve! Maybe I'll get off my lazy bum and start writing some more tonight...

I'm done! *dances around in ecstasy* That's right, folks. The twelfth chapter is written and waiting, and I am done! Large time gap between Chapter 11 and Chapter 12 (both fairly short chapters), but... It's been a great run. Can't wait to hear you guys' thoughts on it. Edit: Counted the words out; altogether the story (including the author's notes and disclaimers) will be about 12,391 words long.

I'll review when I've read, and read when I'm over today's RL faffing. Something I'll look forward to. Yes, all but the one rated M. You're a pretty good writer! The Monster was my favorite, though. I forgot I'd rated "Gone Rongo" as M. I think I was overcautious, so I've dropped it to T.

You wrote Gone Rongo? I love that story man! Also, Doneatcowman, your story is also great, and I can't wait to see how you wrap it up.

You wrote Gone Rongo? I love that story man! Thank you! It seems to be my most-hit story. (But not most reviewed, not that I can complain about that.)

CHAPTER 12!!! ;D I am feeling all of the above emotions as I bring my story to a close exactly one month and one day after its beginning. Ron's come so far! The elusive ending is now in sight and available! So, any thought, comments, flames, etc.? And thanks to everyone *coughTropercough* who came here to review. This might not have gotten off the ground without support.

Updated the name of the thread, but had to eliminate a space... Spell-check will haunt me in my sleep, but at least the word's out.

Well, I think so, unless you're actually saying "Review, dammit!" I'm writing a review right now. It's a really interesting story and I like your style. I haven't finished reading it yet, but I'm wondering if it's the sort of story where someone get a magical friend (a robot or AI, an alien, a time traveller, a fictional character) who is a bit of a nuisance but helps to sort their life out, like Weird Science or Disney's The Kid. "Serious Physics" is different in being from the other perspective but I thought we might find out that not-Fred is a big KP fan, or used to be in simpler, happier times, so his fairy godmother takes the form of Ron. (I'll paste that into the relevant chapter review.)

Well, I think so, unless you're actually saying "Review, dammit!" I'm writing a review right now. Nope, meant it as a compliment. I didn't think of it that way... Not quite a fairy-godmother persona for Not-Fred, but Ron managed to befriend him (which is a feat in itself). Not-Fred's not a KP fan because I wanted this to be Realistic, and although there are several adult male KP watchers, the vast majority probably aren't. Simpler, happier times? He used to have a girlfriend who wasn't really right for him anyway, but he thrives on habit. The change, more than anything, disoriented him and made him even more sour then usual. Thanks for the review, Troper! I'm really glad you like the story.

Very funny ;D but too bad the ending is kinda short to explain a long plot

Very funny ;D but too bad the ending is kinda short to explain a long plot Thank you. I rather think of the ending as an epilogue of sorts to give the story some closure- the real story is Ron adapting to life in the real world until he feels secure there, barring the one thing he eventually gets.
