i liked Star Wars...since I came here and was bombed with zillions of Star Wars quotes. liked. Hmm...past tense. Does that mean you don't currently like it? Yep. I mean, I can watch it but I'm far away of being a fan of it. Or would squeal if it's on TV. |

I love Star Wars, it's great... but in general I prefer the Star Trek universe. The SW movies monkey stomp the ST movies though, I just like the ST universe a little better.

There are certain things in ST that I like but I've been personally raised to love the sight of a lightsaber and the X-wing. |

There are certain things in ST that I like but I've been personally raised to love the sight of a lightsaber and the X-wing. In fact, the Trekkie mindset and the SW mindset can live in harmony within the same head. Anywho, I'm with trombe in saying the lightsaber and X-Wing are friggin' awesome, and the Force/Jedi/Sith thing is a fun concept... but I tend to lean a little more towards SciFi than Fantasy, and SW has the fantasy factor to it that ST doesn't have. But like I said, if I want to sit down and watch movies give me SW anyday. I confuse myself once in a while, so if this doesn't make since, sorry. |

I have been fan of Star Wars since I saw the first movie the year it came out. I was 16 at the time. I had been seeing the previews and thought this ought to be interesting. Well, the rest is history.

Trek has lost all of its luster while Star Wars is still going strong, hell Star Wars was a massive hit the moment it came out, Trek didn't become a mainstream hit until it was cancelled and syndicated

Okay...I REALLY hated episodes 1 and 2. I love all of the others. But most of the video games don't do it justice (save KOTOR, of course....that game is happiness in disk form. ^_^)
BTW, I'm also a trekkie. Wookies and tribbles should be able to live in harmony. ^_^

I'm a big fan, though I'm RARELY obsessed with it. It's an awesome series, with awesome characters (both good and evil) and unforgettable moments.

I don't consider myself a fan, but I for one enjoyed the first three movies when I first saw them on the big screen way back then. They were exciting and fun!  Just don't count me as one who enjoy the prequels. I didn't like them and I truly did not like Lucas revamping the original three to fit the prequels. I didn't mind the Special Edition revamps, but the second revamp to make Anakin's younger self take the spot of the original older Anakin in RotJ was a cop-out to me. |
