I'm sitting here at my house waiting for my book and I'm like, "is it coming or isn't."
I really do hate the UPS.
But, then again, I live in a city of 300,000 people so, I'm sure the UPS guy is going everywhere today. I just want my book.

I have mine and am on chapter 6 now... I read the first few pages or so very quickly, taking it all in, sort of in awe of the book, a bit afraid of what might happen, and then sped up.
I'm glad it's a long book, I don't want to get through it too quickly.

I gotta admit, as I wait for my copy to come to my house, I'm excited but at the same time I am completely terrified.
My poor stomach/abdomen area.

I meant to say, I went through the first few pages slowly, not quickly.
But it's almost impossible to keep reading slowly, it's just like I need to know what happens next.
Ash, I felt exactly like that before I got it and for like the first 20 minutes of actually having it. It's also a slight temptation to skip ahead - but I won't give into that.

I remember accidentally seeing the end of Order of the Phoenix and seeing the last line about the Dursleys walking in his wake. I saw the word "wake" and I assumed that the Dursleys died because, wake is like funeral/death related.
God, I hate the wait..

Random question, do the guys who live in Asia get the British cover? Yeah. I got the Adult version with Salazar Slytherin's locket on it. The the child version was also available. We always tend to get the ones directly from Britain first ... after awhile, then we start bringing in the US versions. I've just completed the first 5 Chapters of the book .. and the story gets intense already! It's just five chapters and someone died .. Gah! I'm saying too much ..

As long as you don't reveal the names of anybody who dies. If you do, I'll be forced to fly to Singapore and make your death an agonizing one.
Not really, I couldn't afford the plane tix to Singapore but... yeah...

I'm disappointed with this book in that it's slightly shorter than Goblet of Fire. I wanted it to be double the size! ;D But when you read it, it somehow seems longer. Even if I hadn't deliberately stretched it out for three days. And ye gods, ABL - hope you get it soon! I bet you're regretting not getting it early at the bookshop

I've always had this grand fantasy of the final book.
I wanted it to be 2000 pages long.
And yet, I think, "how on EARTH would I finish that?"
The Bible is half that and I've never finished that!

When I first got my hands on Order of the Phoenix, I was amazed by how big it was. Up until then, there had been a trend that each book was bigger than the last. Then Half Blood Prince came along, and it had less pages than Goblet of Fire! And it's the same for Deathly Hallows. Here in Britain, HBP and DH have the same amount of pages. So it goes something like P/SS > COS > POA > HBP > DH > GOF > OOTP

OOTP is the 2nd longest book I've ever read, and GOF is the thrird longest book.
The longest book I've ever read was actually around the time I found Harry Potter, in late 2001, in which I read Gone With the Wind. 1000 pages, took 10 days.

Lucky you... Amazon.co.uk is not that fast serving their product overseas... But I can wait... It cost me 12€ buying it online and in the shops it costs about 29€. Patience, patience... BUAAAAA!!!

Yeah, I'm five chapters in as well. I had to take a little break because I have a short attention span, but I can't wait to start reading again! The book rocks so far!

In my opinion, the first chapter was the most shocking first chapter ever.
Really sets the tone of the book, eh?
