Maybe this could be moved somewhere else because the subjects overlap, but how does one go about making the little animated clips such as you see in some of the members' sigs and avatars? For example, you might see in someone's sig a 3-second clip from So the Drama.
Now, I know how to take a single screencap from an avi video, but how do you capture several frames in a row like that?

This question has been asked many times... even by me. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) There are lots of people willing to help others who want to make animated gifs. ronstoppable.proboards47.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1137291862The above thread was started very recently, and I'm sure there are some pointers on there on how to start making some simple animations. From what I know... you just need a bunch of screencaps in succession and do a quick slide show, so the file can be a .gif image which can be viewed by everyone. Jasc Animation Shop 3 does it, and so does Adobe ImageReady. Once you practice with those... making animated gifs becomes a piece of cake. I'm actually thinking about going to the library to check out some books on how to make some phat animated gifs. But school interferes with my life, so the library and my gif making must wait until summer. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png)
