And now a sneak peek at the frist episode of my new fic series "Kim Possible: The Solo Missions."
--
Kim pulled up in front of the Stoppable home and turned the car off. She fixed Ron with a serious look. "You ready?"
Ron closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "Okay, ready."
They exited the car and dashed up the walkway to the front door. They flattened themselves against the wall on either side of the door. Kim leaned in and listened.
"I don't hear anything." she reported.
"It's gotta be a trap." Ron replied. "No sound means it's a trap."
"Could be nobody's there."
"Not a chance," Ron said, "Remember Easter?"
"Oh yeah. The Peeps Incident." Kim frowned. "Okay, I'll go high, you go low."
"Check." Ron cracked his knuckles and placed his hand on the doorknob. "One...two...THREE!"
Ron threw the door open and ducked down into the doorway, giving Kim the chance to leapfrog over him and into the air. Once Kim was airborne, Ron rolled forward through the foyer and into the living room, flattening himself behind the couch.
Meanwhile, Kim flew through the air and landed on the staircase. She quickly scanned the area, then leaped over the banister, into the living room and crouched down behind the couch next to Ron.
"That was too easy." she said, peering up over the back of the couch.
"Yeah," Ron agreed. "This is feeling way too trappish."
"Still not a word, but accurate." Kim took a quick glance around the living room. "I'm gonna make a break for the kitchen."
Ron grabbed her arm. "Are you nuts? That's the best place to set an ambush!"
"Look, if we're going to get through this, we're going to have to take some risks. Stay here, be ready as back up." Kim took off her coat, and placed her hands on the back of the couch. She took a deep breath. "I'm going for it."
Kim vaulted over the couch, flipped through the air, handsprung off the coffee table and shot through the doorway leading to the kitchen. She landed on her feet, slightly crouched, scanning the area.
There was a scuttling sound behind her, and Kim saw movement out of the corner of her eye. She spun around, trying to find the source. There was nothing behind her.
Oh crap, I fell for it. Kim thought as her eyes widened. There was a high pitched shriek and Kim was tackled to the ground.
"Ron, I'm hit!"
"I'm coming, KP!" Ron got up from behind the couch and dashed into
the kitchen. "Okay, nobody move!"
He was struck in the forehead with a high velocity Oreo and fell backwards back into the living room. "OW!"
"Ron! I'm comi-eeeeeehehehehehHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Kim's cries were cut off as the three year old girl who had tackled her to the ground and was sitting on her stomach began tickling her. "HAHAHAHAHA Ha..Hana, stop! I give! I give!"
Hana Stoppable, Ron's adopted younger sister, giggled and leaned over, hugging Kim tightly around her neck. "Kimmie!" she cried happily.
Kim managed to sit up and returned Hana's hug. "Jeez, kid, you're getting heavy. What are they feeding you?"
Hana looked quizzical for a moment, then reached into the front bib pocket of the overalls she was wearing. She held up a broken Oreo.
"Cookies!" she pronounced.
"Well, that would explain it." Kim said. She wrapped her arm around Hana and got to her feet. "Let's go see if you've given your brother a concussion again."
"Owwwww..." came a weak groan from the living room. Kim and Hana looked at each other and giggled.
