All righty, so I got the idea to do something slightly different fan art wise. I plan on telling a story solely through a series of pictures. No dialogue, just pics and maybe a paragraph or two clarifying what's happening in it. Timewise, this will be taking place during Kim and Ron's first year of college. For the purposes of this story, they are attending the same college. One last little note, I want to make it absolutely clear that I have been plotting this out for about a month and it in no way, shape, or form, has ANYTHING to do with the recent events at Virginia Tech, nor will it be reflecting any of the vents therein, or of the events of the film from which the logo in the title page was taken from. That said...here's the title page. --- TAG logo ©1982 TAG Productions. --Erin M.

Allright Shallow, that's it.. What are you using to draw? Seriously, i need to know. Okay, the basic drawing I do with good ol' fashioned pencil and paper, then I scan it into my computer, and pretty much up until recently I've been using ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5.5 for inking and coloring. However, in the case of this pic, I just got a copy of Photoshop 5.5 and used it for most of the major coloring. I still haven't gotten the hang of the pen tool yet, and I'm not overly crazy about PS's penicl tool so pretty much I outlined Kim in ArcSoft, then switched over to PS for the major coloring and text. Oh, and the background I did in ArcSoft, but that was before I realized that PS also had a gradient fill feature. The TAG logo is a scan from the VHS box that I cut and pasted into the pic. As far as the physical tools I'm working with, I'm just using a mouse, and may I add that I'm doing it with my off hand, hence some of the squiggleness of the lines. --Erin M.

That's hence ALL the squiggliness.. Ya gotta stop with the mouse, seriously~ Also, right click on the pencil tool and select the airbrush, it's a much cleaner tool, as it supports antialiasing. And if your not gonna make it a point to go out and get a tablet or something, then please take the time to learn how to use that pen tool.. Now, aside from technique, lemme see your original sketch.

And if your not gonna make it a point to go out and get a tablet or something, then please take the time to learn how to use that pen tool.. Now, aside from technique, lemme see your original sketch. You know, I REALLY don't care for your tone. I realize everybody's gone ga ga over your artwork, myself included, but you're starting to come off as a real snot here. Allow me to explain something to you, I'm 30 years old, with a full time job, divorced and making child support payments. I do not have the cash to go out and spend on a tablet. Trust me, if I could, I'd be spending the 2500 bucks it would cost to get one of the REALLY nice "draw on the actual screen" ones that I use at work. Secondly, this is exactly why I hesitated in even answering your question, because somehow I KNEW this kind of harrassment was going to come. I realize you're probably trying to help, but frankly, the tone you're using comes off as arrogant and demanding, like I've offended you that my art doesn't meet your expectations. I certainly don't want to antagonize you, as you do seem like a pretty decent guy, but your tone in this last message REALLY rubs me the wrong way, so no, I don't think I'll be posting the original sketch at the present time, thanks. And yes, I have tried the tutorials and they make no darn sense to me. Sorry. Oh yes, and I do want to point out that I'm fine with anyone who doesn't like it. Nobody has to kiss my butt over it or anything, I know it isn't perfect. --Erin M.

I'm sure Vicious didn't mean to have a 'tone'. He's very adement about art is all. But aside from the little bit of havoc above... I think it's a nice idea. Kim's anatomy could use some work, but I'm sure the same could be said to any KP artist. She's a tricky character I'd gladly offer tips and such on Photoshop too, if you ever need it <3

yeah allright, i apologize for coming off so mean with it. Perhaps a couple too many Noe's >.>; And i understand your position and all, I just feel like you got plenty of potential, and i just wanna help.. Overall i don't think theres much else i can say that you probably don't already have figured out.
To be honest, i can't stand it when people go 'ga ga' over my art. It's the entire reason i don't bother coloring things.. Why put so much more work into it if nobody's gonna say anything but 'omg that's awesome!"? It's just, very few people ever really deliver any actual, helpful criticism, and any kinda post that inolves it could be taken as rude, but that's half the risk of it. I personally always enjoy it when theres somebody to bag on my art, but i dunno, i think i'm just competitive that way.

I wasn't in the best of moods when I read your comments. I realize you're trying to help, but when I'm in a bad mood and it seems like somebody is ordering me around, I tend to take it more personally than I should. I'm experimenting with the pen tool, but it's uphill work, I still can't get it to do what I want. So there will probably be squiggles in the first couple of TAG pics before I get the hang of it. --Erin M.

FWAP! "OWWWW!" Kim sighed as she returned the dart gun to her pocket, and walked across the quad to where her would be assassin was sprawled on the grass. The guy was about a year or so older than her, and looking embarassed about being taken out by the freshman. "You okay?" Kim asked, kneeling down and helping him up. "Yeah," the guy said, pulling the suction cup dart off his forehead. "I only hurt my pride. I was hoping to make it to the third round at least. Oh well." "Don't feel too bad. I just have a lot of experience with people trying to sneak up on me. So how does this work now?" "Well," the guy said. "You call in the kill to Lucas, then you keep on going after the victim you were assigned. Meanwhile, I go turn your victim profile in to Lucas, and he'll give it to whoever was after me. Then you have to worry about them." "Great." Kim said. "That was a good shot." the guy said. "I think you're gonna do well in this game." "I hope so." Kim said. "Look, I have to get to class, so I hope you're going to be okay." "I'll be fine. Tell you what, since I have to go to his office anyway, I'll confirm the kill with Lucas. You go ahead to class." "Thanks. Tell him to give me a call if he wants me to confirm it myself." "Will do. Good luck!" With that the guy was off across the quad towards the TAG referee's office in the Student Union. Kim sighed and made her way towards the Science building. "I am so gonna have a talk with Ron about convincing me to do this..." *** --Erin M.
