Rocket, that's PERFECTION! It looks just like the real thing! And omg, amazing first try at photoshop! Mine was very similar! I can tell you're gonna be going places. You've mastered lineart and coloring, bravo! If you grasp that, then the rest is easy peasy! ;D

You've mastered lineart and coloring, bravo! If you grasp that, then the rest is easy peasy! ;D Thanks! ^_^ I'm okay with lineart, took me about 20 minutes to get used to the Pen Tool, thanks to an awsome tutorial on DA. The coloring thing.. I actually didn't know what to do, so I just messed around a bit. I've ended up using that Magic Rod thingy. It actually worked. I'll do many many more pics in the future, the whole linart and coloring thing is fun! I've planned to do the "juvinated" Monkey Fist from ASiT. I drew him on paper already, just need to scan him.

You should master the dropper tool, that way - you can get the colors the same too! Just steal the colors from a screencap and you're all set.

I tried to use the dropper tool, but I just couldn't manage to get the right colours out of the screen cap. They are either way to dark or greyish. drakkenfan: yep, my first try with PS, but thanks to this tutorial I got used to the pen tool very quickly.

PS can be very intimidating to those who are just starting. You went out and found tutorials and set to work. That's just what you need to be a good artist- the will to learn and improve. Keep up the good work and great effort!

Ditto on that. My gawd, I felt like a caveman in an operating theater when I first used Photoshop. Self-discovery of stuff didn't take me very far at all. Online tutorials are a godsend.

Looks like a good excercise to get the hold of photoshop. Someday I got to get over my resistance to reading instructions and try out turorials. Anyways, everything looks solid. ^^

Omg, Francis <3 Niiiice job. That's your first try!? I've used Photoshop since the days of version 4.0, and I still can't for the life of me use that pen tool ;D Wonde what version it was introduced, anyway... That is a great tutorial though, thanks for the link. And it's nice to know it produces results! I love your drawing. Draw more!

But I've already drawn some pictures, I just don't have the time to scan and PS them.

I'm still trying to figure out how to use Photoshop ... I haven't got a single clue on how to even colour stuff with it! But still, that's just awesome for a first try! Now make a full picture and show off your true potential!
