LOL... You're freaking out over a tornado watch? Try living in my area, we're under one like every other day in the summer. Gotta love Tornado Alley.

The museum windows were blown down, the back of the bus was blown upward, a transformer literally had an explosion that my Dad saw, trees were flying in the air and little kids shoes, and family membres are looking for eachother.

The museum windows were blown down, the back of the bus was blown upward, a transformer literally had an explosion that my Dad saw, trees were flying in the air and little kids shoes, and family membres are looking for eachother. That's standard fare around here, not that I want to belittle your situation, though, because it's still kinda serious. The time to worry is when the 'watch' becomes a 'warning', but even then, nothing is certain. We had at least three transformers blow during a storm just a couple days ago too. The entire county lost power for a good five or six hours. We have tornadoes around here almost constantly, and many of the small surrounding towns have suffered great damages. The closest I've been to a tornado was a few years back when one struck down about a mile or two out of town. Watching the tail fall was an amazing sight to behold. Wish we had a digital camera at the time...

As far as I know, my area hasn't had any tornado watches/warnings. All we've been having were severe T-storm warnings and flash flood watches.

I haven't really been paying much attention to those lately. Kind of don't have to though. Last summer--yea, if they'd been happening then, I was only two and a half miles north of Chicago [WI] but I'm 2000 miles away from Twister Alley now. Twas one of the reasons I moved I heard the flooding in the midwest was pretty bad. My aunt and uncle had a neighboring farm where they had to release the cows from the fields because there was no solid ground to stand on because of flooding. The middle of the country's been hit pretty bad with storms and bad weather this summer, which sucks. Especially since my sister's birthday is the 24th [tomorrow, today, depending on the time zone] and the weather supposed to be sketchy there. Hoping for the best of weather for you guys in the midwest soon, and until then--keep your feet on the ground and take shelter when you need to. ~Mara

Statement: Oh...at first I thought you were joking.
Addendum: I do not think you should be worrying too much...
