Just wondering if anyone finds themselves attracted to people of certain races/ethnicities and/or certain skin tones, hair colors and so forth.
Me, I'm attracted to girls with brown skin and dark hair, putting Hispanics, Asians, and (dark-skinned) Indians on the top of my list. I also like brunettes and redheads, thought I don't really find blondes or blacks (as "of African descent) all that attractive.
I don't mean to sound racist, as I'm not judging (or asking anyone to judge) the intelligence, humanity etc. of blacks, blondes or any other type of person, just those kinds of people you're attracted to, (if you have any inclinations one way or another.)

I'm a white girl and I've always been attracted the most to Asians, Indians, and Whites. I think Asian men tend to be the best looking of all to me... I like their straight black hair and the shape of their eyes, and their somewhat smaller height and body size. Especially Korean men tend to have the cutest faces too, out of all the Asians. To me, anyway.

 I command you to melt, Drakkenfan! Yeah, certain ethnicities are definately more appealing to people the others. It's not racism at all. It's just everyone has a different perception of what beautiful is. Who was the wise man, uh I mean fool, who said that 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder?' Actually, that 'old fool' was correct, the term beautiful kinda depends on the person who is defineing it.

Why would you be kissing up to a dead guy? I am curious though. Is there any theory that claims that our attraction to certain races is due to our innate desire to produce superior off-spring? Are we attracted to certain races of people because of their genes would match with ours perfectly? |

I wonder if I'm the only one on RS.net who's in an interracial marriage. Alot of people I've known over the years tended to date other races, but when it comes down to marriage people tend to marry their own race. I honestly don't know anyone except myself who is in an interracial marriage. Me and my hubby when we got married in 2002:  |

I'm not that picky, typically I have been attracted to white girls with long brown or reddish hair and dark colored eyes (of course, that is statistically speaking common in the midwest). But I have been quite taken by a few Hispanic and black women, as well as on Asian girl. And while I have never been much of a fan of blond hair (just doesn't typically attract me), the last woman that caught my eye was a blond with BEAUTIFUL blue eyes. Really, though, I'm not overly picky when it comes to descent.
I tend to look more at the eyes, doesn't matter the color, as long as they have character and depth. Nothing I can't stand more than looking into someone's eyes and not being able to see what's going on. And... well I don't mean to sound like a pig, but a toned stomach is always a good thing; not those underfed skeletons fashion magazines are raving about, but a healthy smooth firm stomach.
Back to the topic at hand: No, there is not "perfect" race, hair color, etc... for me.

I dunno, I've always had an affinity to Asian and Japanese Women, something about their hair and facial features that I really like. And also women with Red Hair too. |

I'm attracted to people with blue skin. ;D No, seriously...um, I dunno, who I'm attracted to varies a lot. I used to think my type was tall white guys with brown or black hair and brown eyes (and my boyfriend of five years turned out to be that type), but who I find attractive in the movies/TV shows/on the street varies greatly. I guess I can say that as long as they look a bit interesting to me, and not all cookie cutter underwear model, that's my type-- be it brunette, blonde, red-head, black, Asian, white, whatever. Examples-- I used to think I wasn't that into short guys or blue-eyed blonds, but then along came Spike from Buffy, who is both short, has blue eyes and is blond. And drop-dead gorgeous. ;D And has anybody seen the black guy from Blazing Saddles? Man, he's pretty!  And Michael Dorn without the Klingon make-up? Drool-worthy. ;D Red-heads? I used to have a crush on Conan O'Brien when I was fourteen. About that age, I had a thing for Jewish boys, too, for some reason-- I think it was mainly due to Jeff Goldblum.  I guess I'm sometimes a sucker for black hair and brown eyes. I also used to have a crush on Carlton from Fresh Prince of Bel Air-- of ALL people; hey, at least it wasn't Urkel *shudder*-- when I was little. He was such a dork, just like Dr. D. So cute. Out of cartoon/comic characters, though, I do seem to have a soft spot for the blue skin. Nightcrawler, Beast, Freakazoid, Drakken...woosh!  |

Well, my skin is quite light, so having kids with a dark-skinned woman would even things out. Then again, I've had crushes on white girls (and other light-skinned gals), and the reason I'm not really attracted to black girls is the way their faces are shaped or something like that, rather than their skin color per se (in case I sound racist (which I might right now), I've got nothing against black women - I just don't find them that attractive. If you're attracted to blacks, good for you.) I dunno, I sometimes wonder if I'm focusing too much on race and such, instead of the internal qualities that make one a good mate. Though, I must say that if I had to describe my "fantasy girl," she'd probably be a brown-skinned Latina lady. As for the low rate of interracial marriage, I'm wondering if that might have something to do with different cultures - an American who's white might be able to marry an American who's black, but not someone from a foreign culture or something. (I think I could handle that, if the culture's not too foreign. I've got nothing against holding a Quincinera for a daughter, or anything like that - though I don't really like beans, which might prove a problem at some meals...) I dunno. I do hope to get married sometime in the future and, God willing, that'll mean at least two people here married interracially! ;D Also, drakkenfan, I take it your hubby is Indian? Looking at your painting of him I thought he might be Arab or something, but looking at the photo is appears he's got more in common with Dehli than Damascus. *Remembers crushing on an Indian girl, especially when she wore her sari... * |

I really don't find myself attracted to any one type of person, though I do seem to be a sucker for long dark hair and dark eyes, regardless of what race of person they're attached to.
Of course, since I like dark hair and eyes, my last gf had blindingly platinum blond hair, extremely fair skin, and icy blue eyes. Kind of like Tara, I guess.
I guess I'm not that picky.

I've never restricted myself to liking a certain race. I've had the hots for guys of every creed and color ^^ I don't think I like any more than the other If they're good looking, then I'm in love ;D |
