I have a category I'd like to mention... How about the "best mystery story"? After all, isn't half of what a spy does is figure out mysteries? I seriously doubt all villains will be so obvious and easy to figure out before they even make their move. If you've watched a Bond film, you know what I'm talking about.

Anyway I really hope that *I* am up for a nomination this year. I've written a lot of stories this year and really want to at least be mentioned.

I also thought of another category. How about "Best Holiday Story"? Meaning that you could rate stories that were the best for holidays like Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas, etc.

I would like to nominate some of my KP stories for the 'novel' area as well (everyone who reads my stuff knows I write LONG stories anyway) Stories such as "KP All Grown Up v20: Future Stoppable" which I finished not too long ago at 59 chapters.

I've done Christmas stories as well like "Yes, there is a Santa Ronnie" that should get a look.

I did a Halloween one like, "A New Halloween Tail"

I am working on a mystery story titled "Where is Kim Possible?" as well.

Hm... sorry that I don't have this straight; it's my first time here. How are the top 3 chosen? This is just the nomination round and not actual voting, correct? The two terms are used so interchangeably...

Well for this first phase, you can nominate ANY story in any category you feel is appropriate. Any story from your list of faves.

If said story gets enough nominations, it might make the top three for phase two. If for example, the 'Best Kigo Story' had 10 different stories nominated by 50 different people with Story A getting 10 nominations, Story B getting 8 nominations, story C getting 5 nominations, and stories D, E, F, G, H and I getting two nominations each respectively, then stories A, B and C would make it to phase 2, while the others would be dropped, not having beaten out any of the other tales.

Then voters would have a poll thread for Best Kigo category, in which they could vote for the overall winner among stories A, B and C.

Hope that clarifies. And I hope it's not too late to nominate!

Ah, I see! I didn't have a shadow of an idea that that was the case, but it certainly makes sense. I truly hope that mine get enough traffic to make it there, but if not, at least I was nominated. High hopes! And I'm pretty sure yours'll get far, if not win, Slyrr. Luck to all. Thanks for clearing that up. I know I've been asking the most questions on this thread. And my nominations are already in, so all I can do is twiddle my thumbs and cross my fingers!

I am hoping that you could write an acceptance speech for your nomination in case you win as well as provide a clip of your choosing from that nomination.

I understand the acceptance speech part. What does the 'clip' part mean? Am I being asked to provide a chunk of fanart pertaining to my story? Or just a writing snippet?

I'm kind of a 'don't do anything until the night before the assignment's due' type...I'll probably forget about it anyway D:

They want a selection from the story being nominated to post as a 'clip'. If this were the oscars, it would be the part where they show a short 'scene' from the movie which is up for an award, so the audience can see how awesome it is

Pick a scene that you think compliments your tale the best....

Yeah, no offense, Slyrr, but about the original character name category... I propose that one author cannot have more than one work in the running for one award. You could fix this by:
A) Putting the rivaling works to vote
B) Simply asking the author which they would consider more appropriate for the award, or
C) Choosing the most-nominated in the category by that particular author, then putting it against the two others most voted for.

Because the polls are rather time-consuming for a fair vote, I would advise one of the last two. Other ideas would be workable as well!

Remember I'm not the only choice in each category - if you feel you like another persons' work better! In the 'Best Villain' category, the choices for both "Team Probable" and "Grimm Probable" are available. But this happened last year too - and an equal amout of people voted for both "Team" and "Grimm". It split the votes and reducted the overall tally, meaning they were both defeated! So this year, just vote "Grimm Probable", since a vote for Grimm is a vote for the team!
