To all fanartis I recently discover that someone is selling your drawings for profit. Check it out www.trademe.co.nz/Home-living/Bedroom/Other/auction-46728829.htmThis drawing you should know belong to Rich. I do not kn ow how hard it is to draw since I have no computer skill but even writting story is already hard for me. So please be careful if you are posting pic on the net. You may never know wthat you artwork will be for sale. Yami Dymlos

ROFLOL! If someone tried to sell my drawings, I would take that as a sign that the world was about to end.

That is sad. But it really doesn't effect most of us. But poor Rich.

They have a "report this listing" link at the bottom of the page but you have to register to use it.

frag his butt!
and as for the crack about it'd only affect so many artists - if it were YOUR work being taken and resold for money I think you'd have a different opinion.
no one should make money off of an artist's hard work other than the artist him/herself and those they choose to market it for them. Rich does a lot of work on his great artwork and I'd hate to see him curtail his efforts for the KP community because some nit decides to steal it.
get them, Capt...

Yeah, this isn't even the first time either. I know someone was trying to sell his stuff on ebay back in June. Maybe they figured that at least here, they wouldn't get noticed.

I try and help Rich in these matters. This is not the first time this has happened, and I report this stuff when I can find it or when someone lets me know. That is what happened this time. I was notified that this was for sale. I contacted the moderators of the website and sent them a link to Rich's website that had the pictures on it. That should take care of it. I hope. As soon as I know something I will let everyone know.

What really gets to me was how they even have a picture with Rich himself in it, how are they gonna pass that off? It's somewhat flattering yet very wrong at the same time. Well I hope this gets taken care of properly.

Well, been talking to Rich and we have tried to do something about it. BUT, the so-called moderators want all this paper work faxed not emailed to them. So basically they will most likely do nothing. I am gonna say that anyone who steals like that is nothing but a darn bastard. AM I UPSET? darn right I am upset. I know that very few of you have EVER heard or seen me in a post like this. BUT, Rich deserves better than this. Those folks protect everyone but the person who really owns the rights to the pictures. If all of you want to complain feel free to do so. If enough complaints are made maybe something will be done. I am off my rant now. Sorry for the language. But it expresses my feelings in the matter.

WEll hopefully, this will teach them a lesson. If you see properly, they even cut out the Rich's signature

Heres what everyone can do. Use the link below. Go to the bottom of the page, click on contact us. Click on inappropriate listings, then click on next. Then click on 'NO' where it says "Does this answer your question?" It will take you to a reply form. Fill it out and send it in. Tell them it is copyrighted material. Give them as much info as possible. Go for it! www.trademe.co.nz/Home-living/Bedroom/Other/auction-46728829.htm

I also threatened to tell Disney on them as well. The guy is trying to profit from copyrighted materials.

I also threatened to tell Disney on them as well. The guy is trying to profit from copyrighted materials. I figure that would probably be the bigger threat. After all won't Disney be ticked off to know someone profiting off the image of a copyrighted character. Nothing says 'NO!' like a lawyer. I'm sure the website will do something about it when the get contacted by the people who truly own KP and have the money to enforce copyright on that material. I have to admit I found the line questionable too but I can't personally relate to the artist on this one. Being a fanfiction writer if someone took my work and sold it I think I'd be too busy being depressed about Darwin theory of Natural Selection failing yet again. After all what idiot would buy a fanfiction story they can just as easily grab off the web. Though I'll admit I support you artist on keeping your work protected. Go after the little **** and get him good!

Already filled it out, this is just ludicrous, I got a bad feeling deep in the pit of my stomach when I saw that page, which is why I was hesitant to go back on there, seeing the same pics Rich drew and posted on his webpage on some person's auction page, the "Get your Children's Name on it" ticks me off even more.
It's like they think they can get away with stealing someone's hard work, editing it just a little and putting it up for sale, it's enough to make anyone angry, even if they don't know the victim artist.

I don't know about you guys... but I've never heard of TradeMe.com
I've heard of Ebay.com... and they have a very strict policy on copyrighted material. They remove those types of listings very quickly.
I also filled out that form and expressed my anger towards that particular listing. If we all report it and say that its infringing on someone's copyright... maybe they'll actually do something about it then.
Hopefully this'll end up with having kiwigalnz1's account disabled and titled with a "No Longer a Registered User" like Ebay does to people who violate the rules.

I actually tried to register so I could more formally lodge a complaint. But I was not allowed to as only New Zelanders are allowed to enter the site. This site is only for that country only apparently. Let's hope they will do the right thing but I am not holding my breath.
