John DiMaggio who plays the Doc on Kp will voice the Joker in the upcoming DC original movie Batman: Under the Hood. After so many actors playing and voicing the most evil comic book villain of all time, i wonder how the guy who plays the bumbling Drakken will do. Good possibly, but Heath, Jack and Mark are all the top dogs in "Jokerdome".

No disrespect for DiMaggio, of course I enjoyed his portrayal of Toyman in Superman: Doomsday, but I'm a huge fan of Mark Hamill's Joker voice. With him voicing the killer clown in both Batman: Arkham Asylum and Robot Chicken, I was kind of disappointed when I found out he wouldn't be returning for Under the Hood. Whateves, a Batman movie is a Batman movie. It will still be worth watching... ...Even if the only reason it's worth watching is to remind ourselves of how laughably hard Hollywood can fail.

Good possibly, but Heath, Jack and Mark are all the top dogs in "Jokerdome". John's had some other types of roles: 1. Aquaman in Batman The Brave and The Bold: An optimistic muscle bound hero who eagerly awaits the next mission. 2. Bender in Futurama: An intelligent yet immoral robot who would rob you in your sleep. And worse, he's easily imitatable (If you've seen the show, you'll get what I mean by that). 3. Hammerhead in The Spectacular Spider-Man: His least recognizable voice and plays a serious, competant right hand man to Tombstone.

Bender shouldn't be allowed on TV.

Of all the "Justice League" direct to DVD PD13 movies, only two we really any good.
Superman Doomsday
and
Batman Superman "Public Enemies"
The others felt they were phoned in, trying to "push the envelope" more than anything else.
Batman: Gotham Knight was the worst, I never even finished watching it. Most of the time I felt they were just firing bullets to eat up film.

Hmm. Gotham Knight, I think, was more a response to the Nolan movies. I think it was meant to be a film like The Matrix: Reanimated: a series of shorts based on movie source material gone down side streets the movie never explored. Very different from the Justice League shows. Almost apples and oranges.

I wasn't comparing it to the JL, I just didn't find it entertaining.
The scene where several gang members just opened fire on A car or Batman or whatever, went on for too long and I completely lost interest and turned off the DVD player.
I'm not saying I'm the end all be all on this, just saying I found it boring.
The "Batman the Animated Series" was A fantastic show, and A very high bar to exceed.
I bet DiMaggio will do a great job as the Joker, I just not sure I'm buying this DVD.
Oh, and I'll bet that the Under the Hood will be one of the characters what was Robin one time in their life.

Superman Doomsday and Batman Superman "Public Enemies" The others felt they were phoned in, trying to "push the envelope" more than anything else. What?! New Frontier and First Flight were amazing! Wonder Woman was so-so, though that scene where she killed Aries was pretty kick ass. And Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths was made of of 100% freshly squeezed fangasm. Hmm. Gotham Knight, I think, was more A response to the Nolan movies. I think it was meant to be A film like The Matrix: Reanimated: A series of shorts based on movie source material gone down side streets the movie never explored. Very different from the Justice League shows. Almost apples and oranges. I think I remember one of the commentaries stating that it was intended to bridge the two movies (Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.) Oh, and I'll bet that the Under the Hood will be one of the characters what was Robin one time in their life. Oh yeah, just watch the sneak peak on the Crisis DVD. They spend the first half talking about how The Joker killed Jason Todd (Robin #2, fans called in during a special poll during the original run of the comic to see if he'd live or die and voted him dead, then they raged about it because it was either too gruesome or they didn't actually think DC would go trough with it... they did). Then the other half of the DVD just talks about 'who is the Red Hood? He's someone with a grudge! He's got a past with Batman! He's out to get the Joker!' Two and two equal Jason Todd.

I'm still waiting on them to do the one that was mentioned when these got started and yet has been done. Teen Titans:The Judas Contracts. See the real Terra (that could be why, the bucktoothed terror that she was, not to mention was a chain smoker, and Deathstroke (slade Wilson) was a pedo in that in a way)
Still I still need to Superman/Batman, Crisis on Two Earths and well that's it I think. If Cartoon Network would quit airing crap and air these flicks I'd be happy.
On fav Joker, yep still Hamill, heck when I read anything with the Joker in it I hear his voice.
Keep us updated though on what will be next in their dtv line up.

Trust me man, the DVD releases are leagues (pun painfully intended) ahead of the CN cuts that air edited for content. The SM:Doomsday fight... dear god, they removed almost all of it.

Oh I know, I own Superman/Doomsday still I'm just tired of seeing "Son of the Mask" and others so much when there are some good ANIMATED movies to air instead of the MTV style stuff. (meaning not what the channel is material)

I know, Cartoon Network really needs to lay off the Live Action crap and stick to the cartoons.

Blame it on who runs it now. Why put a person who doesn't like cartoons at the head of a network that is all Cartoons.
It's Bizarro World Tactics I tell yeah.

Well the DVD went on sale yesterday, I'm thinking about buying it.
One of the things I loved about Gotham Knight was that Kevin Conroy, the same VA who voiced Batman in the DCAU for all you non-nerds out there, voiced Batman. Anyone know if this is true of Under the Red Hood? I doubt I'll not get the movie just because of Kevin Conroy not being a part of it, but I'd still like to know what I should be expecting.

No Kevin is NOT the Bat in this one either.
He was in Batman Superman "Public Enemies" with Kevin Conroy, Tim Daly, Clancy Brown, the best of them all.
I too am not sure if I'm buying it.
I was excited for the Crisis on Two Earths but I just felt they all "phoned it in."
The only reason for me to buy the latest this week would be Best Buy has it on sale. I'll sleep on it.
