Nope. Robot's aren't people. They're artificial things. So, no falling in love with robots for me.

Call me a little old fashioned, but robots just aren't gonna cut it for me. I don't see how they will ever truly achieve sentience, let alone the ability to comprehend/respond to emotional situations. AI has good potential for thinking, but I'm not so sure about the feeling.
Besides, if that happens, who's going to make sure the next generation comes about? Relying solely on clones and test tube procreation just doesn't sound like a good idea to me either (and it's a lot less fun).

The more I think about, the more weird and odd gets this question.

Well, I'm a firm believer that all Robots will one day turn on us and have a machine war against us a la Terminator movies so unless I wanna become one of those pregnant women who's killed by her husband (that happens a LOT), Hell no. I don't trust machines or technology, but it's a necessary evil, because unless you live a nomad life or are Amish, you have to deal with it.
I wouldn't even trust them to be my Robot Butler, much less falling in love with one. Without trust there can be no relationship.
Just you wait, we let them get smarter and they'll kill us all.

Ashley, you could take a leaf from Atton Rand's book, or Barkin's.
Regardless, it would be smart to keep Ion Grenades handy.

Can Robots even feel?
I believe Blade Runner answered that question.

Ashley, you could take a leaf from Atton Rand's book, or Barkin's. Regardless, it would be smart to keep Ion Grenades handy. I've been like that before Barkin even showed us his feelings on such. And I've seen the Terminator! You know what they do? They go to war against the humans! Humans are enslaved, killed, and there's hardly anybody left. And then when they start uprising they send the Terminator back in time to kill the mother of the guy who started the uprising! I DON'T WANT THAT TO HAPPEN IN REAL LIFE! What if I'm the mother of the rebel leader!? (I do relate to Sarah Connor) There could be a Terminator on his way to find me now! See, this is why robots are EVIL.

If they were humanoid in almost every way ala 'Battlestar Galactica' and 'Artificial Intelligence', then I don't see a problem with it ^^ Mmmm, Gigolo Joe....

lol, I imagine they'll have loverbots eventually ;D Seems like a sad idea, I know - but I imagine people wouldn't mind having them as life companions if they were as sexy and complex as a real person. Think Erik the Synthodrone, but nicer ;D And yeah, my reasons would probably be the same as Jono's, at first. They'd be awesome in the sack! But if they have depth, then they could be so much more.

Lol, let's just imagine that robots aren't out to kill us for once ;D
Think of all the safe-sex issues ;D No STD's! As for not being able to have children, hey - I'm Gay ;D And even if I was straight, there are women/men out there who're sterile ^^
