SEE LAST POST FOR FINAL PICTURE - THANKS FOR YOUR HELP TOO ---- SEE MY LAST POST FOR MY HELP I NEED ---- Just a bit of a work in progress picture. I still have TONS to go with it, as the transition between Pencil and Illustrator sometimes dont go well, and this is one of those times. I need to make her head much rounder or shorter (the face is too long in other words) and I know the mouth looks like crap (I may just directly copy the one i made in my other Kim picture.) And ive JUST started on the hair strokes, and have yet to do any shading or highlights. But whateva... for a WIP at the moment what do you think? Oh and PS, yes she will have a top in the final picture:P

Maybe it's the nose, but she looks more like Lois on "Family Guy" than Kim. Still, it looks very nice.

Ive recently hit a deleima. If you see in my above pictures, the image was to cut off just at the top of her Breast line. Well I hit a snap and realized that her neck was WAYYYYY too long, and had to move her neck and chest a few inches up. Well with moving the neck up, more of her chest is exposed, to the point where anatomy would kick in and say that nipples and a cleavage line would have to be drawn. while after a while I decided on keeping her pretty much naked, as if she was in the shower (which she is) I wanted to keep it on a level of PG-13 Friendly. I do not want to draw nipples. I can get away with a cleavage line, but its gonna be some hard work to do some hair manipulation to get parts of her hair covering where her nipples should be. I know your asking why couldn't I just move her hair and head down, instead of her chest up, well no go, because the initial outline has her hair on a front layer, where it i moved it, EVERY individual hair strand, shadow, and even her whole neck and chest anyway, would need to be redrawn. Your also saying why not just cut it off where it was supposed to be anyway? well doing that would cut a large portion of her hair off, and i dont think it would just look weird. not to mention I really like how the bottom of her hair came out:( ANYWAY...... what im asking for help here, is where would a good place to place the starting point of an extra hair extension to be placed so that it will eventually slink down her shoulders covering up her nipples? Also on a unrelated note to the problem im having, what do you think about me removing her eyes in favor of having them closed? What i found out to be my biggest irk with the picture (aside from her neck thats causing all of this) is that I could NOT draw her eyes in a way where it didnt look like she was looking blankly into space. I think having her eyes closed as the water falls on her (well when i ADD the water) would look much better. What do you think?

Well, you COULD draw in those areas, and once you're done just crop the pic so they aren't in the frame anymore. That's what I do sometimes when I find I screwed up the proportions and I can't easily go back and fix it.

Wow, I like it, getting more Kim-ish every bit by bit... By the way, is Adobe Illustrator expensive?

That's the problem you will face if you submit a half-finished drawing into illustrator for coloring. What I usually do is draw a few drafts and I never submit any sketches into photoshop until I have ironed out everything and that I am completely happy with my final draft.
On the other hand I do rarely encounter things I might want changed half way into the coloring process. But they are minor changes.
With your problem though, I guess you can move her body up to her head, but decrease the canvas size to exclude the nipple area. I'm not familiar with illustrator but I'm quite sure they are similar to photoshop.
The other solution would be to merge all of the hair layers that is in front of the head and lock the layers together with the head layer. Then move the head layer down.
Still I think the simplest method is to just decrease the canvas size to hide her nipple area.

Thanks LL ill give a try on the layer thing. if not I guess I will just crop it out. as for illustrator being expensive. its not VERY expensive, but itll cost you. Its about 250 bucks for the latest one. I got lucky and was given Illustrator 9 for free by my neighbor who already had CS1 when it came out, and then I bought an illustrator CS3 update disk on ebay for like 80 bucks.

I think I came up with a decent solution to it. I made the hair shorter, and not as much of it. making it look shorter allowed me to move the neck down some where hair in front of her nipple area looks ok instead of adding strands that stretch much longer than they probably would:p

I THINK im done. I may go back and change that water stream coming out of the shower head and add some individual drops of water but for now, I think im done. Im happy with it overall after what i went through with this thing. Something still feels a bit off, but for the most part i really like it now. thanks everyone who helped and commented. Expecailly you levelord. your solution worked nearly perfectly. After doing what you suggested, I only had to make 1 other minor edit to make ti look good.
