I think they work for no one. That's a scary thought. A rogue organization running around policing the world... oh, wait. That's the Bush Administration. My bad.

Oh, satire. Clearly, it's an international organisation, hence the "Global". Command & Conquer's Global Defence Iniative sounds similar. I thought they were part of a KP-world equivalent of the UN called the Global Alliance, but obviously not. I'd say that UN must have more punch and political will to have an action arm like GJ, if it's even part of the UN. Maybe they recover gear from ruined lairs and patent it, like the MiBs did with alien technology. That could make them self-financing. I mean so far they seem to be letting two teenagers do their job for them for free AND as a hobby. They must do a lot of other work that's too big, complex or political to solved with cheer-fu, a grappling gun and a can-do attitude. Busting supervillains is simple in principle: We know who the bad guy is, and they're undoubtedly bad. Let's blow up his stuff. That's where Kim's in her element, and she might be a good poster girl for GJ (or at least a pin-up for their agents.) Kim and Ron are good against a villain in his lair, but they couldn't blockade a port, or something. On the other hand, maybe Kim has a lot of favours in the bank for bringing peace to the Indian/Pakistani border.
